5150 Lego Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Did someone say Dodge Challenger?.... 09' DodgeChallenger built for drifting. Incredible work of craftsmen ship! Quote
Thee Pirate Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 A 1940 Ford Coupe, original suspension, no stereo, a/c or creature comforts, I'll take mine with an Olds Rocket 303 sitting in the engine bay. I don't need any of that computer controlled, leather, shiny rims megablocks. Quote
Joey Lock Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I dont know wheter there is a topic of this before. I searched but couldnt find any. Er...Well...Show your Car! And Discuss body work, Paint, Repair, Insurance all that stuff if you want. I for one am hoping to get a Chrysler 300c and put Lambo (Vertical) doors on it and mabye some Suicide doors (Reverse doors) on the back row. I here Suicide Doors cost alot to do. But there is a Body shop near me that should be able to do it. Called Surrey Sports & Classics. For now I am going to either buy a cheap car or use the Vintage Triumph TR-4A my dad drove whilst he was younger: Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 At what age are you allowed to drive in th UK Joey? Quote
Natman8000 Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Youre 14 and you can drive? Thats not very believable. Quote
rriggs Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) Youre 14 and you can drive? Thats not very believable. He never said he could drive! He's just talking about what he wants to drive... You can drive at 17 in the UK. I've been driving for 18 years and have had 29 cars in that time (I get bored easy ). Currently I have one of these: Next car's going to be Freelander 2 but I'm waiting to find the right price and spec... I've had a Jag, a Jeep, a Merc and a few BMWs in the past. Shortest time I have owned a car for is two weeks(!). Currently I pay £200 for insurance which is nice and cheap although I once paid £1200. That was for a Ford Escort XR3i when I was 19. Cracking car! Most I have paid for a service was £1100 for the 60K mile service on my Jag (It was a proper XJ Sovereign and not a baby Jag). Rest of my car costs have been quite minor and the only one that I really despise is Road Fund Licence. Why can't they just add another half penny to every litre of fuel and then scrap it? No big accidents and lots of dull and worthy cars and that's about it. Cheers Rog Edited February 8, 2009 by rriggs Quote

But I counted that by the time Im 21 which is in 7 Years time Ill proberbly change my mind on the Chrysler... I hope not though. I dont like the new Chrysler Imperial concept car that much, Although it does look extremely sophisticated. Looks like a copy of the Rolls Royce Phantom: I like how it has built in Suicide doors. Oh and Natman....How did you even know my age? Edited February 8, 2009 by Joey Lock Quote
Matn Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) What a fancy cars. A Chrysler to start driving with? Suicide doors... ? If I'm 17 I have this in mind: And then later a newer model. But that would be a great starter, I think. Edited February 8, 2009 by Matn Quote

Quite frankly, I don't see any hint of the fact that you're too young to drive in that statement or, in fact, your whole post. I would like a Smart ForTwo, if possible. It's all I need really, small Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I'll buy you one for your birthday (Happy birthday BTW, didn't get a chance to write in the thread)! The car I hope to drive is a Mitsubishi Lancer: I have a feeling that this thread is going to turn out an awful lot like the dream cars thread (which I couldn't find ) -Ricecracker Quote

Ricecracker Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Yay! Thanks so much, you're the best! That's a nice car, btw On second thought, is it ok if I build you a LEGO SmartForTwo? Quote
CP5670 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I have one of these: Nothing special, but it does what I need it to do. I like the height of minivans/SUVs over a normal car, the fuel economy is reasonable enough, and I can load tons of Lego into it for display shows and other events. Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 This was what I drove around as my first car. It felt like a tank on the road. That is not the exact one but close enough. Mine had a white roof. (it is a HJ holden wagon red block, flat six cylinder.) Now I drive one of these... Maxda 626. http://www.dragtimes.com/images/8316-1988-Mazda-626.jpg big picture... so just follow the link Quote

5150 Lego Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 My ride. This is really my ride, not a random pic i found. Its an 07' Toyota FJ Cruiser. engine- 4.0 liter V6. 239hp and 260ftpds of torque Drivetrain- 5 speed automatic with part time 4wheel drive with low range, A-Trac 4wheel drive traction aid with electronic locking rear differential Modifcations- revtek 3' supention lift, devino 17x9' wheels with 33' mud terrain tires. TRD cold air intake, piaa foglights, KC flood lights, northern tool alley and rear flood lights mounted to roof rack. All wiring for roof rack mounted lights hidden inside roof rack tubes. GPS Navagation, laptop computer mount (for my work), extra 12v power points, CB radio, predator side steps, high lift jack, axe and shovel mount. As you can see, i love to go off roading. This is my first 4x4 and i have to say i don't think i will go without having a truck or SUV in my stable. The versatility and ability to go nearly anywhere is great. Quote
DB24 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 My car: its the first car i've ever owned! (i'm 20) 1991 BMW 318i manual, pretty much stock inside. its a good car, drives pretty well i like to think Quote

Eilif Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 For me a car is really just a means of transportation. But my dream ride right now would be a Honda Civic Hybrid Hatchback. They only come in sedan, but you said "dreamride" If I had to pick a production model car, I'd settle for a Prius. -Big enough to sit me comfortably -Great mileage, especially in the city -Just big enough for an 8x10 (eight ten inch speakers) bass cabinet, amplifer and two electric basses!
