Wrinkledlion X Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I like that they advertise his "Spiked Thornax Launcher" with a clip of two unrelated Glatorian firing their launchers. Quote
Bfahome Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I like that they advertise his "Spiked Thornax Launcher" with a clip of two unrelated Glatorian firing their launchers. And with said launcher being more of an energy launcher than a Thornax Launcher. Anyway, I'm debating on whether or not to get Ackar and maybe a Skrall or two in addition to Mata Nui. I definitely want Mats, but I also like how A Car is played in TLR and now I sort of want him (plus more ankle armor and straight Hordika necks~). I also want more than just one Stronius and one Vorox for them to fight, so I'm thinking of getting one or two Skrall. Should I get: 1. One Skrall 2. One more Stronius and one Skrall 3. Two Skrall 4. Zero Skrall 5. Other (specify plox) ? Quote
Wrinkledlion X Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 (edited) If you already have Stronius, I'd go with #3. Edited September 4, 2009 by Gunnar Quote

Nightmare Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) is the mata nui concept new :O? If you mean the 2nd image, it is. If you mean the last, it appeared on an Amazon leaked video from 2008 hinting at the ending of 2008. Edited September 6, 2009 by Nightmare Quote
Ikki o' Moopyville Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) Why on EARTH didn't they make Karda Nui look this awesome?? Primordial jungles and overgrown caverns are far more inspiring than just rockrockrock and the occasional grey plant. And just when I thought Mata Nui was as cool as cool gets, we get this. Breathtaking pictures, thanks for sharing them! Mata Nui island and Toa concept art make me weep with joy. -Ikk Edited September 6, 2009 by Ikki o' Moopyville Quote
Nightmare Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) About Mata Nui, well... look this! : Hello Bink. I know you're a busy man, and I don't like to ask for those kind of things, or be exigent, but I just recently discovered this, and wondered: "Does that mean Advance has a full body Mata Nui high quality image?". My question is quite simple: Do you think we could get a High Resolution image of robot Mata Nui from ADVANCE/Ghost? You could post it on BIONICLE.com as a poster, give it to Swert on Biosector01, or host it on Flickr, and link to it from BZP.BTW, if you're not the right person to ask for this, would it be better to contact Mr. Christan Faber from Advance via e-mail? I just don Edited September 6, 2009 by Nightmare Quote

Zarkan Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Dunno if this is new or not, but I've got some disapointing news from Greg: Hello again Greg. Recently, I realized that a few of the set characters of Bionicle 2009 have not been used in barely any media at all. While the bulk of the characters have gotten spots in the comics, serials, books, or movie, several characters have yet to make an appearance in any of those. My question for you is: will Atakus, Telluris, or Sahmad make an apperance in the story this year? Thanks as always. ~~END~~ Telluris shows up in the The Crossing, and I think Atakus may have been in that as well, don't recall. I don't have plans for Sahmad. With only two books this year, and one a movie novelization, I did not have room to feature all the characters. Yep, unfortunately, Sahmad is the first set character to not appear once in the storyline, despite the huge potential he has as a villian. Quote
Brickthing Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 That's disappointing. They did it with the Hydruka as well, but at least the Hydruka weren't characters as much. However, they probably chose to drop Sahmad because they were tight for space, and the bigger part of the set - the Spikit, is already featured in serials. Quote

The Hydruka were featured - they got a few cameos in Bionicle Legends 6. I think only Morak was actually mentioned by name, but they still were in the storyline. And besides, they're just little Rahi - it wouldn't matter much if they weren't featured. Sahmad, on the other hand, could have been awesome, had he been given any actual time in the story. Now that I know he won't, however, I'm hoping that one of the winning entries in the Core War story writing contest will feature him - that way, we can at least get a canon appearance in the storyline.
