Nightmare Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Well, if we do end up seeing the other chunk, then I hope it's all lush and forested. It would mean cooler creatures! As far as I know the forested area was in Bara Magna. I think the other chunk is the Northern Frost. Quote

Brickthing Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 It's been a while, so even the slightest amount of drift is going to eventually take it faaar away. Also having an enormous robot crash into it from orbit may have caused it to speed up. According to gravity, the EO couldn't just drift away from it's sun, even if it could drift a significant distance away from BM on it's own. I doubt that MN impacting the planet made much of a difference either, because straight after the impact Rahi, the Matoran and the Toa Metru began moving to the recently formed Mata Nui, at which point the EO was in a (at least for 1000 years) stable orbit with the nearest sun, so it's very unlikely that the EO could've been pushed extremely far away from BM and then be caught perfectly by another sun's gravity a short while later. Matsuoka Nui Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 For those that didn't know yet.... EOP has its name revealed! I'm kinda surprised that he actually mentioned it this year...(I thought he was going to mention the name later...?) Aqua Magna So there's that and Bara Magna.... Quote

According to gravity, a planet shouldn't split apart and separate at all. "Real life physics don't apply in BIONICLE, unless scientists discovered Protodermis yesterday and I wasn't told about it." — Greg Farshtey Maybe the EO planet was on the opposite side of the orbit as Bara Magna, and Iggy/Mats was launched out into orbit and eventually came around and hit Bara. ---Vertea--- Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 well, if Aqua Magna were pushed away from Shperus and towards the sun, then maybe that WAS the arctic area. The other chunk would still be relatively close to Bara, yes? I think the location of everything needs to be clarified... Theres a Skopio X-V1 review on BZP!!!! Quote
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 This is all very awesome, but leaves two pretty confounding questions: 1. The Ignika came from OUTSIDE the UDD System in the TLR trailer, well away from either Moon. The movie makers obviously don't know a thing about the nature of the Moons. >_> 2. Why the heck did Mata Nui spend 99,000 years on so many planets? O_o Of course, he could've been collecting spread-out remnants of the EP to prevent it from shattering other planets, but hm... Oh, and some alternative spelling like 'Akua Magna' would've been nice. :P And the the chunks of Spherus Magna are prolly still all in the same solar system. Who wants to bet the final Moon will be Cryo Magna? -Ikk Quote

I know what you mean. But I'm hardly ever thaere anyway. It's easier to talk and I have more friends on EB. On another note, do you think you'll end up with next years sets first this time? It's weird when other people get them first-they don't tantalize us properly. You do a much better job keeping us teased and updated. XD Quote

It´s so frustrating when you order a set so early, update your blog with informations about it all hyped up and then...BLAM someone already got it and is posting pictures like crazy all over. Then you´re like...the f*** man I´ve been out for like a day, the set is finally in my hands but my rep and all the work is rueened. :D Still waiting for the Skopio review to show up. Neat... Quote

The Alchemyst Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Stopped regularly checking BZP for a while. It's my home page though, so I just check the news. Oh, that very nice of you to say. ---Vertea--- Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Call dibs on the Winter '10 Ice Canister. [-The Alchemyst-] Call dibs on the next coolest looking one-or coolest if ice turns out to be a dud. Anyone remember when we got our first peek last year, or what to type in Google search to check? Quote

Takanuva-nui Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 (edited) I think we should get them around the same time as last year. I mean, think about it. All the sets were done early this year for the movie-makers, and the storyline team is already done with 2010 really. With all 2009 stuff completed at the beginning of 2009, the first wave for 2010 should be very far into development. Does anyone know if there should be another movie next year? Or does that hinge on this year's movie sales? I'm quite interested to see what direction the 2010 story will take, since I figure Mata Nui will beat the Skrall this year. T-Nui That alone almost guarantees that we'll be seeing a new location. Bara Magna has little to offer aside from the Skrall and the history it provides. If Mata Nui wins, there will be little on Bara Magna to squeeze plot out of, so we'd need another location with more problems and more to do. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 xD The dibs was a joke. I wouldn't be surprised if went into the history of Bara Magna for '10. But seeing whatever Mata Nui's mission is [something about gathering all the parts of the planet? Losing my grasp on the storyline. @_@], it's likely we might see more of Mata Nui. But then again, another year with another different set version of Mata Nui would be... iffy. [-The Alchemyst-] Quote

We've barely even seen this little corner of it. Quote

Brickthing Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Aqua Magna? It may be Latin, but a less-English-common latin word for water/sea/wet would've been better. I'm still at confuzzled odds with the EO is part of SM thing. I suppose the in-the-same-solar system thing is plausible, and it explains seeing the Red Star on BM, but it brings up serious issues of how both EO/AM and BM close enough to both be in the safe temp zone of the local sun, yet are far enough apart for Matoran astronomers not to have seen the giant purple clouds around BM. It also takes down the epic space-travelling purpose of the MU if it's only inside one solar system. IMO Bara Magna is likely to be finished this year. Since 2004 the BIONICLE story has had a drastically different setting each year, and Bara Magna prides itself for being a desert and only a desert. The North is only being explored in the serials, so it would be more likely to change the setting via planet then dropping the bombshell on kids that BM is only a desert planet on one side. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 "Almost everything"? We've barely been there six months, and there's still a helluva lot to check out... as 3d Brickthing said, it's just a desert with no special things about it. Everything worth knowing is already known or will be revealed in the movie. Bara magna is just not enought material to pull another story out of once this conflict is resolved. ALTHOUGH...... we've really only seen below the Black spikes, so what's on the other side? if Aqua Magna is really one of the chunks, then BM is MASSIVE. There may yet be more to it on the other side... Quote
