I think he also meant simply replacing some of the brighter colours like Gresh' Lime or Metus' Light Blue with Sand Green and Sand Blue to make their armour match the movie versions. A Metus, Berix or Kiina with Sand Blue would be total  .

Oh my, this is the best thing I've heard in a while. Why has it not been thought up before.

No one cares about the serials.

Bleh I want sale with more than $5 off. xP

Eurobricks reviews are way better imo. This is all a generality, but EB reviews tend to have better picture quality, more in-depth pictures, better descriptions of features, poll format rating, etc. Reviews on BZP are more one member rating the set with a couple pictures (don't forget the kids freaking out because they don't know what opinions are), than they are in depth reviews of the sets.

Not all reviews are like this, most notably yours DV, but a lot of them are missing at least a key point like photo quality descriptions of features etc. Although now that I think about it, Bionicle sets barely have features now.

larger photos in the review itself

Not really a good thing... >_>

I usually just don't look at the photos on BZP. By the time the review comes out I've seen so many images already, the thumbnails are good enough for me.

Thornatus is $60, I believe.

I believe that refers to the set list.

Correct.

I wonder why they don´t have that kind of announcement on BZP!

Oh...wait.

70 USD for Thornatus? Well, it´s a better bargain than 85 USD...I´m so sad little Czech Republic resident.

I love you eBay...

*checking price*

...curse you shipping costs!!!

So, I finally got around to making Mata Nui's Ignika movie accurate, and I like the result. I could post a picture if you guys are interested.

(It took forever to cut up, though. Dx)

The eyes in the set are different. Not the box art.

Is it just the eyes that are different in the set, or other things too? I'm not sure, since movie Fero looks like Atakus.

No way?! They upped that price range? This is madness!

Which reminds me. The Baranus. I just now realized its not a store exclusive. Which is very sad considering how bad it is. Up until now, I would look at Baranus and say, "Well that's garbage! But it's a store exclusive, so I guess that's why..." But now... Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying all store exclusives are bad (Nocturn), just most are. And that standard sets, at least in that price range, have no reason to fail like that.

And ShaddowCroc: You cut up his face? I'd love to see it!

What are you talking about? o_O

This.

Edit: Baranus is not a store exclusive?

The eye change is weird enough, because the new F&S isn't based on the movie, because in the movie the Rock Steeds have green eyes, which is more likey F&S V1. And if they changed Fero to Atakus in this set, I think that would be worth putting on the actual box art.

Baranus pretty much is a very limited store exclusive for me, as are all the other big sets. :cry_sad: I'll probably try and snag some cheap ones of Bricklink or wait till the ones that are sold in NZ come up for resale.

Edit: Baranus is not a store exclusive?

No. We have it in stock at Target, and I've seen it at TRU as well.

The Legends have arrived in Australia, except for the vehicles. And Mata Nui. And Eww (Vastus). So only Gelu, Stonius, Kiina, and Ackar. I picked up a Gelu for $20. He's so awesome looking, but you have to make him like DV did. So much better holding a sword in each hand.

On the topic of Gelu, how are you supposed to pronounce his name. Because I call him "Jel-loo," but the commercial says "Gay-loo." Not that it'll make a difference on what I call him anyways...

I nicknamed him 'Igloo' and 'Jello', but 'Gay-loo' seems to be the correct pronunciation.

And jeez man, $20?

The exhange rate is just like that over here.

video games cost around $100 new, for example.

They should only be $15 or so, with the exchange rate. But there's also shipping. So it ends up being about 1.5 times the American price.

Has someone made an Ackar review here? I find that reviews are generally better here than on BZP.

Hey, they're $25 NZD here, which is like 1.75 time USD. :hmpf_bad:

I pronounce Gelu as Geh-loo. Gay-loo is like Lay-wuh, which I never agreed with, because the 2001 names were based on Polynesian words, so they could at least give the credit of pronouncing them like Polynesian words.

Gay-Loo makes me thing homosexual toilet.

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Same, I remember when I got the first "Official Guide to Bionicle" with the Nuva, and it said "Lay-wuh".

Always called him "Leh-wah", and still do.

I'm to sure about Gelu, I keep switching from "Jel-oo" to "Geh-loo" >.>

[-TA-]

I always pronounce Bionicle E's as AY's, whether they're supposed to be or no. But I used to say "Lew-wa" instead of Lay-wa. =P

~Bunda

I call Gelu "Geh-loo" and I called Lewa "Lee-wuh". I don't like saying them with "Ay" sounds because it just sounds weird to me. :/
