Sir Dillon Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Firstly, this Jennifer person was running from you in the council.Secondly, the Alex told me that there had been activity by the Town Hall, indicating that the mayor was up to something, and that a train might be stopping in. End when are we initiating the Crocodile plan? I don't know the rules on talking about what "Alex" told us, but we received the same message, and it says there is some talk that a train may be coming in, but it never says that was from me, or that it has anything to do with activity in the town hall.
Stash2Sixx Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Don't sweat it Mayor. This Pete Smith guy likes to say people said something, but then he can't prove it. Everyone has already come to realize he has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to other people. He said I stated I was on the town council. OK? But he couldn't prove (the post) where I stated anything like that. I just tune him out, which it looks like a few others are doing.
I Scream Clone Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Pulling the file labeled "X", Max discovers a record that has been carelessly misfiled, the only record filed under "X". It is the birth and death certificate of a woman by the name of Elizabeth Rose Thornton, born 1896, died 1979. Well thats a conundrum to be sure! Unfortunately, tracing the gun won't be so easy. This office is available to anyone who needs access for the files. We keep the door locked when the room is in use, but from what I saw, it doesn't look like it would have been too hard to break in to. I am also interested in checking if the gun has been fired recently, if that's possible. Well unless someone has a bullet wound or a GSR (Gun shot residue) tester, we have no way of knowing if this has been fired recently! Shall we move along to the farm to retrieve the fuel?
Alice Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 So, Ms. Thornton is dead and we were led here by someone else. Great! My mother always told me when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Jennifer keeps leaving msgs around town and we are finding them. I would like to look through all of those files and see if I recognize any other names. I have a suspician that someone on the train is from this town and was part of this plan to get us here. I would also like to speculate that it is someone on the staff because Willouby doesn't seem like a place that we would even come through since theres all this switching to be done to get out. Why wouldn't we have just stayed on the main track? Also, Mayor or any of the other town folks, do you remember Ms Thornton? Did she have any children? Please tell us any information. Mayor, I know you have been here since 1979 because that was when your car was registered. This has been something we have talked about throughout our stay and no one has come forward with any information about Elizabeth Rose Thornton. Who was currently using the office that we are exploring? It only remains locked when in use which means someone was using it.
WesternOutlaw Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 Can I read my own file? And maye Geroge's file? And finally the Mayor's file? Strangely, these records do not seem to be within the filing cabinet. I am also interested in checking if the gun has been fired recently, if that's possible. The gun appears to be a semi-automatic weapon. There is a clip within the handle that, once you empty, you discover an open shell - meaning, the gun has been fired once before.
Sir Dillon Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Are there files of living people, or only dead ones?
Alice Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I'd like to take a closer look at Elizabeth's death certificate to find cause of death.
Adam Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Strangely, these records do not seem to be within the filing cabinet. May I check the files under "J" and then proceed to the closest switch? I believe that would be either two or three, correct? Don't sweat it Mayor. Err... you told Howard you were a Town Council member. Doofus...
WesternOutlaw Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 Are there files of living people, or only dead ones? By most indication, just those who have died. I'd like to take a closer look at Elizabeth's death certificate to find cause of death. Death: Natural Causes May I check the files under "J" and then proceed to the closest switch? I believe that would be either two or three, correct? No names that look familar.
Shadows Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Well, this town is certainly looking more and more sinister. How interesting that she died in 1979, as I seem to recall that year being significant for some reason, it seems I heard it from the voice in the sky. So, are we splitting up again, half to the farm and half to the train shed, or the switches, or what? We need to get moving, I don't think sticking around this town much longer is a very good idea, though I do feel a bit safer now. *pats pocket with handgun*
WesternOutlaw Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 Well slap my @$$ and call me Ethel... Seems this town iz gett'n more-n-more mysterious by the minute. I'm not the sharp'st tool in the shed, but perhaps we should cast a vote to see where we should go next? VOTE in Chapter 9: What Will They Do Next?
