Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 You know, I just had an idea! Sanctuary could be where someone hides valuables, like train parts! Someone with something heavy should go over and break open the wall where the X is. X marks the spot! Find the treasure!Who wants to be the hero? ... Are you trying to kill me?! I've got the heavy flashlight, I'm in the front, and now I'm supposed to step forward, thinking I'm saving the day, only to get my balls smashed in by a crazy axe man?!
WesternOutlaw Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 As Pete shines the light along the walls, you do see a small tool rack with some miscellaneous tools. They include a set (8) screwdrivers of various length, a hammer, rubber mallet, a large wrench, and a drill. There are also a few small boxes of various nuts, screws, and bolts sitting on the floor.
Shadows Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ... Are you trying to kill me?! I've got the heavy flashlight, I'm in the front, and now I'm supposed to step forward, thinking I'm saving the day, only to get my balls smashed in by a crazy axe man?! You secondary characters have a lot more life points than we do. But I suppose, if you aren't man enough ...
Izzy Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 And Dave, that's an interesting uniform you've got there. Did you say you're a conductor? I was aye, that I was. But I have retired now though. Pity... I do miss the hustle and bustle of the old line. *picks up the hammer off the small tool rack* This might come in handy. C'mon then you lot. I'll take the lead. I knew my way around this old shed once, I used to come in here sometimes, back when I was a Conductor.
Shadows Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 some writing along one of the walls. Written in a red marker is the word "Sanctuary" followed by an "X". *picks up the hammer off the small tool rack* This might come in handy. C'mon then you lot. I'll take the lead. I knew my way around this old shed once, I used to come in here sometimes, back when I was a Conductor. Excellent, Davey. Perhaps you could tell us what "Sanctuary" might mean, over there on that wall, or better still, what might be behind that wall, specifically where the X marks the spot. If you aren't sure, that big ol' hammer might hold the answer.
WhiteFang Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I was aye, that I was. About time. I thought you wanted to lurk behind the dark while leaving the rest of us in front. It's a good thing that you used to work here before. Time to show us around this place and find the remaining parts. By the way, did you see that message before?
Izzy Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Me lurk? No... I guess being back in here just bought back all the memories of when I was a train conductor so I was a little distracted. Oh, the stories I could tell you..... about conducting and such! Message? What message? The "Get Out" one? Probably just kids. Abandoned buildings.... kids. You know how they are.
Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Why, hello, Davey! I hadn't seen you before. Message? What message? The "Get Out" one? Probably just kids. Abandoned buildings.... kids. You know how they are. No, he's referring to the 'Sanctuary X' one. You secondary characters have a lot more life points than we do.But I suppose, if you aren't man enough ... Is that true? Well, I suppose, since you're suggesting everybody else step forward, if you aren't man enough... Ah, what the heck. Throw me the hammer, I'll smash the wall open. You lot keep your eyes on the mallet, wrench, and drill, those could deal some damage.
WesternOutlaw Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Pete grabs the mallet and begins pounding at the word "Sanctuary" and the "X". The dry wall quickly comes loose revealing a brick wall. There is no evidence that there is anything special or unordinary about this spot. The wall does not look tampered with. Shining the light toward the dark, the group continues walking along an old track leading further into the shed...
Shadows Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I'm man enough to pick a lock when we need it, until then, I plan to stay alive. Pete grabs the mallet and begins pounding at the word "Sanctuary" and the "X". Oh, it doesn't say "Sanctuary X", it says "Herring"
Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Alright then, that was pointless. Now, I'm handing the flashlight to Brakes. I'm also staying in the middle until we reach the end of the shed.
Shadows Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Alright then, that was pointless. Now, I'm handing the flashlight to Brakes. I'm also staying in the middle until we reach the end of the shed. I'll be right on your megablocks behind you, every inch of the way. What exactly are we doing now, anyway? Well, I know what I'm doing, but what are we supposed to be doing?
Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 What exactly are we doing now, anyway? Well, I know what I'm doing, but what are we supposed to be doing? I think we're supposed to be walking *slowly* forward.
Shadows Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I think we're supposed to be walking *slowly* forward. Sounds like a plan.
Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 So, how's this walking plan working out? Have we discovered anything? Or do we want to go to sleep and not lose sleep deprivation points?
WhiteFang Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 *Taking the torchlight and shine even further* We ain't going to stop until we explored this entire place, and find the parts we needed. The rest of the groups are waiting for us to get this thing done, and get our locomotive moving again. Well, we just note carefully on the old rail tracks walking on those. These rails are out of service for a very long time. I wonder what is the end of this road. Another train hiding down there?
Da Death Star! Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Vell Zmashing ze wall up didn't help vone bit. Could zomeone hand me a Torch? It'z dark in here .
Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Well, if we continue walking this slowly, we'll never find anything. Vell Zmashing ze wall up didn't help vone bit. Could zomeone hand me a Torch? It'z dark in here . There's only one torch.
WhiteFang Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Well, if we continue walking this slowly, we'll never find anything. I think all of us are kind of scared about stepping onto some spooky stuff. There's only one torch. I believe so. Mine got damaged during the fall, and this is the most powerful torch we had. Where do you want to shine at?
Adam Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I believe so. Mine got damaged during the fall, and this is the most powerful torch we had. Where do you want to shine at? Perhaps its best that in addition to shining ahead, we point the light upwards?
Izzy Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Maybe you should run then.... if you are all scared. Back in my day... *mutters about "kids these days"* *Takes torch and does an extensive sweep of all directions, the promptly begins to walk forwards again*
Adam Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I'm not scared! I'm just emotional. Now give the flashlight back to Brakes and let's move forward!
WesternOutlaw Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 The group slowly walks into the darkness fearing that the worst may be ahead. A trap perhaps? The manifestation of evil waiting in the darkness, as if ready to jump upon your souls... What hides where the flashlight doesn't shine? Step... Step... Step... Into the darkness. Sweat begins to form on your foreheads as light shivers seem to run down your back. The track is rusting and unused, but something shines in the distance. It seems to be a large object covered by a dusty canvas tarp. You procede with caution, slowly approaching the large object on the track. Some of you begin envisioning a shining dark green and orange BNSF locomotive, while others see a creature hiding under the large cover with sharp fangs dripping as it waits in the darkness. You arrive at the object, bigger than what you expected. Pete and David grap the tarp pulling it away from the object. It is a... it is a... It is a rusting red train engine that some of you recognize as a Swiss Crocodile locomotive. Will this be your ticket out of Willoughby? You can only hope as the group decides what to do next...
Darth_Legois Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I still think we should try and the the Emerald Express up and running but maybe if that doesnt work out we can use this as Plan B? What do you guys think? Also I'm not falling asleep anytime soon, Maybe if (since we need rest) take shifts to sleep/stay awake and guard. ? I think thats a good idea.... *Keeps looking around carefully for other things we may need*
Adam Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Well, this is perfect! Just go in that loco and you'll find the remaining train parts! And if not, then this could always be a Plan B. I'll go inside and search around for a bracket, and we desperately need a Johnson Rod! (Sorry, I had to! )
