Zuntir Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) This is Geist (German for spirit/ghost), vehicle mainly used to cross swamps or deserts. Despite not being well armoured, it's bandit's favourite vehicle thanks to its huge speed. For the first time built in 1835, Geist is still one of the best LAVs today (1877 in my alternative history/universe ). Link to BrickShelf gallery. Edited June 3, 2009 by Zuntir Quote
Zepher Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Trust me, on this site it's hard to get noticed. I like it over-all! It's an interesting idea. Not sure if it would actually hold itself up, considering how small the propelors are, but it's still good! The sides are nicely done, I like the tube like structures and the gate like things, and the back is greebled fairly well! Maybe try to stop missing new and old gray and new and old brown, since it makes it look just a tiny bit oo usy! Over-all, I like it quite a bit actually! Good work! Quote
Shadows Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Punktastic! About all it needs is a hose or two, strategically placed to finish off the effect. Thanks for sharing it! Maybe try to stop missing new and old gray and new and old brown The Steampunks do that on purpose, it adds a touch of the "assembled from a wide variety of sources" look. It's one of the few times it doesn't bother me, since it fits the concept. Quote
KimT Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Great MOC. I'm a sucker for those Steampunk MOC's and this one is no exception Quote
Natman8000 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 This is a great example as to how I see steampunk. Sorry I didnt see this before, but the other themes is not exactly the most populated forum. Quote
Zuntir Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Thanks for positive comments. As ImperialShadows said, mixing colours was done on purpose, to also add a little bit of chaos . Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Very nice steampunk style, when I first saw it I thought it was a steam punk swamp boat! I see now that it's a flying vehicle. Quote
