The figure emerged from the shadows. It was an alien.

"Oh great." said Jack "Now we have to fight these buggers too."

"Why are you here?!" questioned Bob

"To stop you from destroying my robots." it said

"What robots?"

"The ones you encountered in the city centre."

"Wait...those new robots are yours?"

"Yes. Just a test really, which went wrong. Feelings where a terrible side effect."

"So you just recycled us?" fumed Jack "You have no idea what your race has coming you little sh--"

"Jack! Stop! Bob, put those pieces together." Zach said.

"Ah. Don't you remember me, Zach?"

They all stopped and looked at it. Zach's eyes widened.

"You wiped my memory? You did something to me. Tell me what!"

"I will let you figure that out for yourself." he said laughing. At that moment he pulled out a device and pressed some buttons. The wall opened, and it reveled a large spherical crystal, rotating on its axis.

"Uh oh, that is not good at all." shouted Garviel above the noises coming from the machine. Suddenly, first gen. robots entered the room through the other elevator and starting shooting.

One killed the alien scientist.

"Bob! Do it!" cried Zach

Bob reached out to place his device with the other components. It flew out of his hand into its place in the device, and there was a huge bang.

The sensor exploded, sending everyone flying backwards.

The robots deactivated and fell to the floor, leaving the other sphere device rotating.

More robots came inside the room, but they were second generation. They were crumpled and crawling all fours, screaming.

Zach was screaming too. Jack noticed him on the floor with his skin on his right arm totally gone. He got up and rushed over to him. Jack gasped when he saw the metal arm which remained, and cuts on Zach's face revealed circuitry underneath. Jack stepped back, and stared.

“Help me!” Zach screamed

Apocalypse- Chapter 2

“What happened to Zach?” asked John running over to them.

“No idea! I just found him like this! We must help hi--”

“Gah!”

“Urg!”

Adam and Robert fell to the floor, smoking.

“What?! Them too! This all must be linked in some way!” Jack stopped talking as he heard a murmur from Zach.

“The core…get some…and give it to us…”

“What core?” asked Bob, confused

“I think he means that thing.” said Garviel, pointing at the sphere

“We have no time to lose! They will die!”

“Hurry, bypass the codes Jack!” shouted CC.

Jack rushed to the control panels and transformed his arm into a key mechanism, slotting it into the card reader.

“Accessing……Done!”

The shield protecting the sphere shut down, and Jack and Garviel cautiously walked in. watched anxiously while Bob and CC treated Adam, Robert and Zach. Garviel put his hand forward, and yelped, withdrawing his hand.

“Are you okay?”

“Gah! Just a burn…We won’t be able to get it Jack…”

“Oh, I think we will.” he said, thrusting his arm toward the core. He grasped some and ripped it out, just before his arm melted. He dashed to Zach and placed it on his chest. Zach screamed and suddenly healed. He sat upright, looking rather hyper.

“What just happened?” asked Jack

“I’ll explain later! It all came back to me! We must save the others!” Jack repeated the process with Adam and Robert. It had the same effect.

“I feel…great!” said Adam, leaping 10 foot in the air. Everyone gaped. Zach and Robert tried it too, both jumping high in the air.

“Damn I wish I could do that.” Remarked CC. The three stopped trying out their abilities.

“What’s up? Running out of charge?”

“Precisely.” Said Zach. “I was doing a mission with Robert and Adam when we worked together in the army. The robots were supposed to help us, but instead they took us. When we were taken by the robots to their lab, the nuclear warheads were fired. They did tests on us, enhancing our capabilities. Then came the aliens, turning the robots into scrap. They turned us into what you see now.”

“But why do they not have flashbacks?” asked CC pointing at Adam and Robert.

“Because the aliens gave them new memories, but they failed to activate them in my brain. I was Project 1, the first second generation robot. The aliens continued this on other people too, after the nukes were finished. But the side effect was bad, and the robots rebelled, confused, killing everything except other robots. Only when they are deactivating do they remember what happened, and they die because of that realization. Everything came back to me, and I remember what I saw on the aliens computers. All Second Gen. Robots need charging. These should last around a week, but we need to destroy this core, so the other robots die.” He said, pointing at the two badly damaged droids by the second elevator. CC walked cautiously over to them.

“But they are…us.” He said, sad that he would be killing his own kind

“I know, but they only remember that now, at the end of their life. Garviel, John, see to the core.”

Garviel lay down some detonators and John punched in the code to make them explode. They rushed to the elevator and John pressed detonate. The doors closed just in time.

“You know we will have to get to the next city, and core, in the next week, otherwise we are finished.”

“We know.” Bob said, “And we are ready.”

“Well, it would have been better if my heli wasn’t shot down.” Said John

“Shaddap.”

“Those robots won’t stop attacking us, they need to protect their other cores so they can recharge. We are their only real threat.” said Bob

“And the rouges.” added CC.

“What are they anyway?” asked Robert. As CC discussed the details, Jack slipped some core into his pocket.

[Zapper Brick]

Suddenly, an explosion rang out in the large room. A Naval officer stepped in wit his guns primed on Zach. "Robot scum!!!" The Navy Officer said. "You've destroyed everything I have, Robot.....Disguising yourself, huh? Too chicken to fight or something?" He said, cocking the hammer on his gun. But then he blacked out, with a confident looking CC behind him. "What do we do with him?" said Bob, "He's obviously insane." Bob continued. "I don't know...." said Zach. "Check him, see if he's a robot, or oe of those rouge things." CC walked over and proceded to scan him. "Nothing, he's human." said CC, "And from the looks of it, he's a captain." "Or was." Zach replied. The Navy man was starting to stir. Adam immediatly drew his gun. "Who are you?" Adam demmanded. "I'm.....Captain Sam McBricks.... who are you?" said the dazed man. "I'm Zach, this is Adam, over here Bob and CC." Zach replied. "Wait..... ROBOT SCUM!" Sam yelled. "Calm and cool off." Adam said, still pointing his gun at Sam's head. "He's on our side, he's a safe 'bot." said Bob. At this Sam started to cool off a little. "Sorry, I've been fighting so long, driven by anger...." Sam said, still slightly dazed. "And the rouges....and the phantoms...." Sam said. "Wait, PHANTOMS?" said Zach. "Yes, Phantoms.... geneticaly altered rouges" replied Sam. "I was the captain of the SS Republic..." Sam said. "Until the nuclear holocaust...." He continued. "I'll do anything to kill those robot scum now...." "ZACH, GEN 2's BEHIND YOU!" Yelled CC. They all turned to fire their guns at the approaching Robots.....

[Eskallon]

The Robots stood absolutely still and they inspected these lifeless robots

Zach questioned "As we shut down the robots upstairs, are all robots in this city shut down"

Bob replied" Well we will have to find out, lets go down this elevator for a start"

They all piled in unaware of the fact that the next city was a long way away.

"Here we are, at the bottom of the building'' said CC

Sam said " Wait if we go out there we will be vulnerable to any attacks possible, lets go down"

"Why did you do that, now we are on floor-5" said Adam

Sam said" Because smart kid I came down here earlier and this tunnel in front of us leads to the outskirts of this city, plus there are working carts shifting us their when we want, on top of this no one will know seen as there is no sound coming from the carts, only the old fashioned trains are noisy"

"Fine I am sorry" replied Adam

They all piled in a cart and got on the tracks leading them straight outside of the city.

[Zapper Brick]

"Ok, we're out of this city!" said Marcus "Now what do we do?" asked Adam "Well, Smart Kid, we kill Rogues. Duh." Replied Sam in a sarcastic way. "ROGUES! ON THE HORIZON!" Yelled CC, pointing at the shapes in the distance. "Then we better get moving." said Zach "Ummm.... guys...." said CC "What?" said Jack "Look." CC snapped They turned around, finding themselves face to face with some strange looking Rogues. "Phantoms..." Sam grunted. They were trapped. "Alright, lets give these guys a FIGHT!" Said Jack, extending his arm cannon. "That won't do much good..." said Sam, looking at Jack's cannon. "They can shift their molecues to anywhere in their vision. They can "teleport" in a way" said Sam "But they have a weakness..." He continued. "Follow my lead.... when I say now, shoot" said Sam. "Alright, NOW!!!!!!!" Jack shot his arm cannon. "Run team!" said Sam The rest of the team began to retreat. Sam then pretended to be dead. The Phantoms ran after the large group instead of one worthless man." The Phantoms were about to teleport. They were starting to shift their molecues. Just then, Sam pulled out his gun and shot them, spraying them with bullets. They were all dead in seconds. "How..." said CC "Later!" said Sam, as the group of Phantoms on the horizon were moving in on the small pack......

[Eskallon]

As the phantoms got closer the team didn't know what to do.

"How the heck are we meant to kill all of these guys?" said Jack

"Well lets not just stand here and be slaughtered!!!" said Bob

"LISTEN UP EVERYONE!!!!!" shouted Zach furiously

"We need to move, and fast, there is no point standing here panicking....." shouted Zach

"HEY, Im not the expect on these Phantoms but I think there shifting instead of walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" cried Adam in a scared way

Within a few seconds the phantoms were right next to everyone, 50 or so stood there facing them.

[Zapper Brick]

"Ok..... this is bad." said Zach "Do you have an suggestions, Smart Man?" said Adam "Shut Up." replied Sam. "Ok, anyone have any grenades?" he continued "Yeah, one here." said CC "Good..." replied Sam "Wait for it.....Fool them when we get the chance!" he wispered under his breath "Make them start shifting..." The group charged at the front of the Phantom Blockade. The phantoms immediatly started shifting. "RUN!" yelled Sam. "CC, NOW!" CC hurled the grenade at the blockade of Phantoms. The explosion was deafening, they saw dead Phantom bodies all around. The survivors ran from the fight. They had won yet again. "I think I see a forrest over there." said Marcus "We can camp there." So the group began the long walk towards the dense forrest.

"You don't see many forests in a wasteland."

"Probably another alien experiment." said Zach

"What?! Aliens?!" cried Sam

"I will get you informed once we know you and we can trust you."

"Yeh, so don't start asking questions until we have asked you some first!"

"I told you about the phantoms."

"Whatever." said Jack "Why don't we team up with them? They put up a good fight."

[Zapper Brick]

"You can't team up with a Phantom" Sam replied "Their only goal is to kill." "If you surrender, they'd use you as an experiment." Sam continued "I had that happen once. The only other survivor from the Republic, the Phantoms took him away...." he said "I tried to chase them, but I found them....well, you don't wanna know." he said. "But we better get a move on it, it's almost night." Sam said. And with that the group continued toward the forrest, not knowing that someone was watching them......

"Yes, lets quicken the pace." said Marcus "What about teaming up with them rouges instead, eh?"

"I dunno.." said CC "They are not very trustworthy."

There was a pause and then Adam piped up and said

"It sure feels great that we have wiped out more than half of the robots. Just a shame these new phantom guys turned up."

"Next time, lets use our...'powers' to get them." said Zach, pushing a tree out of their way.

[Zapper Brick]

'Powers? Did I miss something?" said Sam "Oh, shut up." replied Adam. Quickening the pace, they are approaching the forrest. "ROGUES!" cried CC "At least they're not phantoms......" replied Zach. Their guns quickly disspatched of most of the rogues. The one remaining who had escaped in the fight, crept up behind Zach, and grabbed him. 'GAHHHHH....." said Zach. He slowly pulled out his gun, and shot the Rogue from behind. "We made it.... we're here, the forrest!" said Marcus. The group didn't see the pack of Phantoms hiding in the bushs, ready to leap on them in revenge for making them flee before.

[Eskallon]

The group settled down to try and get some sleep.

"Ok who wants to guard us all first" asked Marcus yawning while he said it

"I guess I can do the first two hours" replied Zach

"SNAP" went a twig somewhere nearby!!!

"Who's there!!" shouted Zach

He turned to see hooded Phantoms starting to beam away, everyone stood up prepared for what was next.

"I sense these phantoms want deep revenge, they act like this when they are angry" explained Sam

"Well then they must always be like this as they are always angry!!" replied Adam

"I know your saying that just to annoy me, but now isn't the right time" shouted Sam in a worried tone

"Ok well...Watch it Marcus!!!!!!!!!" screeched Adam

A phantom leaped on to Marcus but everyone fired their guns and the phantom was instantly dead.

"Thanks everyone" said Marcus gratefully

Suddenly all the rest of the phantoms showed themselves before jumping back and shifting their position. What they now did not know was that these Phantoms were all on the tree above the groups heads....

[Adam]

Guns fired, and the Phantoms were soon destroyed. With no immediate threat, the group was finally able to assess the newcomers.

"Do we have to get attacked every three seconds?" Bob muttered. Privately, most of the others agreed.

Adam turned to Sam. "Alright, 'Smart Man,' start talking." The Naval officer soon found a dozen guns pointing his way.

"I told you. The name's Sam McBricks, captain of the SS Republic. The war came, it blew up, and I found myself cramped thousands of leagues underwater in an escape pod."

Jack cleared his throat. "He's telling the truth."

Everyone lowered their weapons.

"Now will someone please tell me why we're traveling with a second generation robot?!" Sam asked angrily.

"Not a second gen," Zach said, "three second generation robots. Now -"

"- Is that supposed to make me feel any better? -"

"- Adam, Robert and I were captured by the robots..." And so he repeated what he had told the others back on the 300th floor.

Sam still looked confused and cautious. "So what are these Rogue things? Spies? Robots? Aliens - what's up with them, too?"

CC explained this time. "No one knows much about them. They're slightly deformed humans that travel in clans. We're right now heading off to find out more about them."

"That's about right," Bob nodded, "We're a tad clueless about aliens, too. We do know that they created the second generation robots."

He paused. "And us."

"So where are we going now?" Sam asked. "Where are the Rogues and aliens?"

"Full of questions, aren't you?" Oky shrugged. "We're sorta just... winging it," he grinned.

[Zapper Brick]

One of the phantoms wispered to the other "Report to Tribe Leader." he wispered. "Hey wait-" said Zach as he saw one of the Phantoms beam farther into the forrest. "What is it?" asked Sam "Nothing, I must be seeing things." Zach replied. "Go back to sleep." Zach continued. In the Tride Leader's underground Palace, the single Phantom has arrived with to report. "There is a group of Humans and three cyborgs that have interfeared." said the Phantom in a cold, monotone voice "Humans, you say?" said the Leader. "They will make good....Test Subjects." "And once we have discovered the best methods of inflicting massive death, we will kill them ALL!!" His eyes were barely visible through the hood, but they could be seen, and they were flaming red.

[Luke McAwesome]

A horn honking in the distance could be heard; a few seconds later, a car plowed through some trees, crawling with aliens. A young woman was drving, with cuts and bruises all over her face.

*SMASH!*

The car struck a tree, sending the aliens flying, and the airbags flew out. The engine was smoking, creating a blurry mess of the vehicle.

"Holy megablocks..." Zach said when the smoke cleared; he saw the jumbled mess, about five aliens lay dead on the ground, and a smashed up old "duck".

"Ummm... Who's that?" Mark asked, to no one in particular.

"Not sure," said Zach. He took a few steps forward only to see the woman out cold.

"Is she dead?" Mark asked Zach.

"Nope. Does anybody have a canteen or a water bottle?"

"I do!" Adam tossed Zach a bottle of water.

Zach popped off the cap and splashed it on the woman's face.

"Hey, jerk, what was that fo-" she began, but she noticed the small crowd of humans standing a few yards away.

"Hi!" Mark said, waving.

"Eh... Hello... Who are you people?"

"Survivors," Zach told her.

"And who are you?" Bob asked.

She had a small coughing fit before she answered.

"My name's Melody Striker, I was on my way to the next city when these guys jumped me," she said as she held up the limp arm of an alien in the passenger seat. "Fierce little things, aren't they..." she said as she picked up an alien pistol. One alien in the back seat stirred. "But not anymore," she shot the alien in the head.

Mark stirred uncomfortably.

"What? Never seen alien brains?" she asked as she reached in the head and pulled out a sticky, slimy, lump of what looked like intestines jumbled together.

Someone in the crowd gagged.

"This chick is crazy," Bob whispered to Adam.

"No doubt about it. Should we leave her here?"

"Can I come with you guys? My boat's just downhill from here, in the river. We can use it for transportation if you'd like," she said as she tossed the brain into some bushes.

[Zapper Brick]

"She's nuts...." Said Sam. "Who need's a boat?" "I have the pod hidden at shore, it's not to far. I'll take that, you guys ride with the insane Chick." "Alright lady, ever heard of rogues?" Said CC. "Rogues? No, but if you can take it's guts out, I love it already!" replied Melody. "So what happened to YOU?" asked Zach. "Whadda mean?" said Melody. "I mean what's your story, everyone else has one." "Oh...." said Melody. "I made it through, I wasn't in the house, I was at a friend's....' she said. "Sleepover?" Sam said, rolling his eyes. Melody contiued like she didn't hear him. "I had had an arguement with Father and Mother, I left for the day. The last thing I ever said to them was.....I hate you"

[Bob]

"Well, we could always use a good boat. How many people does it fit?" Bob asked

"I'd say it could fit all of us with a tight squeeze." Melody said.

"Alright then Melody, we'll head down to the river. After all, there aren't any aliens near the water, right?"

"And maybe we'll be able to get away from these phantoms..." Adam said.

[Luke McAwesome]

"It's going to be hard for us all to both get along and live with each other on long trips, but we're just going to have to deal with it."

The group had been walking for about twenty minutes; there was a clearing, with a river running out into a lake. The boat sat floating in the river, with crates and barrels stacked in various areas.

"Not bad," said Zach thoughtfully.

"It's not much, but it gets the job done. I've run into various surviviors in the past, but all of them died eventually. Whether it was in an ambush, or just disease. There was once a child aboard, with his mother... They both died after four days. An alien attack. They seem to like me for some reason. Especially playing around with their guns, trying to shoot me. I think it's a game to them, hunting humans."

"You're telling me that the aliens try to kill you by playing a game?" Adam asked.

"Yes," said Melody. "There was this one time where I-"

"Can we please get going before we get ambushed again?" Zach said.

"Yes, my bad. Sorry, I get distracted sometimes. It's just sort of amazing that there's this many survivors out there, still. Thanks for accepting me in your group," said Melody.

"We'll see whether it lasts," Bob whispered to Adam.

"I doubt she'll live more than two days with us. She won't be able to keep up," Adam whispered back.

Melody led Zach over towards a stack of crates and barrels.

"There's food in the crates, and fresh water in the barrels. Help yourself, guys," she told them all.

She began ranting how they should all sit down, and that they shouldn't eat all the food at once, and that it was all she had.

"Oh, woman, shut up..." Sam said under his breath.

Zach, Jack, and Bob started talking amongst themselves.

"Do you think we can trust her?" Bob asked Zach.

"Maybe. We'll see how things work out," said Zach.

"She seems to be nice enough. But, still, not sure if she can be fully trusted. Maybe we shouldn't tell her everything." Jack said gruffly.

"Let's see how she acts. Maybe she's really who she says she is."

Melody started up the boat.

"So, Mr. Smith, just which way should we go?"

"What's for breakfast, Mel?" Mark asked.

"How about, TOAST?!?!?"

"Toast! The king of breakfast foods!"

"Yep!"

"I dunno, like bagels better" Zach said.

"We don't care about your opinion. "

"Fine! Fine! Toast it is."

[Eskallon]

Hey I have not introduced myself in the game yet, so dont mention me, don't worry Im sure it was a mistake though. Also we need to get back to the forest as I need to introduce myself and I have pictures of a forest base MOC.

"Yay I love toast" said Adam enthusiastically

"Where exactly are you taking us" asked Sam

"Just down the river to a safer place" replied Melody

"How long will it take" asked Mark

"Around an hour in this boat" replied Melody

"Jack thats enough chocolate spread on your toast, save us some" shouted Bob

"Hey toast is the best and tastes good with or without that stuff, anyway that jar of nutella went bad in 2010, it's a vintage jar with mud in now" said Melody

Everyone exchanged glances and then Jack spoke up

"Who wants my toast" shouted Jack

Now they all went quiet

Then everyone just started talking...

"Well, she seems slightely crazy, but she looks good," said Zach nudging Jack with a grin on his face. Jack grinned too.

"Adam, Frone, how are you feeling?" asked Jack

"Fine. Just still a little hyper from that charge ou gave us."

"Yeh..." said Jack, thinking about the core he had put in his pocket, and how the second gens would be after them. But it was worth it if he could save Zach, Adam and Robert Frone, if anything happened.

"So," piped up Adam, "You are the first woman we have found. How have you been coping?"

"Alright actually." replied Melody, "Just trying to find out more about the aliens and these mysterioous phantoms. You know more than you are telling me, don't you?"

They were all silent.

"Look lady," said Sam "We need to be able to trust you first."

"I am helping you now! Is thast not enough?!" she said angrily, and stormed off into the bridge.

"Sam, next time, be a little nicer." said Marcus.

[Eskallon]

"Listen, we all need rest so lets sleep while we can" announced Zach

"Ok but we are not gonna all fit on this boat" said Melody still annoyed with Sam

"I will get off the boat" replied Zach "Sam you better come with me"

"I shall come too" said Bob, Marcus and John "that should be enough of us"

That Night

The Morning

"Ah good morning" said a man in an army suit

"Who are you and what am I doing here" said Bob

"Well I am Eskallon, I kidnapped you to see if you were a non-human" replied this so called Eskallon

"Are you a human" asked Bob

"Yes I am, and just so you know so are you" replied Eskallon

"My friends are gonna be worried sick" said Bob

"Show me to your friends" demanded Eskallon

"Get up Sam, Bob has vanished,everyone is going to look for him" shouted Zach

"Ok lets go" said Sam as he yawned

"I think this is some type of phantom palace" said Sam

"Hey look up its Bob and some weirdo" said Zach

They ran up two flights of stairs before reching the third floor.

"Bob are you ok!!" said Sam

"Im fine, Eskallon here kidnapped me, to find out if I was human" said Bob

"Eskallon meet Sam next to me and Zach behind you, he is our group leader" said Bob

"Hi, as you know Im Eskallon" said Eskallon

[Zapper Brick]

"Now tell me, where the heck are we?" Sam demanded "In my little.....Hideaway." Replied Eskallon. Back at the Phantom Palace, the Tribe Leader is inspecting the experiments. Many deformed Human bodies adorned the room. Here they could see Phantoms hitting humans with weapons such as spear, attempting to locate the vital organs that, when hit, would kill humans instantly. "We have found an area in the brain that is weak, instant death." Said one of the Phantoms to the Tribe Leader, holding up a brain with a spear in it. The Tribe Leader's eyes Flamed brighter than before, and his laugh echoed through the room.

[Eskallon]

"Lets get back to the others" said Zach

"Guys, I know everything about this land and travelling by boat will get you killed!" said Eskallon

"Start talking" replied Sam

"Okay if you travel a little further down the river, you go downhill and the space in between each side gets thin" said Eskallon

"How thin" asked Zach

"As thin as the bed you were just on Bob, the safest way is by walking through the forest mountain. Their is a major city in the center of the forest though" replied Eskallon

"It seems that is where we need to head too then" said Zach and Bob at the same time

"How come, it is filled with these new robots, it is one of their main building sites" asked Eskallon

"Ok we will tell you why when we meet up with everyone else, that is if you come with us" replied Zach

"Well I need to get out of this place, but their is another interesting fact of mine I need to reveal" said Eskallon

"Hurry up and spit it out" said Bob

"The city can be reached by going through an underground mine, four days if we walk through the mine" said Eskallon
