Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Governor Posted November 22, 2005 I've noticed that the yellow link text in the threads doesn't constrast or stand out enough from the yellow backgrounds, especially when the link isn't bold. I don't have an LCD or plasma screen monitor so that might be why. Anyone else experience this? An example: Test link Is it possible the link text colour could be made slightly darker? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Author Governor Posted November 22, 2005 This time against the other background colour... Example: Test link Quote
Starwars4J Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 This time against the other background colour...Example: Test link I didn't see any difference, but I agree, the links don't stand out as much as they could Quote
Jipay Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 this is just temporary. The potter month will end up soon so it should be managed then :) Quote
ApophisV Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Hm, I will try to take care of it, though I'm not sure if there is a darker color than the brown for it. (I could make the links black but then they wouldn't differ much from the normal text) Quote
ApophisV Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I changed it to the color "Maroon" (Hex: 800000), which is slightly darker... If you still want it to be darker I will change it to black since this is the only color that goes along with the yellow / brown theme and that is darker than brown and maroon... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Author Governor Posted November 22, 2005 If its only temporary then there's not much point! We can live with it for a while longer. But if you do decide to change the colour can't you use a hexidecimal colour like #D9AD00 EDIT: That'd be right! As soon as I reply there's already been action taken! Service sure is fast here at EuroBricks! Oh well, forget my latest repsonse! Quote
ApophisV Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 EDIT: That'd be right! As soon as I reply there's already been action taken! Service sure is fast here at EuroBricks! Hehe, the only reason for that is that by accident I slept too long and missed my first lessons this morning... :$ :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 22, 2005 Author Governor Posted November 22, 2005 You slept in? Huh! I'm confused! I meant I began writing my previous post, went away for an hour, came back and finished the post, then pressed "Add reply", but by that time you'd already changed the links to Maroon and posted again in the thread again. Did that make sense? Do I even know what I'm writing about? But the links haven't changed colour on my end yet. I assumed it would be instantaneous! Quote
ApophisV Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 But the links haven't changed colour on my end yet. I assumed it would be instantaneous! Hmmm for me it works... Anybody else still has troubles with the links? Quote
snefroe Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 i'm confused here... at first i thought you guys were refering to the yellow links at the beginning of the month. then Apo changed it to brown, since then i'm getting brown links. that works great! so no problems there. the only yellow text i still have is the text that refers to parts you've copied from other posts, like "Mr. Phes says:" followed by whatever you've copied, but that's it... But as jipay said, the month's almost over anyway... Quote
ApophisV Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Sne, do you refere to the quote headline? BTW it should look for everybody like my screenshot, if it doesn't I have no idea why.... *wacko* Quote
snefroe Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Sne, do you refere to the quote headline?BTW it should look for everybody like my screenshot, if it doesn't I have no idea why.... *wacko* i was refering to the orange/yellow... Quote
ApophisV Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I wasn't able to find the style sheet to do the changes... But slowly I'm understanding all those style sheet functions, so maybe the next theme will feature less mistakes! ;) Quote
Starwars4J Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Sne, do you refere to the quote headline?BTW it should look for everybody like my screenshot, if it doesn't I have no idea why.... *wacko* For me, it still looked yellow, and it still does :/ Quote
ApophisV Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Maybe some of you have to clean their Temporary Internet Files?!? I can't think of another reason for the link color problem than that the old style sheets are still located in your local cache... *wacko* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 24, 2005 Author Governor Posted November 24, 2005 A cleaning of the cache yielded no results :( Nor did loading the forum in an Internet browser I'd never viewed it in before, so thereby impossible that browser could have any cached files. Quote
KMOI Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Also, the link colour is kinda funky when you try to dearch another user's posts. I couldn't see the link for the "post preview" because it's the same colour as the background. It's not a big problem though, I can always do my Ctrl+A trick. :-D Quote
ApophisV Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Weird.... :/ One theory might be that changes at the skin won't have any effect as long as you use this skin... (But then I wonder why I can see the changes? Because I made them?!) Can somebody try to change to the standard skin and then back to Potter Skin? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 25, 2005 Author Governor Posted November 25, 2005 Yeah sure! I'll do it! Oh wait... I can't... Nevermind... Someone else do it... Quote
