Tereglith Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 This is a great creation all alone, but I like the expanded version even better, with the Anglia and the spidery out house. All it needs is some of those pesky gnomes! Wonderful job. Quote
Ras 74 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Wow Matn! Sorry for missing this when you first posted this Even though I am not the biggest HP fan around, you must just love such a good creation as this. Fits very well now when we are getting new HP sets as well. However I as I remember the house, you have done a great job and resemblance to it. Even without any resemblance the house is a very good creation by it self. Quote
SuperChris Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 This is a great MOC. One of the best I have seen. I love the broomshed, great idea! What faces have you used for Fred & George? I can't see them in the latest picture? Quote
Big Cam Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I'm happy this got brought back up, I never saw it the first time, and it's great. The house is awesome, and great work on the extended part on the roof, it looks perfect! Quote
Legostein Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) Hello! I also admit having missed it when you originally posted it. The more happy I am that you give us an improved second chance to view it. It's a great diorama, and a proof of what great things fans like you can create besides the official sets. Now if you could give us these nice photos with the loveley green background from the original post, instead of the chair (although it looks comfortable ) that would be superb! Cheers, ~ Christopher Edited February 8, 2010 by Legostein Quote
Blackheart Brit Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 The Burrows look terrific. I love it, nicely done. Quote
flavio91 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 congratulations Matn if this MOC was a original HP set i would bought it certainly can't wait to see the "real" burrows set Quote
Alex the Great Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Very well done, I like the 'rickety' look of it. It's sort of how I picture the house, nice job! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Great work 'Matn' ! The Barrows looks fantastic as too the garage and the flying Ford ! I'm a conformist! 'Matn' ! Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) Really great design. It isn't completely accurate, but it does work nicely. Here's hoping the official version is half as good as this. Edit: Personally, I've only ever attempted to make two custom Lego sets (both HP themed). One was the fountain in the clock tower's courtyard, and the other is the entrance to the bridge on Hagrid's side. Both aren't too bad, but could use some improvment. The fountain looks small next to any of the minifigures, and the bridge entrance has a weird looking roof to it. Edited February 11, 2010 by Ravenxl7 Quote
