Luke would say : "What a piece of junk!"

I don't agree with you bricks, this set doesn't deserve a 9/10,

pro : The desk...

cons: Too few minifig, design is really bad, the interior is so small! Seriously, if this set set deserve a 9, the 10192 Space skull deserve a 9 too

This is just my opinion, I know this set will be bought by looooots of people by the way ;)

Sets are often rated highly in the reviews in here, and there's often a little poll in which you can show whether you agree or not.

I really like how bricks shows us detailed pictures of the details of the real set. Good job there bricks.

Your opinion about the set is clearly not shared by everyone, but the drive-by trolling by the anonymous coward is completely unacceptable.

Again. Thank you for the good pictures and time you have spend to give to this community.

I think the dropship and the AT-OP is one of the worst sets ever made and people who bought it lost their minds.

I bought it :classic:

Piss poor review, piss poor website, piss poor members.

:hmpf:

Thanks for that great addition to this review :sceptic:

Everyone's entitled to their opinion on any given set and those who think this is a great set are more than welcome to think so.

I am sorry, but your rudeness is against you.

Goodbye.

Poll added.

Nicely put and I completely agree.

Thanks for this review. I have decided to build this thing myself, (which is more ambitious than it sounds, as I only build small models.) So far I've built the a frame in front, and these pictures arereally good. The review itself is good, despite what others say.. :hmpf_bad:

But the set itself seems okay. I'll pass, due to the sentence above, but it looks okay. And if one had a clone battle pack, they could convert it into a troop transport.

Oh, and does the heavy cannon go into either side? It would stink if it only opened on 1 side.

It's not a good design but with enough modifications(or let's say a redesign...) it'll be fine.

Nice review though!

Yes it does. I'm pretty sure theres a video of it on youtube or flickr

edit: The cannon actually slides from side to side.

Magic

..or MAYBE, because Lego publishes sales from its website :hmpf:

I would like to see a link to where you think they publish set sales.

Also this is from brickset...

8039 is now listed on LEGOShop.com, priced at £97.85 in the UK and €139 in most Euro-zone countries, and is available now.

This is sure to be a popular set: it's been in Brickset's popular searches list since day one of the new site launch and is in the top ten of the most wanted set list, so order 8039 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser from LEGOshop.com now!

Deal with it, people have a different opinion than you, most have a different opinion than you, and the megablocks you say and try to pass off as fact is just stupidity or lies.

Good Review, but not a very good set in my opinion.

It's way too small, we don't get many figure and barely an interior. If I was Lego, I'd knock down the price about 20 bucks (So about 100 U.S dollars for the people who don't know math ). But hey, what do I know?

You'd better deal with the fact that we expect our members to adress each other in a more calm and adult manner.

Skip the bs words and think before you post.

Thank you :classic:

This set isn't very good, it could've been way better. :sceptic:

Wow, what an extremely useful addition to this review.

You might consider adding a little more than that next time.

Perhaps even go as far as explaining what could have been better might be an idea :hmpf:

Great review Bricks!

It's not a great set in my opinion. The Venator is too small in comparison with his length. To be honest, I haven't seen the Clone Wars movie, so I don't know how it looks like in CW.

You can be sure that a true Venator does not look like this #8039. :hmpf:

Nice review Bricks. The only problem I see with this set is the lack of minifigures when compared to the 6211 ISD. Thats not a big deal, though. Oh, and just so I don't buck the trend: *Insert negative comment about the writer of this review, the review itself, the set, newborn puppies, and life in general*

The exterior of this set is good, and the new minifigures are excellent. I still have issues with the stickers which seem to be in every set these days and the amount of minifigures. A couple more clones and a new Jedi or two would have been nice. I wish the designers had used the interior structure like the Star Destroyer, when you lift off the top to reveal the inside. :sadnew: I am still getting this.

Great review btw.

Greetings,

JD

My god, what is with this thread? Its like the come and express your anger thread.

Calm down people.

Good review tho

 I Know! I come back to this reveiw because I really like the set. But I dont get it with the others, They hate this set yet they always come back and say how much they hate it, Over and Over again.

Ya, I gotta admit it does look a bit stubby (thats what she said  ), but it problably wouldve costed more ($20 maybe?) if they extended it. Anyways I dont think most parrents would buy a $179.99 CAD set for their kid.

Great review!

Smaller than I expected, I guess this means more swooshing!!

The figs are superb, and the death star plans leads to ideas about a CW episode

The price I can see being brought down a little maybe $10 or $20 but oh well

Great review Bricks! When I saw this set at ToyFair I immediately fell in love. Then the pics and reviews came up and my love for it spiraled downhill. I probably won't get this(too inaccurate and stubby for my taste). If this somehow ends up on a Black Friday sale I'll get it for the Senate Commandos

Thanks for the excellent review.

I felt in love with the Venator when I saw it in Ep3 and when I heard about this set I told myself I got to get it. After seeing some of the pictures of this set and reading this review I lost some of my interest but was still siding towards wanting it. When I saw the NZ$300 (US$180) price tag on Shop@Home (plus shipping) I decided the set isn't good enough to justify that price. The set isn't perfect (I find it too stubby and not enough minifigures) but there will be a price point where its ok and NZ$300 ain't it. I bought one in the end when I found it on sale for NZ$210.

was really looking forward to this set because this is the best looking stardestroyer in my opninion! but hoped it was a bit bigger as the price is big too. I still like it but not as much as when I first heard of this release. I think it has the same lenght as the other lego stardestroyer. I will look for 1 to buy in the UK because the Pound is worth nothing now comparing it to the Euro. still need to find a shop with normal shippingcosts.

my conclusion: average set. nice figs. should be bigger to match the price-range.

rate: 6,5

Voted average.

I finished building mine yesterday and I have to agree its a bit small for what I expected. But its sturdy enough to swoosh around the room (not like the minifigure-scale Tantive IV in the other topic  ) or the ISD.

In my opinion Palpatines office (and dont get me wrong I like the desk) is a bit out of place in this set,

the room doesnt even have an entrance.

Thanks for the review Bricks.
