Bfahome Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Is that good though? The blades are at an angle, which means they can only bend up so much before the hit each other if they're moved up evenly. If they're not moved equally, it's even less pretty.Hopefully though when they move down it could make a semi-Tarakava look though. Well, the blades themselves are solidly connected, but the housing for them moves up and down and side to side so it can steer right. Which is really clever, IMO. Where'd you find that? I thought we didn't have any good CG pics of Cendox Screenshotted it from the Cendox Zoom window on S@H. Quote

Indeed! I'm really quite impressed that it has functions for a twenty dollar set! Vultraz's speeder had only a partial function. Quote
Front Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 I've just built "CLICK", and the set number is 20012, at least that's what it says on the bag and the instruction book. Quote

I'd rather just get them in the Agents $50 set. :P Dunno, I don't like the set of Click, but love the character. Looks great in the comic and Movie, I wonder how he'll act in the movie. I love the background of the Click Poly-bag, but I think the character is a bit strange. If it can transform at will, why would it want to become a shield to be blasted with thornax and whacked with weapons? If it can't change at will, isn't it kind of cruel to keep it alive as opposed to making it an inanimate object as in the original plan? Quote

Well, when he's a shield, he doesn't have "nerves", so he can't feel the blows or anything. Besides, Click willingly chose to stay with Mata Nui... Quote
Refia Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) Isn't it the Ignika who transforms Click, though? If so, I doubt the beetle has much say in the matter of being a shield or not. The Ignika does whatever it wants in order to protect itself: make a body for Mata Nui, turn Click in a shield, change a vorox tail in a sword... Hey, seems like Empire of the Skrall 6 is up. I think this is the first time we see a female Skrall... But I could be mistaken. The cliffhanger is boring, as we both know Stronius and Tuma are alive by the time Mata Nui arrives, and he hasn't arrived yet. Edited June 29, 2009 by Refia Quote

Or that they are wise enough to suggest the surrender of weapons? Quote
Refia Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 No, I just find the "Kill them both" boring when we KNOW they won't die seeing as Tuma appears in the movie and Stronius in "A Hero Reborn", both of which happen after Empire of the Skrall. That's all. I do find the female Skrall interesting, just not the 'cliffhanger' Greg ended this chapter with. Quote
Shakar Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 "This is madness," Stronius said. "You realize that." Ooooh. I have a feeling this'll become a fad over BZP. But I'll probably be mistaken. Anyway, interesting chapter, despite the cliffhanger (but really, couldn't have been made differently from that point of view). That's an amazing power the female Skrall have. And I quite like Stronius's character. Shakar Quote

I get the feeling it has to do with the females requiring the males to put down their weapons and live peacefully rather than live like they are still at war. But of course, the Skrall being as they are, this arrangement could never be-so the Skrall left their sisters. And knowing what we now know of the Baterra, the females had the right idea all along. Tuma has rather led his people on a very unnecessary destructive path. several Agori and Glatorian dead tto the Skrall's conquest to get back at the Baterra- all because the Skrall are too hard-headed to just put down the sword and live normally. Brickthing Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I'm not 100% sure that they're female Skrall, mainly because it doesn't say it outright and I disagree with such big differences between members of the same race due to gender. I do like the suggestion that the Skrall where only slaughtered because they refused to stop fighting. What would make it doubly cool is if the Baterra approached Tuma (or another leader) in secrecy and asked him to surrender, and he refused, dooming his people. Also, I saw a red Jinzo. Quote
Refia Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I think Greg said once that if the Baterra saw you fight once, it won't matter if you stop fighting later. You can't just suddenly drop your weapon when they approach you to make them leave you alone, I believe. So I don't think stopping their warlike life would have mattered for the Skrall. The baterra are on their trail regardless. Quote

That's probably why the Sisters of the Skrall(as they were titled in the story) asked Stronius to drop his weapon. So long as you are unarmed, you are safe. The reason you are dead even if you Do decide to drop your weapon at the sight of the Baterra is that they would kill you before your fingers had chance to move. Quote
Wrinkledlion X Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I like the idea of the female Skrall being angelic but threatening and the males being just brutal. Sounds like something out of mythology. Also, that's not really a reason to complain about a cliffhanger. We know Tuma's in the movie, but few of the people actually reading know anything about the movie yet, so it's a perfectly good cliffhanger for them. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Hi Greg! I just read EotS, and had a thought on the separation of the Skrall:I get the feeling it has to do with the females requiring the males to put down their weapons and live peacefully rather than live like they are still at war. But of course, the Skrall being as they are, this arrangement could never be-so the Skrall left their sisters. And knowing what we now know of the Baterra, the females had the right idea all along. Is this close to the situation? I find all of this incredibly interesting. Nope -- Skrall women are not lovers of peace. They are, if anything, nastier than the males are, but they go about things in different ways and their goals are different. Tuma and the Skrall are pretty much "in your face" ... the women are subtle and more likely to manipulate into destroying yourself than attack your city by force of arms. looks like I was WAAAAY off. The females aren't peaceful- just smarter. Quote
Takanuva-nui Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I swear, this story just keeps getting better and better. It seems Greg has cleverly inserted the female Skrall in a way that is actually quite mythic and epic. I just find it funny that we finally see them in the story after Greg has been bombarded by female Skrall questions in the OGD the past couple weeks. Regardless, its all good. Has anyone found clear scans to the new comic, and wouldn't mind directing me there? BZP is painfully slow for my computer. T-Nui Quote

Nightmare Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 So, no has read anything right? No one has checked OGD yet? OK... The Endless Ocean Planet is actually a part of Spherus Magna. So now there's only one piece left. Quote

Nightmare Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Actually, I've already read it. Just forgot to post it. Wonder why Greg revealed that? Well, since the sotry arc in the Endless Ocean planet in already finished, maybe he just didn't care. Anyways, there's another planet out there most likely frozen. Also wondering how much of The Shattering will the movie cover... Quote
Brickthing Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Wait, so if the EO planet is one of the smaller chunks, are the two Bara Magnian moons just really big small rocks that don't count as a chunk of SM? Also, how on earth did the EO get so far away? It was a shattering where the planet fell apart, not a freakin' mega'splosion! At least we know Mata Nui's most-likely mission now - find the pieces of Spherus Magna. He sets up on each planet to scan it for traces of SM, be it EP or SM life. I'm sure one of his godly powers involved sending the planet back to BM once he found it, with the UDD map and purple clouds being a reminder as to which planet was BM. He was finding the EO just as the Makuta shut him down, so once the whole Makuta-stole-my-body thing is resolved, or whenever Mata Nui gets his powers back, he will set out to find the Northern Frost planet. It's been a while, so even the slightest amount of drift is going to eventually take it faaar away. Also having an enormous robot crash into it from orbit may have caused it to speed up. ---Vertea--- Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) Well, if we do end up seeing the other chunk, then I hope it's all lush and forested. It would mean cooler creatures! Edited June 30, 2009 by ---Vertea--- Quote
