Kinda surprised to see "hell" again, though. BZP is gonna freak.

And people will try to complain about the use of the word, it'll be filtered, they'll try to bypass the filter, get in trouble, and be not much better than those they rave against.

Though the context may give it some leeway, since they're not saying something like "what the hell". It's more of a condition, I guess…

I thought since it obviously wasn't soft rock, then it had to be something else, but all that came to my mind was "hard rock." Even when I said that though, I realized that something wasn't right, because general hard rock is REALLY hard, and Cryoshell is not.

its slightly malleable rock duh

Thanks, Nightmare, the "fall" makes sense, "From I will fall" still doesn't though. Nor does the "screeching bird" part, @_@ Anyone have ideas for that?

Begone, be gone, whatever. :P

Release...

Let me take on eternity

Taking one more step

And let it rip through me

I'm building up my nerves,

So you can wish me well

Or you can wish me hell.

For I will fall! [?]

Bye bye Babylon!

One screeching bird, A sun.[?]

You're taking everyone

So don't you know,

You don't belong

Bye Bye Babylon!

Now scattered you're alone

We're burning in the sun

We better be...

Bye Bye Babylon begone!

Unseen...

The crime of destruction is facing me

I wanted to retreat,

But you won't let me be.

I'm calling for belief.

Be sure, I will be there.

And you will faaaallll [fade]

Bye Bye Babylon.

Now scattered you're alone.

We're burning in the sun

We better be...

Bye Bye Babylon begone!

Bye Bye Babylon begone!

Bye Bye Babylon begone!

To me, it sounds like either "from high we'll fall" or "from pride we'll fall".

One screeching bird, A sun.[?]

hehe.png

I hear "once reaching for the sun".

Now scattered you're alone

"Now scattered you were wrong"

All right, after listening to "Bye Bye, Babylon" again, my opinion's changed.

The song is better than horrible, but worse than decent....

I don't think the band sucks, but the songs they've put out just repulse me (maybe if they tried instrumentals only..?).

Anyone thrilled to get a new Sneak peek tomorrow?

And I'm not quite sure why everyone is complaining about Cryoshell. For a very new band, they're not bad. There are better, to be sure, but considering they're especially doing music for a toy line, it's really very impressive. Bionicle would have to exist longer to get bigger bands like Transformers does.

1) I, for one, am very excited. I want to see Metus, but I've got a feeling we'll only see the Vorox fight.

2) Yeah, they're new, but so are a lot of other bands (Cavo, Since October, Pop Evil, for example), and those bands are extremely talented. I'm also aware that they're a band for a toy line, but it's like they're trying too hard to make their music for BIONICLE. One thing (the only thing, in actuality) I like about them is that they've made some killer instrumentals. "Creeping in My Soul" and "Gravity Hurts" are good examples of when the instrumentals flow very well with the CGI, but then the vocals come in and kill the song.

3) I know you're not talkin' to me specifically, but I thought I'd throw in my opinion....

3) That's cool. I like opinions. :)

But yes... Vocals always ruin a good tune. I've actually never been one for lyrical songs- more orchestral or instrumental. Though Creeping in My Soul had some VERY wicked lyrics. It fit the dark nature of the Barraki perfectly. After that, they just couldn't invoke the same emotions and should have left it purely music-no lyrics. The beginning of the Mistika one was another favourite, but once again ruined with singing.

This one isn't too bad, but they should have gone for something more deserty and less rock.

And on the subject of orchestral... I've noticed that in the recent Sneak Peek, the music is VERY epic and more cinematic than the crash music. I hope there's more like it in the rest of the movie.

See: "Un Monde Sans Danger"/"A World Without Danger" (Code Lyoko theme song).

Perfect example.

But I do kind of like the timing of the vocals in the song. And again, it's awesome that we get an instrumental version as well.

It's clearly better than some of the recent ones, but IMO Caught Up In A Dream and Hero are much better. Better than Move Along and Crashed even. Bye Bye Babylon is the third best Bionicle song. Maybe I'm just an AIK fan.

On another note, I intend on getting Cendox, Mats, Kiina, and Ackar this week. The legends are at my local Wal-Mart, but I think I'll have to wait a little to find Cendox.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post about this, but I picked up the Titan Mata Nui from Toy's R' Us today, and I'm honestly quite surprised at how much I like him. I got him with intent to fill in his torso a bit and beef up his arms, but after looking at him in person there's really no need. I'm also liking how he bears many similarities to the canister version like the bell-bottom ankle armor (handled MUCH better on the titan) and the far more proportionate limbs. The multi-colored look is actually good in my opinion, since it highlights a lot of the complex build without looking too slapped together. I may do a picture review of the completed figure for you guys sometime later tonight, since all this is just my opinion, and your milage may vary.

P.S. - Since price was a point of contention, let me point out he was $50 for 366 pieces.

Could you give us his BIO Code? It's the only one thet we're missing.

I like Ackar's voice. Gresh sounds a little... older than I expected, but good. Kiina surpises me. I like when her actress goes all: I'm Kiina and I'm the best Glatorian out there. *says something else* Wooooohooooooo!

And Berix sounds comical, I guess. Like... Uhm... Hear it yourselves.

I'm disapointed. I wanted to see a Vorox, not behind-the-scenes, no matter how cool it is to hear other voices. :(

Don't Berix's lines that seem to be accusing the traitor seem to suggest that he's not the traitor? Also, his voice seems way to comical to be a neglected Agori/Glatorian turned dark-side.

Exactly my thoughts.

His first bit sounds like he's confronting the traitor, while the second suggest he's being threatened.

I like the voices overall. Much better than the previous three movies. =/

Having got over my initial disapointment at the lack of Vorox today, here's my opinion on the voices:

Berix: I agree with everybody who said that his first line is like he is confronting the traitor. I'm not sure about the voice, I'll need to hear it in-movie to know if it fits the water Agori or not. But it's not bad.

Ackar: Great! Exactly how an old Glatorian who is beginning to feel his age should sound like, imho. Like his line of "armed with only a tail and... that thing".

Kiina: Exactly how I imagined her, hyper, excited, boasting... Perfect fit. "Name's Kiina, a Glatorian and one of the best. And you just won me a lot of bets." Briliant line!

Gresh: He's not bad at all, really. Sure, Gresh is the youngest of the Glatorian, doesn't mean he needed a teenage voice or so. This one suits him, and stresses the point that he tries hard to be serious all the time.

All in all, sounds good. Now where's my Vorox?

Well... Look at Bionicle.com homepage, then click the Image. It was supposed to be that clip, but someone screwed up and uploaded Behind the scenes

Gresh is supposed to be a rookie, so a young voice is suiting. In BIONICLE, Matoran are thousands of years old, but still act and sound like kids, so I think we should've given up associating voice with age by now.

The thing that bothers me is that the movie is keeping a set-like appearance, which means all the characters including Kiina are going to look like Iron Man. Hopefully the facial animation will be able to make Kiina's face match her voice, because currently I find Iron Man with Kiina's voice looking quite silly.

Posted

Berix: ... I think I will mute him.... o_____o

Ackar: Sounds good to me.

Kiina: Beats the crap out of Hahli and Nokama.

Gresh: I always imagined him to have a raspy voice, but it's fine.

Hahah! Awesome! Those vices are great, but here's my opinion voice-by-voice.

Berix: Heh, I like his voice. It sounds like a helpless villager perfectly, a kind of bystander who may or may not prove himself to be evil. Totally awesome.

Ackar: He's aging, and his voice is incredibly familiar, I just don't know where I've heard it before. Not much else to say about this, though . . . His acting's pretty good.

Mata Nui: His voice itself is nice, but some parts of his acting are a bit stiff. :/ Maybe that's just how Mata Nui's supposed to be, since he's never had any real interaction with another living being, buuuut I dunno . . . .

Kinna: YES! She has an awesome and young voice! A talented one, too! I was afraid she was gonna suffer from Gali-syndrome where she got an aging voice, but her voice is great!

Gresh: Pretty much what I imagined Gresh to sound like, so :D.

I really wanna hear Strakk though. He's voiced by the guy that voiced Candlejack. And that's awes

Posted

Those voices were indeed awesome...

Berix: Not bad...but it's not what I expected, but then again he's a villager, in panic...:/

Ackar: His voice is pretty good, (sounds old and young at the same time?)

MN: His voice is good too...very serious (but yet peaceful?)

Kiina: Whoa! I didn't expect this voice to be loud and young! But I guess it's better for a female character to be wild and strong! Wow, she's pretty excited for MN in terms of what she said.

Gresh: I figured that his voice would be wild and exciting as well, like Kiina's.

Posted

Finally! A behind-the-scenes! Love the characters' voices. Now I'm totally hyped for the movie!

One thing though: RoV confirmed that the traitor is an Agori. Seeing as only 3 Agori are going to have a major role in the movie, I'm starting to think that either Raanu or Metus could be the traitor (Berix doesn't seem too evil, judging by his voice).

Posted

Much as I'm disappointed in the lack of a Zorox fight, the chance to hear voices is great.

Ackar is spot-on. no questions there.

Kiina is more excited than I imagined her, but I like it.

Berix... is okay. I thought he'd sound older.

Gresh... Will do nicely. Not what I imagined, but it fits.

MN, of course, is another perfect voice.

...And BZP is giving away prototype parts.

Am I the only person who hates Kiina's voice? Sounds like a really crap dub from an anime. Berix sure as hell sucks balls too.

Rest are alright. But Mata Nui still trumps.
