Every single car that I've owned is no longer sold in Canada.

1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

1995 Pontiac Grand Prix

2003 Pontiac Grand Prix

1996 Pontiac Grand Prix (this was technically a parts car that I drove for less than 1km)

1992 Pontiac Grand Prix

2006 Hyundai Azera

Right now if you take a look at the cars in the driveway and garage and rank them in order of what car looks fastest to slowest, then drive them all. You'll find that the fastest car looks the slowest (least sporty), and the slowest car looks to be the most speedy.

2015 B5 blue Challenger Scat Pack, 6 speed.........................

I painted one of my goalie helmets this colour, with black metallic fad in around the face . . . . looks epic. You should consider heading to Moparfest, I'm not even a Chrysler fan and I really enjoy myself there!!

Dude, I not kidding, I might just melt my credit and go down to the nearest dealership and buy one. I have a real feeling this is the second "Golden Age" of the Challenger, one last B5 retro Hemi explosion before they head the way of the Mustang and start looking futuristic again.

Made some custom badges for Decepticon galaxy yesterday

They still look a bit dodgy up close and I need to make some more refined ones, but this for sure is going to make people look twice. I wanted to create something that looked like a decepticon logo, but wasn't as complicated as it.

I love these!

This is my baby, if you look st the rear window close you will see a decepticon logo.

My car is having some massive grounding issues. I was hoping to take it on a trip this weekend, but it keeps powering down completely when I'm turning the key. Getting a new negative cable and seeing if that will help. It was working fine until I swapped batteries (that was the first cause of issues), while putting the airbox back in (yes you have to do this to change the battery) the friction on the ground portion of the battery cable caused some havoc.

Replaced worn struts. It was pretty easy except for the tie-rods. How do I dispose of the old struts?

*SNIP*

If they are mechanically still in working order you could probably sell them to someone who wants to rebuild them, if not then a trip to a scrapyard or junkyard will be in your future (might get a few bucks there too though not likely much) oh I guess you could just leave em road side with a Free sign.

Back in June we tried to set a world record for:

MOST RED PONTIAC GRAND PRIX's PARKED IN FIRE ZONE

So . . . .fast forward to today and I've contacted Guinness to try and see if we can get into their record book and I've talked to like six people from there, and they all seem to be hell-bent on giving me parking advice. I didn't ask for that. I want to know if we have a world record!!

Hopefully when you pick up your edition of the 2017 World Records my car is in it!!

What is the current world record?

I have no idea. They keep on telling me stuff about not wanting to encourage people parking in fire lanes, etc. They aren't very helpful.

Posted

Maybe they don't want to be associated with records that are part of an illegal act or life endangering.

I'd believe this, but they keep on putting pictures of people swallowing swords in their issues.

I guess breaking the law would be seen as different, like celebrating most bank robberies, etc.

Maybe swallowing swords, you're endangering yourself. Blocking fire lanes is endangering others should an incident happen in the area and first responders access is impeded. Although city parking enforcement may like that since it is a $250 ticket in Toronto.

They shouldn't be! It's you who has to set the record, not them, after all! So don't expect any help from them. They're too busy fueling up on their sponsor's liquid anyway.

by the way: do cars break down that often over there, that some 4-5 are having trouvble right at the moment you're taking that picture? With their hoods up and all...

I hope you are just joking around but if not, its common practice over here to show off the engine at car gatherings (I assumed this was a world wide thing) but then again those are all Pontiacs they could all be broke down

Do people still know how to open their hoods? I see broken down cars on my commute and no one really opened their hoods.

Lol! Actually, the 3.8 motors were really good motors, as were the LS V8s in the GTO and G8. But yeah, if you had anything else under the hood, there was probably good reason to have the hood open.

Honestly, it seems that GM only makes good pushrod engines (2.8 V6 being the exception--horrible motor). Just about all the overhead cam motors are rubbish.

The meet was a 3800/W-body meet.

My car at the front of the line has a 3100 V6, I have a different coloured car the same as the others in the pic, with the 3800.

I also have a 1992 Grand Prix GTP that has the 3.4 Dual Twin Cam (DOHC).

I'd guestimate that GM only made 20,000 - 25,000 of those engines which by any standards is incredibly low over the years of 1991-1996. I've read up that supposedly they were originally designed for 300HP to the wheels, but the transmission guys came back and said that @ 7500 RPM with that much power, they'd trash every single automatic transmission that GM produced. They're exciting to drive, but unfortunately have a timing belt, and very little room to work with the alternator mounted on the bottom of the engine.

This meet that I was at in June featured about 50 5.3L small block V8's in the form of Monte Carlo SS' and Grand Prix GXP's.

Yep, joking offcourse, but yeah, it's also not that common over here. Somehow the noise has to come from the built-in stereo's rather than the engines. All show but no go. Maybe it's the weather...

In the UK it's quite common for car dealers to display the cars on sale with the booth open. Never understood that either.

Talking about engines: I've got a mighty 3 cilinder 1 litre turbo under the bonnet. Might not seem much, but it's quite economical and most of the aforementioned all-show-no-go guys (and gals) stand little chance if they want to "race" me.

*FACEPALM*

My car was experiencing some electrical issues, so I went out to have a look. The Aux post is broken off completely, to be honest, I have no idea how it got home on Friday.
