gusmoore17 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Harry Potter is as dark as Star Wars or Indiana Jones is, even Batman is a little bit darker!!....I still don't see the point in this... But with the anouncement of this game.... I CAN ONLY HOPE FOR HARRY POTTER SETS TO COME BACK!!!! cheers Quote
Andrex Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Ah that music is so nostalgic! I have to agree that there's not much Lego shown, but I'll reserve judgement since it's a while yet. So the first game is more light hearted, the second one darker it seems?! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for this information, Matn! Do you think that we'll therefore even get some Harry Potter sets next year or do you think that there'll be only that game but Harry Potter will not appear as a "new" theme? I personally don't hope so since I'd like to see at least one new own theme of TLG next year since there'll already be that Cars, Prince of Persia, Toy Story 1-3 and Ben 10 licenses . Orion123 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Don't attack me for reviving this but I think I know why they're only doing years 1-4! It's being released in 2010, and so is Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part One. So maybe Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is coming out along with Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part Two in 2011! What do you guys think? Kinda off-topic but THEY NEED TO MAKE ONE GIANT HOGWARTS SET WITH THE BATTLE OF THE END OF DEATHLY HALLOWS AFTER THE MOVIES ARE FINISHED! Just saying Orion Out :skull: Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 That one still baffles me. It doesn't make sense to sell a popular game which features your line of toys, and then make those toys unavailable. I don't understand that one at all. I wrote an article on my blog about this issue, as I was annoyed by that. My 5 year old has been playing the game, and love Lego Batman, but I can't find any sets anywhere for a realistic price, and I'm not paying $300 for the Batcave set.My Blog post about Batman here Yeah, this whole thing was simply mind boggling. After the sucess of the Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones games, surely Lego should have known the Batman game would give a surge in popularity to the Lego play sets.. and that's exactly what happened, but for some reason they discountinued the line just before the game was releasing, forcing people to pay hundreds for them.. it's just crazy. Lego have already said there's no plans to make more sets, so it just seems like it's all been very badly co-ordinated. Once the game is out, there's going to be a huge demand for the sets again, why they don't even just re-release the old ones is beyond me. But as for the actual game.. I can't say I'm too excited, I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan and although I'm sure it'll make a great game, who would buy it when we know there's going to be a years 5-7 and then a combined one shortly after? Just saying Orion Out :skull: I don't mean to be rude Orion, but I am sure most of have come to that conclusion already. They would like also do what they did with the Star Wars games; make one, then another, then a third combining the first two and making minor tweaks (e.g a few new characters, one or two more new missions etc) P.s - thank you Sologuy for the heads up about the release date! Matn Posted November 21, 2009 Author Posted November 21, 2009 Over at Flickr L.D.M. has noticed something strange at Target. LEGO Harry Potter: years 1-4 is already placed there for preordering! It makes me already contemplating if I should buy it for PC or Wii. Or don't buy it and wait for the "full adventure". But I now I couldn't do that. Perhaps the two parts for the Wii or PC and then the years combined for the other platform. Anyway, for the Harry Potter fans: notice that Harry is (finally) wearing a cloak, unlike the last sets we received and that the wand isn't just a bar piece, but it goes thinner at the top. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Nice to see it, but in why in march and not january? Quote
Big Cam Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I can't believe I missed this thread, this is great news. The Indie 2 game is a joke, just a way to make more money, this should be fun! Quote

Luke McAwesome Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 :nervios: :whats weird: . I don't think I quite understand what you're doing here... But these games should be fun. I loved the Harry Potter theme; it's too bad they stopped distributing it. But I guess all good things must come to an end, huh? Even if there is only a little bit of LEGO, I think it's alright. But I probably won't be getting the game anyway, so I'm one to talk. Quote

I love the fact of a lego HP game!!!!! Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Seems to me that TT is makiing less and less of an effort to make a good game... There's hardly any Lego in the whole trailer. Only the minifigs. They could at least used the Envelope tile that exists. Or Something... Anything... It's what I disliked the most in Lego Indiana Jones but after the fantastic job they did on Lego Batman, I was hoping they wouldn't do it again... Still, I'll have to reserve judgement, I guess... Since we haven't seen anything of the gameplay... Usually plants and animals are brick-built but unless you have played it we will not know yet. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Is there anything new? Like new pictures or a gameplay video? I really want to see some more. Quote

ILikePi Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 (edited) NEW TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOMENES! BEST LEGO GAME TILL NOW! Thanks for the link! I agree that it looks like it's going to be the best LEGO video game so far! I love the LEGO style magic (like going through the wall to platform 9 3/4 and going into Diagon Alley). Here's a deeplink of the trailer: Lego Batman 2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPUThq3u9fU That is 100% fake. Usually the YouTubers who make videos with a blue background and white text are little kids.Anyways, I don't think that LEGO would continue the LEGO Batman video game series since they discontinued the theme already. Plus, if we would have heard of a new LEGO video game first before that user, since we are after all a LEGO fan site! Website opening in 17ish hours. Click here. I can't wait to see the teaser site! Sisco Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Looks absolutely brilliant! Definately will have to take back Lego Indy 2 for this. Quote
Matn Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Thanks for letting us know about this awesome trailer! Ah, man, the game looks even more awesome. I like it that they have made, unlike I thought at seeing the first trailer, many things in LEGO. Like the sink and toilets. I do have one thing to nitpick about... They've used the older looking figures for the trio, but it's only the first 4 years. I think they should have used the first heads, where they looked younger. Hermoine looked nicer, and Ron didn't look so... drunk. Quote
ILikePi Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) The website is up! If you go to the VIP area, enter the code spell 'ALOHOMORA' to see a video (about the game and how they make each character different), an upcoming blog, and download crests of your favorite house. They also have some different music playing all over the site, along with some downloadable wallpapers! Can't wait for the game to be released! I might just have to buy it this time instead of borrowing it from the library (unless actual sets come out). Edited December 9, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
Oky Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Thanks for the code, Pi. Man, this game looks awesome! It's #1 on my Most Anticipated Game list right now. Hermione flying a broomstick is hilarious. Seeing all these figs brings back good memories and I really, really hope they decide to release some new sets! Perhaps we should have a petition? Thanks for letting us know about this awesome trailer! Ah, man, the game looks even more awesome. I like it that they have made, unlike I thought at seeing the first trailer, many things in LEGO. But since they have different expressions in the game, it doesn't bother me that much. What made you think things wouldn't be made out of Lego? This is a Lego game after all. Quote
Matn Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Well, to be honest, I thought there wasn't going to be much LEGO bricks in it, seeing the first trailer. But I wouldn't have mind it. Those videos on the website make it look even more awesome. I think I'll maybe buy myself an Xbox 360 or a PS3 for this... It will look so beautiful on those consoles + online gameplay. Sure my laptop will probably handle it, and there's a Wii version. But it won't be as wicked I think. EDIT: looks like the person who explains the flying with a broomstick, so the people who make it, know pretty much about the series. Yay for that! Edited December 9, 2009 by Matn Quote
Eskallon Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 There is a small poster of the game in the sixth movie dvd boxset. If anyone wants a scan just say here. Quote
