June 25, 200915 yr Great update! I recognize the shape of a brig in it: There are some great details on the deck, barrels, crew... I'm still very curious how the stern will turn out, don't make them too boxy! They suppose to have a very smooth shape, although that's the most hard part to make. Keep this great project going!

I will work on the Stern when I have my Cabin ordered and installed. I have no earthly idea how the stern will look, its size, color, shape, ANYTHING. I'll just worry about it when it comes time to make it. After this ship I plan on making a small blue-coat ship. One for mainly harbor patrol. I know it seems... like treason, but I wanna make many ships of all factions, not just limit myself.
June 26, 200915 yr Author How should I make the stern? I need ideas. I'm completely blank on how I want to do it.

June 28, 200915 yr Do you think that you could make cabin windows on that zig-zaggy part of the wall? It would look much better.
June 28, 200915 yr That is defenitely possible. You need some tiles and 1x1 plates for it to make a diagonal window. I agree that would look much better. I post a picture later on to show you what I mean.

June 29, 200915 yr Here's an LDD creation that should show you how: Brickshelf LEGO factory, when public
June 29, 200915 yr You have some great ideas for your first ship. As I read through this I was wondering if you're going to use only retro redcoats or maybe new ones? Also is there going to be an upper deck or just the one like Brickbeard's Bounty? To address your problem with putting windows on the diagonal part this is what I do on my cabins. It is hard to see with this picture but if you need a better picture I will post it. That technique might be too complex for your first ship (it was too complex for mine) but your cabin is great as it is.

I see the method it was doe, and I think I may give it a try sometime, possibly later on today. I can manage it, I've been building legos for over ten years. Also, I'm not much of a fan of the new redocats, at all. I'm sticking with the retros. Maybe the new ons wil grow on me but as of now, I have abut 28-29 redcoats from classic pirates (most still in the mail). I may give the cabin a try on LDD, if Ido I'll post a pic.
