not-in-use-anymore Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) Has anyone been on "www.MagicIsBuilding.com" yet? I haven't because it still is loading when all the bricks are done falling and it says "loading-100%". I have and it has more content than before. But it loading is very slow and sometimes it doesn't even load. Edit: does anyone else see the new faces in the Game Info section? And that horse skull Mad-Eye hits looks alot like R2-D2 for some reason... My thoughts on the new images: -Forest 1: There appears to be Ron swimming in reflective water(we can't tell if he has pants from this view ), a nest of some sort, the wood from the Burrow, and if you look closely there's a flying peice of chicken. -Hogwarts staircase 1: The Batman glass is being used, and I love Ron's expression. -Forest 2: I can't tell what that table is, but I'm sure Neville didn't go into the forest in the first 4 movies. There's the chicken again, it's just like playing Where's Waldo! -Hogwarts staircase 2: Hermione's face looks odd, and I hope Harry isn't getting into gangs... -Snape's classroom 1: This reminds me of the room in LSW where you had to mix primary colors to make secondary colors. -Forest 3: That purple based tree looks out of place, but there is the chicken agai-now I get it! You use the chicken to make Buckbeak follow you. -Forest 4: Why is everything in the forest at night? -Train station 1: If I was drinking something, I would have spat it back out when I saw Harry's pose. -Knockturn Alley 1: If only we knew which way the banana was going, we could have found out the secret of why chicken is in water. -Forest 5: Harry's scar makes his eyebrows look crooked. What's up with all the chicken? Isn't the code supposed to be Lord VoldeRmort? And does the Spell Wheel have a strict limit of 8, or do you get to choose 8 to take around? Sisco Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 @ Riddler: The interview itself is in English with Danish subtitles . The rest is in Dutch, though. Great footage, I was beginning to think that this thread was going to die out Quote
???theriddler??? Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 If you go to information about the game, and some other thing i don't know what it is in English, it says there will be an online mode for the xbox and ps3. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 (edited) The list of achievements for the game can be found here. The PS3 trophies will be the same (though there'll be an extra for the platinum), but I don't know what will be bronze, silver or gold. -Forest 2: I can't tell what that table is, but I'm sure Neville didn't go into the forest in the first 4 movies. There's the chicken again, it's just like playing Where's Waldo! Neville never went in the films, but in the first book, Neville had detention in the forbidden forest, instead of Ron. Sisco Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Wow, thanks Flitwick! You were always my favorite teacher . This really reveals some things about the game. Gold Bricks? Cool! Students in Peril... Sounds like the Bounty Hunter Missions in LSWCS to me. You can play as Fang?! YES!!! You can scare people while playing as a ghost There are Animagi? That will be really terrific. Huh. You can play as Muggles? At Hogwarts? Wierd... "Ghost Studs". Sounds interesting, I really can't wait to see what those are! Thanks again, Flitwick! This game gets better and better!!! Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Wow, thanks Flitwick! You were always my favorite teacher .Thanks again, Flitwick! This game gets better and better!!! Two "thank you's", and following in my social experiment (though the idea is, you put it on another forum ). I feel like the professor has found himself a a teachers pet! Quote
???theriddler??? Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 The archievments are good. I like them, now we know some more stuff! Thanks! Quote
Whittleberry Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 @ Riddler: The interview itself is in English with Danish subtitles . The rest is in Dutch, though. Actually you're both wrong, it's German The guy didn't say much at the end that we don't know already though, basically: -Physics are improved, so when you kick objects then they move realistically -You can build with LEGO elements better (I think that's what he's saying anyway) -There's an impressive underwater level (I'm guessing this is the second challenge in book 4) -The story's been a bit compressed to fit in the game, but if you've read the books or seen the films you know where you are -Comes out June on all consoles/platforms Quote
Sisco Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Hmph. I really should have realized it was in German, seeing as I'm learning that language. Oops Quote
CMP Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Maybe I should start guessing which levels they are gonna make. I bet it's going to be 5 every book. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Maybe I should start guessing which levels they are gonna make. I bet it's going to be 5 every book. Hey that's a good idea! I think six levels each. Book 1: Level 1: Movie intro etc, and to diagon alley with Hagrid Level 2: Exploring Castle/ Quiditch lesson Level 3: Troll Encounter Level 4: Invisibility Cloak or something Level 5: Forbidden Forest Level 6: Final Challenge Book 2: Level 1: Escape with the car and at the home of the Weasly's Level 2: Go to school with the car Level 3: Dual club Level 4: Young Voldemort Level 5: Transforming/go to Slythiring Level 6: The Chamber of Secrets Book 3: Level 1: Encounter with the dementor Level 2: Go to school and stuff Level 3: Training to fight a dementor Level 4: Hogsmeade Level 5: Buckbeak/ escape with black Level 6: Final Encounter with the dementors Book 4: Level 1: Intro etc, Quiditch, deatheaters Level 2: Triwizard Tournament intro Level 3: First task Level 4: Christmas Level 5: Second Task Level 6: The Maze and Final Challenge This is all what i could think of. I know i'm like 30% right. But it was fun to do! Quote
Sisco Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Your list looks pretty good, Riddler! But I think that this game will not have the traditional Hub format, but more of a progressive story, like the regular HP games. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Your list looks pretty good, Riddler! But I think that this game will not have the traditional Hub format, but more of a progressive story, like the regular HP games. Thanks!!!! I think you will be at Hogwarts, a big castle. And there aren't any doors to go into the level's like Star Wars. Maby you can choose your level on the Maundres map(book/film 3). Or you can choose a level like in Indiana Jones 2, i think it would be like that, at lego indiana jones 2 it was also a very big place. Quote
Eskallon Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I also thought it was going to be a progressive story but there will be taks that you have to do all over the place to move on, so basically your list but you can also do whatever you want. Anyway good list and they will be the things you mainly do. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Book 1:Level 2: Exploring Castle(Isn't this what you do in Hogwarts? ) Book 3: Level 2: Go to school and stuff(See above comment) Level 3: Training to fight a dementor(Not much you can do...) Level 4: Hogsmeade Something's missing. Level 5: Buckbeak/ escape with black Again, something's missing. Level 6: Final Encounter with the dementors Book 4: Level 2: Triwizard Tournament intro Level 4: Christmas (What happened there again? I can't remember anything big enough to make a level into...) I imagine ghost studs to be studs that can only be collected by ghosts, but maybe they can be used to buy special things? And when are we getting any information about the builder? Quote
CF Mitch Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Wow, this video contains a lot of new footage. And very cool footage it is Thanks for the link ???theriddler???, I really enjoyed watching it Regards, CF W Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) One word: Awesome. Questions that need to be asked: What are those dots around the head images? Are the Santa hats an extra you can turn on and off? Who are the other builder characters? What are those blueish sparkles that follow Hermione sometimes? Images appear under the head images, could they be what spell you've chosen? Are characters collected/unlocked by finding 2x2 round tiles?(like when Harry finds "Girl") How can 2 or 3 Quidditch players make that giant stand part explode? Why does Olliver look like an old homeless guy? What's that plant Harry and Ron are ganging up on? Observations only a nerd like me would put in a list:( ) -Flitwick can be seen on the left of the area with the ghost. -Harry obviously doesn't care about his knees in the new set. -I don't remember HH being that close to the Quidditch field. -When villians aren't around, you get to fight forest creatures like Bambi -I hope that hostage circle at the top doesn't mean that it's timed, I hate timed levels(at least before I get all the extras). -There aren't any words to describe the builder. Unless it has movies seperated out so you can't have a gate in the same level as a tree. -The Fat Lady didn't use a golden cup in the movie. Edited June 2, 2010 by indianajones Quote
CMP Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Nice trailer, and I love the fact that you can even be Scabbers. I bet you can be owls too. Here are my guesses: Sorceror's Stone 1: Draco's Duel (Remembrall scene) 2: The Forbidden Forest 3: Troll Encounter 4: Challenges of the Stone (Fluffy, chess, Devil's Snare, etc.) 5: Quirrel Battle Chamber of Secrets 1: Escape form Privet Drive 2: The Whomping Willow 3: Dueling Club 4: Aragog 5: Basilisk Battle Prisoner of Azkaban 1: Dementor Duel 2: Hogsmeade 3: The Whomping Willow 4: The Shrieking Shack 5: The Time-Turner Goblet of Fire 1: The Quidditch World Cup 2: The First Task 3: The Second Task 4: The Final Task 5: Lord Voldemort's Return Quote

Matn Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 They should really get the demo channel back up on the Wii, now WITH demos of games you can buy in stores. Oh, well, I'm going to check out the pc demo and then later hope the Wii version gets equally good reviews as on the other gaming systems. Quote
