My niece's birthday is coming up, and what better way to introduce her to the joys of LEGO than to get her some? I'm looking for any girly set (no castle or dino) and it doesn't have to be too big. PM any you might have and maybe we can trade! (I'd rather trade, since my I'm currently strapped for cash  )

Nah - my daughter went straight to "regular" Lego at age 4.

That's impressive; my niece is turning 5 but we got some Duplo when she was 2 or 3 so that's what she is used to for now. She needs a little egging on but she does create stuff on her own when I help her the first time. She also likes trying to copy pictures but still has some trouble following Lego directions completely correctly which is why Duplo might be a better choice at this time.

Wuld you be interested in plain bulk Duplo bricks at all?

Are they still in the tub/box? I might be, PM me with specifics.

My Daughter Amelie (18 months) absolutely loves my Lego and plays with it all the time :hmpf: , she doesn't put it in her mouth *knocks on wood* and she calls it "click" and loves removing all the parts of the Figs and pulling all the "wowers" (flowers) off their stalks. I don't think we'll get her Duplo at all... She just loves real Lego too much. She has got Fisher Price 'Little People' for the bigger type of play.

Alright I appreciate all the little anecdotes you guys are sharing, but I'd like to try to keep it on-topic if I can. If worse comes to worse I may end up buying her a regular set that she can "share" with me...

I'll open this up to any Paradisa or Bellville set as well, seeing as how peer pressure is telling me to get her "regular" lego.
