Idea for Berix vs Metus is epic. Also, it seems (due to the images) that Tuma and Mata Nui fight in Vulcanus or Roxtus? Dunno. I recall it being all "lava-ee" you know?

Hey, does anyone that has the Mata Nui set know if you can modify the shield to be more movie-accurate? If so, what parts would you need (I was thinking a Rahkshi head)?

@ Mata Nui needing help - I'm just surprised that he didn't mention something about being in a coma for 1,000 years, but I suppose he got over that while in the mask in space. I'm also surprised that he didn't complain about that either. I would've...

Atakus and Metus each have a broken hand. Why do all the cool parts have to have new breakable joints?

So far Raanu's left hand is broken, as is his head. My Strakk is holding up fine, but I'm reluctant to do anything uber-violent with him in fears that he'll break.

But I thought Mata Nui's most glaing character flaw was that he didn't explicitly care about what was going on inside him. (Not to mention he's been unconscious and probably has no idea what the toa/Matoran/turaga have done for him while he was asleep/dying . . . )

Unfortunately MOCing counts as a violent act with the newer ball joints.

I'm think that there was probably a reason that Mata Nui wasn't paying attention to his insides such as being distracted and heavily involved with the universe outside him, because the Glatorian Mata Nui's kind and caring personality certainly doesn't match the irresponsible baby-sitter of the MU that he seemed to be earlier.

I tried it a few months ago, but the pieces never arrived. Does LEGO think there's something suspicious about ordering replacement hands?

I could hardly think so. Suspicious may occur (I think) if someone tries and request something that could hardly be missing in a set, like some SW torso, head etc. that is expensive on bricklink). No need to be afraid of them being suspicious. If you are honest and friendly, I'm sure they will never have any doubts.

I've never had hands break though, but obviously you have.

I've tried once complaining about breaking ball cups, and I recieved replacements, some extra too, although some of them were wrong (lol).

I suggest you just try and make the contact again through lego-dot-com, and tell what parts had failures, from which sets, which colours, etc. (btw. check the inventory in the building instructions, here you'll see the part number).

I guess there are several things that could go wrong, that results in you not getting the replacement, like customer service being busy, not actually getting the parts sent, or that they the parts just did not get to your address. You are a long way from Billund in Denmark.

If you do it again, I think you can write comments. Just write you don't think you ever recieved those from your previous replacement request.

I've recieved replacements from LEGO really fast and easily in the past.

(Unsurprisingly they were all ball joints from 2008, which seem to break if you look at them funny.)

I really wish they'd just go back to using the same material the ball joint pieces were made of when the series began. Those were so much more durable
