Holodoc Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Those pics are really cool. Holodoc. Will you put the others you made to the brickshelf gallery or will you post some more here? Patience, young padawan! This is whole a lot of stuff, I´m currently uploading. While deeplinking works right now, here´s some more. Leaving home: This may be the title of our event: USE THE FORCE! (we had to put in our hotel card to have electricity in our rooms) First competition - the quiz! Group shot: The eventees with their badge and avatars: Copmike and the "bible". Alex54 Jipay Capt. Green Hair Zorro KimT Morten Quarryman DJForce Bonaparte Capt. Kirk DFenz Dennimator Ras74 Hopefully anyone took a picture of me? Later on - the EXTRAS: the "french connection" is really impressed... Even more later on: Stacking competition. Stack as many 2x3 bricks in one minute as you can. Morten and Jipay really doing well! Even the staff of the restaurant gave it a try. Brave Ines. Sorry, I don´t have photos of the color-guessing contest. Jelly Rat Spit Competition (children, don´t do this at home!): CGH at full speed - step aside, please! "Who´s the EA (event admin)?" Next day, browsing the buildershop behind the scenes. Just a few impressions, see the complete folder link below to see more (and there was a lot to see). tourist attractions micro scale My son with a tiny WALL.E (I have to rebuild this at home! ) Bonaparte next to his alter ego. (On the cupboard, first row, right in front of the blue pole) Closeup Miniland Star Wars united. Impressions of Atlantis: Our hotel after the hard rain on thursday. There are two rainbows! Changes made to the miniland (from 2007-2009) Barrack visiting Angela (to the very right) and Mrs. Obama with her dog (middle). Some personal photos: A gigantic brick filled with bricks "When are you finished? I´m getting bored with this!" One word about the hotel: DON´T EVER GO THERE! To cut a long story short: They messed it up charging breakfast we didn´t have and not being able to provide an internet connection they make promotion with on their website. There was even more, but preventing me from a myocardial infarction I chose to eliminate the memory of this. Thank you - and don´t ever mention it again. The complete folder. It´s worth a click! Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 Great pictures so far. I know we can always count on KimT and Holodoc. Also good that Zorro had a great camera and ran around as a paparazzi. The pictures of all the Eventees where great Doctor, should have asked for someone to borrow your camera. *Mental note to-self* Jeess... Dennimator is getting all over this place. He is almost more cocky then Khorne after Windsor. He really grow some nice fighting attitude About the fight of the EuroHotel: Me and Kim was watching this in some distance. We thought if you would have gone up to the normally friendly doctor at that moment and pocked him in the side, he would have blown up. So good to have someone that can pick good fights in the language that is spooken where you are. *Starts saving money*How much do you got by now??-Ras- Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Thx for sharing the photos Paparazzis... it's nice to see them. Thx for sharing the photos Paparazzis... it's nice to see them. Quote
Dragonator Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Looks like you guys had tremendous fun, I too am envious. I'd have to save up an awful lot more than Hinckley to make it next year. Ah well, can't have everything. Some of those contests look pretty wacky, what I notice though is the diversity of Lego-themed T-shirts. Just something that jumped out at me. And of course, who wouldn't be envious of that awesome goodies bag! Envy ON indeed! Looks like you saw lots of cool things behind the scenes at the builders shop, again, very envious. Just look at all those drawers of bricks! You guys sure are lucky to live in a part of the world that you can all get together. Quote
Dennimator Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Dennimator, stop posting and build that damn village! I´m finished. Time: 2.07.47 I told you it was doable! Quote
DJ Force Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Nope, you failed. You said 2 hours! How did you build it? From each bag individually or did you throw all the bricks on one big pile? My wife built it from the bags and needed 5 hours, but she isn´t well trained. I needed app. 4 to 5 hours after I dismantled the village and threw everything on one pile. Well, I didn´t really stop the time but I managed to watch 2 movies during that time. And my sister tried too and needed 7 hours from a big pile, but she also isn´t trained well. Quote
Mariann Asanuma Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Man, it looks like you guys had a cool time! I do kind of envy all the goodies you got! When I saw this photo, I just had to remark about it. I know him! Bernd (at least I think that's how to spell his name ), the Model Builder. He and the other Bernd came and worked over at LEGOLAND California with my Model Shop crew when we were building Miniland Florida a few years ago. They built a six foot tall Vehicle Assembly Building for the Kennedy Space Center area. Sadly, the models are no longer in California. They can now be seen in Denmark. Also, a copy of the area is at LEGOLAND Windsor in England. He's a great guy, and I enjoyed the month that I was able to work with him. Quote
Holodoc Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I know him! Bernd (at least I think that's how to spell his name ), the Model Builder. This "Bernd" is spelled S-t-e-f-a-n. Close. But no cigar. Quote

Nope, I said around 2 hours. No fail. Around is like up to 2.15. Still better than 4 hrs. I threw all bricks in a big pile. Those Technic pieces was a pain in the a$$ to find... Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Wow. That is all really amazing. I have to make this a priority for next year. *Starts saving money* Yeah, too bad you couldn't make it, again.. Would be really cool to have you there next year buddy, so start saving up! Ok, I need to get myself a passport! Yeah, would be cool to see you there as well. Maybe you and Hinck can fly together on 1 seat and save some money. Nope, I said around 2 hours. No fail. Hinckley Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 And that's it from me Did you guys have a similar "experience" as we did in Denmark? Quote

Izzy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 (edited) Yes, we are planning long long ahead. One income only makes it hard to save. It will be a holiday in Britain, and maybe France if we can afford it It will be our first time to a Legoland. (or Event, if one should happen to exist ) Edited May 27, 2009 by Cutlass_Iz Quote

Captain Zuloo Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 A trip to Windsor wouldn't be wrong, should be possible I think. I could possibly get there then. Although, even though there's no LEGOLAND here, Australia would be even better. :pir-tounge: Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 And when? Weren't that pretty much settled too? Yes it kind of is.We will for sure do it before the 21/05/10, so that everyone that got the Merlin-Super-Duper-Extra-Plus-Rare-LEGOLAND-All-Year-All-Park-Season-Card can use it next year as well. this will in a few year do that we will go to several events, when no park is open It will be our first time to a Legoland. (or Event, if one should happen to exist )If we get the opportunity to have such a pleassure to get a fine lady from down-under here, we really can´t miss the chance to bring some of the very finest members of EB there to meet up with you. Bring as many Aussies you can at that time I really hope that some good members have joined then -Ras- Quote
