Millacol88 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 All is not well in the Castle theme. The conglomerate that is Star Wars is soaking up all the money of Lego-buyers the world over. Looking to dethrone SW as the predominant Lego theme, the trolls created a contraption based off the famous Y-wing starfighter, an iconic ship of the Star Wars theme. The trolls hope that when it gets sent into battle, it will not only match but outperform its counterpart. EDIT: Heres version 2: Overall View: Front View: Left Side: Right Side: Back View: Top View: Close-up of an engine: The Cockpit: Here I added a dual-barreled gun, I figured it needed some more firepower. The "Main Fuselage": Here you can see I added several pearl-silver "teeth" as well as crossbows. Storage compartment: I added room for storage of extra weapons and a shield. The Pilot: The Astromech: I hope you like it, and if you see anything you think I can improve or have a suggestion to make it better, please comment and share. WhiteFang Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 For a castle fan like myself, you sure put this entry into right perspective. It looks similar to the real Y-Wing fighter. Very nicely done! Quote
Derek Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Haha! That's cool, I love the cute little astromech! Nice work! Quote
SWMAN Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Very cool. You really stuck to the original Y-Wing design very well. Quote
ILikePi Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) Nice work, Millacol! It really looks like a Y-wing. The only thing I would recommend adding are greebles (maybe some 1 x 1 plates with clips to attach weapons like spears to) on the two brown plates in the middle. Edited June 7, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
simonjedi Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 The only thing I would recommend adding are greebles ( That's my only real criticism, it looks really good! Quote
Millacol88 Posted June 7, 2009 Author Posted June 7, 2009 Version 2 is up. Check the first post. I added a dual-barreled gun just in front of the astromech and behind the cockpit, a little greebling and some crossbows on the midsection, as well as a storage area. I also changed the colour of a couple of parts so they would fit better with the colour scheme of brown, dark brown, bley, and dark bley. Feedback is appreciated! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Good job, I love it! It's not all too humorous, but very evil looking, and yet very cool. Quote
Millacol88 Posted June 7, 2009 Author Posted June 7, 2009 Thanks, Legolas. I wasn't aiming for it to be humourous. Quote

Svelte Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Definitely more menacing in a dark brown scheme than in bright yellow and white! The little storage area is very neat too. Quote
