I know that, don't worry. ;) But he can't fight very good yet with his awesome sword and you don't see him shooting fancy life energy from his blade, now do you? That's all I meant.

But I'm curious, how does he continue to prove himself unobservant and unintelligent? Just wondering.

On Bara Magna, he makes references to Toa when nobody could possibly know what a Toa was, and he thinks that knocking the mask of the sand-bat would weaken it. Surely through his observations of countless other worlds, he would have realized that mask-dependency is a local phenomenon only. (Not that he paid any attention to his universe anyway... :hmpf: )

I'm sure we'll see more reasons in further previews and when we see the movie.

Okay, this new scene finally confirms it - The Legend Reborn is going to be win. Actual elemental power usage, dialogue that isn't nearly as cheesy as in the first three movies, awesome animation - the list of awesome things just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Even Berix doesn't sound nearly as bad as he did in the very first clip - and he does't sound like Spongebob anymore.

Man, I hope this movie does well, because I would really like to see two more for 2010 and 2011 - especially if the storyline is going to have a giant character reunion in the next year. Imagine how awesome it would be to see the Toa Nuva done in this style, complete with decent voice actors and dialogue that accurately portrays their character! :sweet:

It's called homages or tributes for old fans of the series.

Ackar: "I was thinking the same thing!"

Though 3D Brickthing has a point too. But the Kanohi issue only happened in a level 3 reader, so, no big deal.

You know, there's actually an explanation to the whole "Glatorian weapon canonical" thing. Remember back in the first 2 movies, when the Toa store their weapons on their backs, the weapons simply disappear. Greg said it's just a movie thing. Maybe the Glatorian weapons' original non-elemental form is also a movie thing, to show kids the upgrade. In reality, Mata Nui simply charged the weapons with elemental powers.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I'm gonna ask Greg about this.

That's possible, but it would then make sense to simply have the same weapon just greyed out and non-elemental coloured, not have an entirely different weapon in the case of Ackar and Gresh.

Update from Greg:

Recently, there are a few new movie clips released online. I got some questions about it:

1. A recent movie trailer in German showed scenes of a battle between Tarix and Vastus. Oddly enough, they have their Thornax launchers, which didn't make it into the movie according to what you said earlier. Plus, Tarix doesn't seem to shoot a Thornax fruit but rather an energy blast. Can you explain this?

2. A 3-minute clip on Amazon revealed that Mata Nui uses the Ignika to charge the Glatorian weapons with elemental powers. Before they were charged, they look nothing like the set versions (for example, Ackar's sword simply looks like a normal sword until Mata Nui charges it with fire power, then it resembles the set version more). This is a movie thing to simply show the weapon upgrade more clearly, yes?

And some non-movie questions:

3. I know that there's a member whose job is to ask questions about pronunciation, but seeing as he hasn't posted yet, I took the liberty to ask this question: how do you pronounce Angonce?

4. Other than Reign of Shadows, do you think you'll have to cut short the web serials this year? As I recall, you said that the Bara Magna serials take place prior to the movie, and the movie is gonna be released soon.

1) I never said Thornax do not appear in the film at all. What I said was their appearance in the film is minimal, because the design was not finalized when we were working on the script, so they were basically thrown into the story at the last minute. If you check the trivia for the movie on imdb.com, it says essentially the same thing.

2) In the comics, though, Ackar always has the sword he winds up with in the movie, because that is the sword that comes with the set. It was an elementally powered weapon to start with, it simply ran out of charge tens of thousands of years ago.

3) ANN-gahnts (pronounced like "fonts")

4) I don't plan to, no. ROTGB will end the way it was always planned to, and so with EOS. I choose how many parts they are going to be, it's not mandated for me.

The movie trailer was in Polish I believe.

Is his answer confirmation of whether the powers are from the Glatorian or the weapons? :sceptic:

That Skopio should have destroyed the Thornatus in the recent clip.

I still feel that Gelu should be Mata Nui's 4th companion.

Noo, that's animal cruelty! The Skopio was only curious and doesn't deserve to be punnished.:laugh:

I recently purchased Rockoh for $12, but still have yet to find Jetrax for less than $40 (it's been a six month search, now...)

However, seeing Thornatus in those clips has made me seriously consider paying full price, just to play with it.

I don't know if this was mentioned...but....

There's another Amazon exclusive clip! And it shows the robot MN and the MU!!! (perhaps Metru Nui? briefly! At around 0:19-0:30, but there's a brief cut in between at some point...)

WOW! seeing the MU inhabitants animated and recoloured is amazing! I'm also happy to see that the movie will begin with the end of 08.

I doubt it will begin with the end of '08. It's more likely a flashback. Like Mata Nui explaining his situation to the Glatorian.

Did we just read the same post?

Yeah, my bad, I thought it said that the Skopio should be destroyed.

That's an epic trailer, but mass-Av-Matoran is a crying matter to cannon. They've all got jetpacks! :cry_sad: The GS looks like he's rendered in a video game compared to the beutiful Ghost stuff last year. :hmpf_bad:

At the end, two Stroni jump out of the way of a cage that looks like it has Kiina and Berix in it. Not sure if it's Kiina in there though.

That was the most epic BIONICLE movie trailer I've ever seen. Still, "Spiky Thornax Launcher" bothers me. And it seems like Tarix and Vastus will get a weapon upgrade as well.

It hyped me up so much I almost felt ashamed. The Spiky Thornax Launcher thing was probably put there to promote launchers (looks like kids really like them). That MU scene blew me away...They´ve done a really good job...

I uploaded it on youtube

That clip was probably the full trailer.

But I still need to hear Tuma speak. IMO he needs Vader's voice XD

BTW It seens like Tarix will also get an upgrade. Watch the YouTube version and pause at 1:01, thats one of Tarix's waterblades.

No, Vader's voice would make him sound handicapped, which he isn't. Plus, we don't wanted him screaming Noooo now do we?

Good spotting with Tarix's blade - I wasn't sure what weapon that was. Mata Nui is probably arming all the Glatorian for war once he's given the bad news and shown of the new weapons in Tessara.
