OH YEAH LEGENDS AVAILABLE ON S@H! SOO GETTING EM!

*ahem*

Anyway, still not sure if I'll get Baranus or not, but I sure want one of Spikit's heads. They're way beyond cool, perfect for some insect like individual.

And epic cover is epic.

Stronius

As soon as Titan Mata Nui is released on S@H, I'm doing one of him too.

BTW, BZp has a summary of the new comic. Everyone sees shooting stars :P

EDIT: Biosector Has also a CGI image of Titan Mata Nui. Problem is... Well, it is the same pose as catalogue image.

Guys: Mata Nui <- Mata Nui at Shop at Home. Already available for purchase (other legends too)

Also: Baranus Back <- Someone on BZP bought the Baranus, that's the back of the box.

BTW, anyone knows how to extract the pictures out from the zoom feature? I'd like to have the High-Res images of the Legends :classic: (like the when someone does take them from Amazon.com... I don't know which member does it right know, but I would aprreciate it)

Yeah I saw the set itself on Majhost but the folder is not yet public.

You can find scans of the new comic here:

It's awesome art as always. 2009 really has the best comics since 2002. And it's awesome to see the Legends in it, and to see Glatorian like Vastus and Gresh get along. And Kiina really doesn't look bad (set wise). And she's rather playful, imho. At least, that's how she seems in this comic. And the last page... no words.

The Scarabax beetles are so cute. x3

The High Res images are really great.

Baranus is still not worth it, in my opinion. Sahmad looks nice, and it has some good assortment of weapons.

And I hope the Tellerius helmet doesn't look as bad in the different color. Look at it!

Biped Spikit isn't such a great idea either. >.>

And Refia, In my opinion, Kiina seems more of the hardy, overextending and fighty type, less than a playful one. She kept wanting to beat up Ackar. o.o

She called Raanu a Sand Mite! She has some guts for doing that.

Can't help it. She looked kinda cute with Ackar holding her back while she insulted Raanu, and the way she laid on the ground saying 'Ouch' after Ackar beat her was classic. Doesn't seem like the viscious harpy Strakk made her out to be. =p And I can definately see her tell Gresh to lighten up.

Kiina is not the friendly type (except to Ackar and Gresh) in RoV. XP

Oh these are the prizes.

-Slow-

Were there any more prizes, or was it just 1st, 2nd and 3rd place?

Because I really would like to see a Cendox review. D:

The Thornatus is pretty darn well designed. o.o I love the back.

For me, that's all she needs to be friendly to (and Mata Nui, of course). =p

Interview with the Director of The legend Reborn:

Q: Hi, Mark! How did you get involved with the BIONICLE movie?

A: I was looking for a new project to direct.

I was reading a lot of scipts and when i read the BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn,

I really liked it! The story appealed to me for several reason.

First, it was a true hero's tale, second, it took place in a strange new world, and third, it had a good theme of teamwork and friendship.

Q: What are some of the challenges in converting BIONICLE sets into movie characters?

A: We had to go into the original toy designs

and adjust some of what was already there,

while adding pieces, to give them more detail.

We also added moving parts, so that the Glatorian seem like fully functional, life sized being --

Noy like plastic toys. We wanted them to look like they had a very rough life exposed to the hard environment of Bara Magna.

Their rusty, scraped and faded textures reflect the idea that life is hard in there world.

Q:Can you take us through the process of BIONICLe character being animated?

A: One the character is modelled in 3-D, it is then rigged. The rigging is like giving the BIONICLE character bones and muscles, so that he or she is then able to movie in the animation program.

After modeling and rigging, the animators test the character, usally by animating a walk cycle. A lot can be determined by seeing how a character walks. One the walk cycle is refined and approved, the facial rig is tested -- usally by changing expressions and doing a lip-sync test.

One the rigs are all working, the character is then put into the 3-D set and is posed for laying out in front of the camera. After that, the animator begins the process of bringing the BIONICLe character to life with poses movement, expressions, and lip-sync. The early animation test are very stiff and robotic, but one all the motion is added and properly time-- the character comes to life and moves the way you will see him or her in the movie.

Only after all the motion is approved, does that BIONICLE character get all his textures and lighting-- just like in a traditional film.

Q: Do you have a favorite Character?

A: My favorite character is Click. In the original script the unnamed scarabax beetle was supposed to change into a shield and stay that way for the whole film. I thought it would be fun to give the bettle the ability to change back and forth and also give him a name. That way, Mata Nui would have a little companion to take along his Journey*

Thanks, Mark, We're all looking forward to the Movie!

And Scans (GLATORIAN HAVE TEETH, YES!):

Just got Raid on Vulcanus today. Great read, I'd definitely reccomend it.

Also, that Agori Kyry that's been mentioned, like once, actually shows up. However, he has no dialouge...

Yeah, it just mentions him seeing the battle. =/

What does it refer him as? He doesn't have a name yet, and I doubt it says the MLN Agori or Hero Agori...

Oh.

I see what LEGO did there.

I've been wondering how that attaches, and I've been thinking that it must attach so that it doesn't move.

But after seeing the high-def images I realized that it's a lot cooler than that. :3

Is that good though? The blades are at an angle, which means they can only bend up so much before the hit each other if they're moved up evenly. If they're not moved equally, it's even less pretty.

Hopefully though when they move down it could make a semi-Tarakava look though.

Guys, if in the LEGO Club Code thing you type MOVIE, there's a whole interview (in fact is almost the same thing). The good news is that those are the same pages but not scanned, digital. :classic:

Also, where are the comic scans? BZP isn't working for me :/ Forget about it.

EDIT: Found this on the Internet:

June 19th 09

Cryoshell - 1 song is ready and mixed, and is gonna be used for the new LEGO campaign for Bionicle. We recently tracked more songs for the bands coming album, and I love the songs. Soon we'll track some more vocals.

The studio they record in is called Hansen Studios. Hope to hear more soon :classic:
