Great ship and really nice to see the work process, particularly that you guys all met up and did it. It's nice to see positive things like that coming out of these forums. Are there any more projects on the horizon?

We most certainly plan on more projects for the future, as much as we can actually.

Well I can spot another ship in CGH's place, on the yellow sofa.

I haven't seen it anywhere before and it looks cool. Perhaps that's a small thing they're working on too?

We'll see! I'm sure that ship will be around the forum if it is finished.

nice^^ now we know how you build big ships! how many were you to build it finally ? 3 ? 4 ?

Errorist worked on the stern in Amsterdam and helped the first day of rigging in Belgium. CGH worked also at those same moments on the ship but besides that the good captain has been guiding me through the entire project and more important, he let be borrow his tumblehome technique and his brand new technique for making the galleries like they've been made on this ship (under 2 angles). He had developed that technique on a small test model, but it was not yet done on a real ship. I'm eternally grateful for being allowed to use these 2 wonderful techniques!

I think it would be cooler if you keep the secret a secret, and let people guess! Let people try to design a tumblehome as well.

Although it's still your secret of course and you may decide what to do with it!

I got my inspiration from listening to Nightwish and watching movies like Master and Commander, Hornblower and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Captain Green Hair's ships are a huge source of inspiration for details on the ship. Bonaparte's ship too.

Sleeping does a great job too, last time I woke up and I suddenly had a magnificient idea.

Why confused? I used to be a real Trekkie in my youth. I've seen every episode of The Next Generation many times, same for Voyager, DS9, the movies. I even speak some Klingon

The galleries are made with horizontal plate hinges and attached to the ship with pins, under an angle.

Thanks, the ship was mainly inspired by the HMS Victory and other ships of her time, it also explains the colour scheme.

The sails are made of an old treated Ikea curtain I had laying around.
