Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 All of the residents of Iconox originally lived up north, pre-Shattering. Just got this from Greg to further the claim that Metus is the traitor. Oh and uhh Titan Mata Nui sucks. Not completely, but for the most part. I mean, I already have Takanuva. Didn't you read the other message? Greg doesn't even have any idea about the extended ending. That officially confirms that Metus is not the traitor, and the ending is probably a parody. Quote
VBBN Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 No, seriously. That review completely changed my mind! Chnaged my mind from "okay set, cool parts," to, "horrid color scheme, rehash, eyesore." :[ I'll give my full comments in the morning though. Gold mask is coolio from what I can see. Quote
S-N Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Just got back from B&N. They had RoV there, and I bought it. It includes character bios(winter and summer) and also the first chapter of The Legend Reborn Novelization. Quote
Neaku Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 What I don't understand is how some think it looks better in those pictures than the magazine ones. It looks the same, if not worse. O_o Quote
Bfahome Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 How many ball joints do you guys count? Same as Takanuva? I counted 8. Dunno how many Taka had. Quote
Lepaka Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 The review does Mata Nui good. He looks really awesome in the pictures, and even more so on his box. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Didn't you read the other message? Greg doesn't even have any idea about the extended ending. That officially confirms that Metus is not the traitor, and the ending is probably a parody. That doesn't confirm anything. All we can derive from that is that he doesn't know anything about the extended ending. And why would it be a parody? Extended ending. Extended, meaning some aspects already exists in the "normal" movie. I counted 8. Dunno how many Taka had. Pretty sure it's 7. One for the head, 2 for the pistons and 4 for the knees. [-The Alchemyst-] Quote
Brickthing Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Box Art - Win x10 Gold Ignika - Win x20 Yellow/Keetorange/Gold - Looks very on non-edited photos. @ This Picture - That picture reminds me of Ratchet and Clank running from some giant alien boss. TMN's pose matches it perfectly. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Is that the chapter book? Anywho, looks like you're eager, so sure. :P It'll be a while before I'll go read it at the store, so why not? [-The Alchemyst-] Quote

[-The Alchemyst-] Lol. yeah. Well, first off with the TLR exclusive chapter. Click is the Scarabax shield. Ignika changes it back and forth. Mata Nui defeats a Vorox because the Vorox broke its stinger tail by itself. The Ignika transforms the stinger tail into his sword. Mata Nui saves Ackar from getting killed by Strakk, which they are fighting in an arena match in Vulcanus. Ackar initially won the match but Strakk attacked after he supposely admitted he "lost". Raanu says Strakk will get exiled. It ends by saying how Mata Nui is now an ally with Ackar. And for the first chapter of the actual book: It starts off with Gelu leading a caravan to Tajun, only to be interrupted by Fero. Both engage in a sword to sword fight. Gelu wins and decides not to kill him. And he steals from Fero a map revealing all info on Vulcanus, how to get in, it's weak spots, ect.. Quote
The Dor Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I counted 8. Dunno how many Taka had. Actually it's 10, not 8, I think. 4 for waist, 4 for knees, and two for ankles. And Taka did have 7, as Alchy said. Quote

The sword thing is new, though. And now we have another exiled Glatorian! Now Iconox ends up with no main Glatorian. MORE. SPOILER. NAO. Quote

The Iron Knight Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 The second chapter is Gresh, Gelu and Metus meeting up and going to Vulcanus. They find two Agori stranded in the wastelands. Gresh decides to help for free while Gelu and Metus tell Gresh if he's even from this planet for working for free. Once they get to Vulcanus Raanu finds out about the Raid. Gresh then has the plan to defend Vulcanus. Ackar joins the conversation and says to recruit an army of Glatorian. Gresh heads to Tesara to find Vastus, two Glatorian trainees from Vulcanus go to Tajun to find Kiina and Tarix. And Gelu and Ackar head someplace else. More to come. Nice, thanks for that. Are the two trainees named? And I wonder where Ackar and Gelu are off to? Quote
S-N Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) Nice, thanks for that. Are the two trainees named? And I wonder where Ackar and Gelu are off to? Done with the book. Nah the two trainees aren't named. As they only appear for a small time. Edited June 26, 2009 by S-N Quote
Brickthing Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Loving the spoilers S-N. Does it explain what Mata Nui's body is made out of? And was Click a normal beetle before becoming the shield, or did the Ignika make Click from scratch? Quote

The Dor Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Ankles are the straight Hordika necks, not ball joints. But the back part w/ the pistons has ball joints. And srsly posting spoilers here is really going to kill sales, which will only prove that the books aren't needed >.> Quote
