is a steady and reliable supply of ships stores and materials. This building (I thought) was going to be my first attempt at modifying a medeival market set but something entirely different emerged from the building process. It still needs a few minor touches on the outside a brick or a tile here and there on the roof as well. I also need to finish it off on the inside. As you can see from the pictures I build my buildings modular so that they come apart which makes them easier to store but mostly have playability. So here it is...it took three days of on and off building (Friday I was staring at 9 empty bases scratching my head...so please tell me what you think and any suggestions for changes or things you'd like to see as I finish this up.

Very very very cool! I really like the madular design. I also like seeing all the updates of items that will be going into your port. As I work on my port project, its cool to see what others are doing.

I think I am going to go to a modular design on most of my latest projects as well. Simply for the fact that it is hard to go to brickworld with a Fort built on a 48x48 that is tall as sin.

Anyways, I love the use of the color, and it really feel "real" to me. I look forward to seeing this in your overall port!

looking good, and i like the idea to go with a modular design. I usualy build my houses seperatly so i can play about with getting them in the best position on the layout. The building looks good and is a nice size, i find that 1x1 rounds make quite attractive details if you place them around the windows, it helps to break up the overall brown look, check out one of mine to see what i mean. As regarding building mountains, the inside wont be seen, so dont worry about trying to make it look neat. I usually build surports using 2x4 bricks, but anything will do. Just make sure that when you rest your plates on top, the structure is sturdy. I will try and post a pic for you.

Thanks...This is my first 100% original creation I've posted (as oppossed to more MOD type creations). I definately borrowed a few things from some of your designs. Especially the round cobbles and it won't be the last time . I'll take a look at the details for the walls as they are quite massive and breaking them up a little would be good. I wanted this one to be a little more spartan as it is a working naval building. It looks a little better in person (as they always do) because it does have a slight mix of differnt brown shades that gives it a little something to break up the brown.

I've be currious about you mountain interiors as I have long planed a similar type topographic design. I am going to use 1x16 stacked boxes to create the interior but I needs 1000's to pull off my plan. Once I get my garage back from my contractor I'll have some space to start playing around. Your stuff has deffinately inspired my building.

Loos good The only suggestion I can think of is too add a dock if it is near the beach or a big cart in the front part of the building. Some day I intend to build a fort as nice as this one, but for now I need to get my hands on some Red coats and a Black Seas Barracuda.

Huzzah! quite impressive! i did something similar in terms of modular design but you pulled it off perfectly! I especially love the fact you can see three levels into the thing allowing for perfect playing space and alot of room to add small details! You should put a padlock or guard detail near the rum supply congratulations on a great piece of work!

Looking good... but can I indicate you when you taking the eventual photos that it has a beautiful clean background… like white (if possible no white blankets). The moc will look better and it presented more beautiful.

Yes I'll have to do that. I've been meaning to run down to the office supply store and get some poster board. That is actually a white wall behind it but my walls are very heavily textured. Thanks any photo pointers are appreciated...not my strongest ability.
