You mean the part of the book where harry realizes he can talk with snakes? :look: I seriously doubt that. The cutscene that was just posted again for like the fifth time has been confirmed to be the first one, and that zoo scene takes place some time before that. There wouldn't be much you could do in such a level; that scene was just a small flashback in the book and is barely even worth a cutscene. If they would make levels out of such insignificant bits like that, this would be one heck of a long game. No, no, I'm 99% sure the first level is the Diagon Alley one.

Yeah, you are likely to be right, however that scene was in the PS/SS film too. Does anyone know if this will be like the other Lego games where you select a level off the home area or will it be a constant thing where you are always in hogwarts and just carrying on from last time. I hope that it is the latter of the two as then we would be able to just wander around hogwarts as we will and Im sure that was one of the things that was promised we could do.

I don't know.

:sceptic: I hope it is open enough that you could (rather than going through a door) just go outside and walk to Hagrids Hut. But if it has to be those doors again, they could use the Floo Network instead. :classic:

Is there still a minifig creator thing?

At least it brought some discussion back into this Discussion topic, hmm?

I guess so.

I read somewhere that this will be the first Lego game with no hub level and be more like an RPG. I think Hogwarts will even change according to what year you're currently playing. Can't be bothered to find the article now, though. Sorry.

If you watch a gameplay video(i don't know wich one), you see it starts at the pub to diagon alley, your playing as Hagrid, but you can also play as Harry, but he doesn't have any magical powers, but Hagrid does. You'll open the big wall to diagon alley. And then it all starts!

Haven't been on my computer for a while, sorry. I know that the characters from what we've seen have the old designs, but we haven't seen anything from 3-4 yet, where they change the most. Is the Dursley's house going to be an actual location in the game, or was it just made for cutscenes?

We will know it when the game is out i think.

Maybe it's just what happened with LIJ2, showing the old design in all the commercials and videos but changing it to new versions at the last minute(sword guy had hood changed to turban, and satellite was changed to Lego).

Oh yeah!* My first geuss was right!!

-Marauders map looks like Pac-man

-Timeturner is huge

-Lupin, Aunt Marge and glowing-head-Dementors look funky

-Count Dooku drives the Knight bus

-Warning: Cheesy Pun Alert!: Time to get Sirius, and Danger is around every turn and it shows the grim turning on the playground thingy

-The way wereLupin punches Sirius makes me lol

-If you listen carefully, you can hear something similar to walking into a LSW forcefield sound when Harry is defending Sirius

*Imagine this in Kool-aid man's voice

It better be good if they're delaying it to June... :hmpf_bad:

Pic thoughts:

-(1 and 2)More Mandrake roots, isn't there anything else?!

-(3)Please don't make this become another Crane Train level...

-(4 and 6)So they build themselves to change...

-(5)this is probably going to be done using the same type of movement as the force

-(7 and 8)I love these enviornments

-(9)H... Hogwarts? Harry? Hagrid?

-(10)I do not want to know what that mountain troll did in there.

Well, first it was to come out in January, then in march, then in may, and now in june(29th i've read somewhere), so after all those delays, i can wait two more months, and we have also holiday, so i'll be able to play it 24 hour non-stop :cry_happy: . But if it's gonna come out in may, i can't play it non-stop because i have exams.

I doubt it. That there is just a wish list, and I'm sure it'll stay that way. The games listed are practically already produced, so it would be hard adding that 3D feature now, and I don't think that technology is developed enough yet anyway.

I know it's just a wish list, but what could they be making these delays for? Do they enjoy watching us screaming in pain? When's some footage coming of the level creator? Is it going to be in it's own commercial? Does Mace Windu wear underpants? Find out the answers to these questions and more, same magic-time, same magic-channel.

It's an okay video, it gives us some new gameplay though. :classic: (the wall with four pictures seems like a shrunken IJ puzzle :P)

(at first I thought it was going to be that Behind the scenes video again, which in my opinion is getting pretty old)

-The incomplete scene with the trio and Scabbers shows that instead of Hermione throwing some weird rock thing at their past selves, it's a pumpkin.

-Nice to see some puzzles that are actually in the hub that aren't too hard, like the bridge

-When Harry is running, you can see power-up sparkles behind him. Wait, that's impossible! the past 3 games didn't have any and the first 2 didn't either... They are helpful in the beginning, but once you get all the extras they can get annoying. There should be an option to turn them off later, though. That, or it's just some magical farty stuff.

-It's the great scarecrow-pumpkin Charlie Brown!

-Those giant swinging clocks make Hogwarts look like some sort of evil living clocktower.

-These are probaby going to become a behind-the-scenes series that TT can glue together to put in the cutscene menu. :P

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1 - 4 Collector's Edition revealed, includes 'exclusive' Deathly Hallows sneak peek and more We've all been very excited for the release of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1 - 4. But wait, what's this? It looks like a Collector's Edition of the game will also be released and include some cool features:

The LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 Collector's Edition for PS3 or Wii includes the game, a peek behind the scenes of LEGO Harry Potter, fun on the set of Harry Potter, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and an exclusive set of 4 House Crest LEGO magnets. Pre-order the Xbox 360 version, and you'll get all of this, plus a download code for an exclusive Xbox LIVE LEGO Harry Potter Avatar Item. Supplies are limited. Pre-order yours now.

According to listings on GameStop, the Collector's Edition will retail for $69.99 and will be released on June 29th (the rumored release date of the regular edition which we first reported several weeks ago).

This is the best pic I could find:

Looks and sounds pretty neat, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $20 for me.

Yeah, but then again, these magnets will probably be worth much more than what you're paying extra in the future.

I'm very curious if they are duplo or system...

With every new vid, I'm getting more and more excited for this game. I can barely take it anymore!

Accio LHP! :sing:
