Lordofdragonss Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) Today first episode of Space Police series apeared in LegoClubTV: Space Police Log 01: Interrogation I must say.. I love it! Animation is beautiful, and very climatic. Can't wait for more episodes! And why there is no Space Police building set? It looks awesome! Edited May 20, 2009 by Lordofdragonss Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Very nice. Too bad it isn't out over here. I am torn between showing my little brother because he will enjoy it, and not showing it because he'll want the Lego and get disappointed. *sigh* Quote
CP5670 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 That was exceptionally well done. I just wish it was longer. Is this a TLG promotion of some sort? Quote
Raphy Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Hey Peppermint, there's a solution for that . . . . eBay! Or, maybe you have some relatives that live where they're sold . . . . They could pass 'em on to you . . . . Quote

They could pass 'em on to you . . . . Surely these sets would be available on UK Shop at Home? I would buy some of the smaller sets to get the aliens. Even if they do not release them in retail shops, what difference does it make to their centralised european distribution site where they despatch to? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Nope. No UK release anywhere. And I will hopefully be getting some on my trip to Canada in August, but it would wind my brother up something aweful to see all this info and not have much chance to get them (as it is he may not be able to choose, I'll only be able to get what I can pack...). Quote
Optimus Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 That was pretty good. That Police HQ does look quite neat and it would be nice if it actually became a set. Quote
mikey Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Nope. No UK release anywhere. That's just crazy, absolutly on logic at all. Looks like it's finding a European shop with reasonable markup and postage then... They are been released in Europe I hope? Quote
Still Raindrop Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 That video is wonderful! It's extremely funny, but the humor is hard to pin down; I think it's all the little touches that make it so good. Everything about it captures that elusive LEGO spirit: the realization that something can be lighthearted and whimsical while simultaneously being awesome. Quote

Again, Ebay will provide all the Space Police you will ever need. Some of the sets are available there already. Quote
Hayato Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I spoke to one of the Lego repS at Milton Keynes at the weekend and he said that they were getting space police in next month or two and that they would only be available via Lego stores or online. Hope this helps Quote

What really makes me laugh is the "getting rid of the wall graphity", by just adding another layer of bricks in front of it. Quote
Algernon Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I like the quasi-serious attitude of the video. It was almost like a real cop show, but in Space and LEGO-ized. Quote
Wobo Ihi Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 (edited) It's great that they decided to do a stop-motion film and not some silly 3D animation for a change. Looking forward to the next part. Edited May 22, 2009 by Wobo Ihi Quote
RichardAM Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I saw this a few days ago and is the sole-reason i'm now hyped for the theme. Previously I couldn't care less about the sets, but after viewing the promo at the weekend I am now a lot more excited. Quote
