Well, this forum has seemed rather dead lately, so I thought I'd post a few MOCs.

I was fond of the way that the Space Police stop-motion video portrayed a settlement, so I wanted to start something similar. It's not much yet, but I do think it'll expand. I give you Lunar Sector 5. You can see many different species, and in the background there is a billboard advertising the newest android laborer from Inferno Robotics & Cybernetics, Inc.

And he's not the only one to have left a tag:

The LEGO shop description of Kranxx called him the leader of a space biker gang. But, with the possible exception of Slizer, we haven't seen any other criminal who rides something resembling a bike. I give you therefore Sparxx, a member of Kranxx's gang (and a human!), and his hoverbike:

Finally, a recolor of an old set. I wanted to re-create the Space Patroller, but I don't have any of the cockpit pieces in trans-dark blue--only trans-neon orange and trans-neon green. I wanted to make the recolor fitting for a minifigure I had (thus ruling out Blacktron II or M-Tron), so I decided to make it a Unitron vessel. Granted, Unitron had trans-dark blue canopies, but I think the trans-neon green works well. Plus, that's not the only thing I've changed about my Unitron forces (or, rather, the Unitron Banking Company).

Very cool! You made custom stickers, eh? Interesting... I'm trying to make a custom alien of my self using some new alien parts, but I think you have the right idea. Just keep it human. I like the bike. How'd you make it? Some extra pics would be nice, if you could take 'em.

I'm trying to make a biker gang and small city too, and this is a real help.

Thanks for sharing with us!

For the custom stickers, I just wrote on the scraps of some SP sticker sheets--I figure it's a shame to waste sticker material, and there is often so much left over after you peel the official ones off.

And indeed, I did want to give humans at least SOME representation in this space biker gang. In the same way, most of my aliens are good, peaceful creatures.

I'll take more pics of the bike a little later today. Basically, I built it all around an R2-D2 body from the Bounty Hunter Pursuit set (that's how I was able to attach those steering vanes). It's not the easiest to explain, so, yeah, I'll take more pictures. Glad you like it!

OK, thanks. I just started construction on my city.

I agree this forum has seemed dead lately. :hmpf_bad: Great MOCs I like the small space city the graffitti is okay but I think that they should be bigger. :sceptic:

I couldn't make the graffiti any bigger--I was limited by the scraps of sticker material. Plus, they're just simple tags--and bigger than the tag on Kranxx's bike.

Sorry for the wait. Here are some more pictures.

And is it just me, or is this the perfect vehicle for Squidman?

When Ogel was piloting it, it never traveled like a real squid (head forwards with the tentacles behind, which looks really sleek), because he was seated facing the tentacles. But when Squidman is the pilot, this is no problem:

Ok, cool. You don't mind if I use the speeder for my city, do ya?

When I get Squidman I think I'll rebuild that set.

Go ahead--I'm honored that you think it's good enough to use.

In my opinion, it's think better than Kranxx's bike.

  • Author

Really? Wow, thanks. I still like Kranxx's bike better (the SNOT techniques and the staggered jumper plates for seats are pretty cool, especially for an official set), but I was still pretty pleased with how my bike turned out. Now I've got to figure out how to make a third bike that fits in with the first two, but is still different enough to not be just a repeat (Kranxx doesn't really look like a leader with only one guy to lead, after all).

Hm... may I suggest you make some bikes like yours, say, two more, and the original you put some kind of skull or something on? Then, you could have a couple grunts, Sparxx, and Kranxx.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough pieces to make more than one other bike of that same style.

I did, however, make a new building. I tried to greeble it as much as I could

Oh, cool. Can't wait to see it.

  • Author

All right, here's the next building. I'd really appreciate constructive criticism/tips on how to improve, if anyone has them. Otherwise I won't get much better.

Another possible configuration:

And a few more random ones.

Introducing Professor Napierkowski, key developer in android linguistics. Well, that's his brain, at least. The rest of him stopped working a long time ago.

Yeah, I know I messed this one up, but I was going off of memory.

Is the building really so good that nobody has any criticism?:wink:

Hey, really sorry I didn't reply, I kinda got swamped. Ok, bombed is better.

I love that new building, awesome! It looks like a power plant, am I correct?

Oh, I wasn't referring just to you--I simply found it interesting that nobody seemed to think that the new building was good enough or bad enough to merit a comment. When I posted pictures of my city in the Trains and Town forum, I got a good number of people telling me what wasn't so great about my work, which allowed me to make some vast improvements.

It certainly could be a power station. This one I built with form in mind, not function (unlike the first one).

No, I wasn't saying sorry about that, just that I hadn't been on in awhile.
