gogglev Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Hey everyone, Long time lurker here, thought this is the first time I have actually registered at the site. I used to be quite into Lego Star Wars when they first came out 10 years ago, can you really believe its been that long? I started focusing my collecting towards Japanese toys a few years back and with both being rather expensive, I just slowly stopped buying sets. Now with the bad exchange rates, it's gotten rather prohibitive to spend 200 dollars on a figure and another 60 on shipping so I've decided to get back into Legos. gogglev Posted May 18, 2009 Author Posted May 18, 2009 Thanks for the welcome guys :) @Captain Zuloo I did actually see the new pirate sets in stores, I almost wanted to pick some up due to sheer nostalgia. I remember looking through my old brick kicks and Lego Mania magazines wanting the old pirate ships. Are these new sets seem to be updated versions of the original ones? They almost look identical save for the addition of newer pieces. Also, didn't the ship used to be blackbeards bounty? Did they change the name due to copyright issues or something?
