It's Babel all over again... a thousand voices, crying out in incomprehension...

TheBrickster, would it be possible to update the first post with just the factual clues as we have them? Maybe if the leader of each group did as WhiteFang suggested waaaaay back on the first page and posted a summary of the clues from their subchapter, it would make it clearer what we need to do amongst all the talk of Johnson rods and switch hitters?

It may help us lost little lambs if we can see all the info side by side. I get the feeling that otherwise this group would be more than likely to try each and every one of the 128 switch combos or 100,000 safe code permutations

Damn you people, don't you understand the concept of roleplaying?

Eleanor's like "bohohoo, my life sucks" and you're all "okay, now get a grip and look at this map".

I should probably start a forum-based RPG here, just to teach you guys how to act it out a little.

My character is about to lecture your character on gun safety and throw rocks at your character (only the crappy unimportant rocks, of course). The pony has also been trained to bite you (not your character). :hmpf:

My character is about to... throw rocks at your character (only the crappy unimportant rocks, of course).

A public stoning of a much-hated character would be an original and inventive twist

It means everyone *is* guilty and in fact *we* have committed the murder!

TheBrickster, that is a genius take on the mystery format!

 I see how you and Shadows fit together, now so clearly!

 I already asked him if this was the intended ending and he assures me, it's not. Apparently, that's just the way it is... :sceptic:

Oh, man, I'm so dead. Come on guys! I'm trying to be more useful. Please don't stone me. :cry_sad:

I just wanted to said, Brickster/Max response towards Hinck's Johnson rod, gave me an extremely good laugh!

I can't see the summary in one proper post from the leaders or assistant leaders. For my side, I could re-summarised it again and include my new findings. For now, I had been looking through all 3 topics, and doing cross referencing. It's kind of hard though.

So, for this code, should we be looking for clues in notes, or in set and thread numbers?

I believe the Mayor, had even tried the topic number in their chapters.

Good try Schmelt, but that's the leaders job. You've gotten very far, but have missed a few things. Look back through the posts and see what you may have missed.

I will give you a clue that the two chapters where you didn't pick up everything you needed include "Looking for Repair Parts" and "Mysteries of Main Street".

Oh, and the Farm too.

Yes! And everyone thought that our group was the useless one!

Yes! And everyone thought that our group was the useless one!

It wasn't the whole group.

Okay. So we actually just found a map, and then went somewhere. But I went up the stairs! Twice! I'm so brave!

In that case, let's go to the hotel once more. Enough waiting and discussion already. Can anyone (who wasn't in our group) think of anything that we may have missed in the Mayor's office? Perhaps you would like to check the ceiling, Brakes?

Oh, and the Farm too.

Do we just need to read the chapter again or do we need to go back? I felt like we made a lot more progress, but I couldn't come up with much in the summary... Anyone else from my group around today??

I'm going to reread it right now.

I've provided a summary of facts (not all necessarily clues) in Chapter 8.

PLEASE NOTE: I will be unable to post between now and Wednesday evening, but I'll go ahead and leave Chapter 8 open for discussion. Actions may occur once I return from my trip and I catch up with the thread.

See you soon!

(Don't know if this is allowed, eh Hinck?)

I couldn't contribute to Chapter 7 as I was preoccupied with my mother catching a cold and completely milking it as per usual, so sorry.

I've read through it anyway and I'll contribute to Chapter 8 :sweet:

What are you talking about??

We're roleplaying just fine. It's just that nobody cares about Eleanor. :sceptic:

Guys, I know you're having a laugh at the expense of my character here, but please try to keep it from getting too personal. I'm a person with feelings as well, and right now I don't feel very welcome to participate in this game... :sceptic:

Sandy, I think they are just fooling around. Don't take them too personal. We are having fun, and so are you and I. It's not easy to gather a bunch of wacky, sane, crazy multiple personalities in one fun interactive game together. Let's continue to explore and discover some of these final clues and we are almost a step closer to solve the mystery. :classic:

What are you talking about??

Me posting in this topic

Sorry you're not feeling welcome. I really am surprised that somebody who is so openly critical of the host and the other players doesn't have a thicker skin. :sceptic:

Sandy, aren't you taking this whole Murder Mystery thing a bit too seriously? Give it a break, we're all just having a bubble here. I myself have also been irritated at times, but what's the use in that anyway?! Play along and have fun, I say...

Now then, WHO decided that I was impatient? I did let you ramble on about stuff without coming to a plausible solution for one entire chapter without r-guing about anything :) Plus Hincks, I'll have you know that Scruffy is a proud Great Dane, not just some mutt!

Does anybody understand what this guy's saying? I can't wait until this game is over and he stops talking in that dog accent. Good boy, TheOtters. Good boy, sit. Stay.
