Nice comparison shot.

I like the small Venator as it is more detailed and I like the colour's.

The Star Destroyer has too plain a colour for me.

With all this going on, I'm going to get it and give it a makeover.

I have done something similar in the past.

Oh, given you're building abilities I will be looking forward to that. :classic:

Will it have PFs like you're beautyfull red truck?:wink:

Looking forward to building it. It hasnt got the rough edges the ISD has and it looks more solid, which adds to the swoosh factor. Be glad your counterpart is also a SW fan

I have to argue to keep some space for the collection,

not even talking about spending money on it

ahh, poor Future74.

No way you can sweeten the deal for your girlfriend a bit?

Gifts, additional household chores, Lego for her ?

I guess I'm lucky, since my girlfriends grandmother and her sister like Lego as well.

So, she is used to it a bit.

OMG! :oh: IT looks very small beside ISD.

Yes it does look small, but in real life it doesn't seem very small beside the ISD.

Personnally, I like what they did with the Venator given the scale and that it is not UCS.

It is after all still a play set like the ISD.

I guess, since the deal in Euros is quite okay I'm not feeling the expensive vibe.

So, I can agree to some extend to what AoNZ said about the Venator:

I just looked it up, and the Venator was actually 463 meters shorter.

ISD: 1600

V: 1137

So it seems pretty justified. (Sorry, just felt like sharing what I found out.)

But let's still be mad! GRRR!!!

Eh, LEGO doesn't care about scale in System sets...

Hi! Just got the ISD and it's a pretty sweet set. I'm looking for any alternative building instructions for this set (like http://bricknogblog.blogspot.com/search?q=6211). Any advice?

Thanks,

/Alexander

If you mean the alternate builds that LEGO provided for 6211, here's the thread that has them. But what does this have to do with 8039 in comparison to 6211?

Nothing. He's asking a separate question.

EDIT: Um, oops. I thought this was posted in General Questions.
