I think I'll join in the fun as well! Here's a picture of my cat, Simba. I'm his third owner, first on moved, second one took care of him until he moved in with us. He loves attention and nose rubs, and doesn't attack my Legos. (he does shed though! ) In his spare time he's joined "Varsity Hunting" and has successfully diminished the wild bunny population in our backyard.

I'm so fortunate to have such a loving and grateful companion as him!

I know my beloved kitty of 17 years is comming to his end. I don't have any good pictures of him. I know you can't get a cat to sit still in a studio. I'd like some advice on taking a nice picture of Cirrus like the one posted above. I would also like if it could be enlarged and framed to put it on my wall. Please help me. I've known him since he ws just a kitten.

I'm sorry but I really don't know! My cat is "naturally photogenic" and will look at the camera for almost any photo. The lighting and colors turned out nice in that picture, and it's my best shot of him. As for enlarging and framing, I'm sure that would be easy to do. My suggestion is Aaron Brothers.

Then just don't take the picture of him in the studio. If you're dead set on photographing him in the studio, then drug him a little so he won't run.

That's the best I've gotten out of my camera. I took this about half an hour ago. I'd like for it to be just him and not me holding him. He hates to be picked up and held. I almost want a portait of him. One to hang in the family room or the den.

From your picture, I suggest that you use more natural light. I've found that many cats love the sunlight, so maybe a picture of Cirrus in the sun would be better.

He likes to be in my bedroom and I don't get much light in that room. He also loves to sun himself, outside though. I took that when it was completly dark. that was more of a test picture and it ended up being one of my best pictures. He also hates the flash. I tried flash after that picture and all I got was big white blurrs. I could try and get him on my sofa. My camera is on a power cordm and it's hard to get it around quickly before he moves. Also I forgot to get that stuff out of his eye before the picture. I took that when I couldn't see the picture on the camera. I got it out after the picture. I didn't even try hard to get that pic.

Here's a older picture of him thats a few years old. He does look older in the new picture.

This is him in his youthful years. the old man version of him is in my sig.

Here is my puppy named Chewie after Chewbacca, because frankly her face reminds me of Chewie.

Wow! That dogs so cute!

Did anyone hear? Paul O'Gradys dog "Buster" died at the age of 14. He was a regular on his show but in the recent series Buster "retired" but made on and off appearances. Paul O'grady couldn't watch the montage of Busters life played at the end of the show, he had to go offstage. Poor guy.

I have a great cat called Fidget the TinkleKitten.

She was a stray who lived under my house. She was horribly thin and her fur was in a shocking condition. Over the period of a few months, my wife and I fed her up and built up her confidence.

Finally she made it into the kitchen, always sleeping right next to the door for a quick escape if needed. Now after about two years she is as tame as can be and happy as Larry.

She's called Fidget because she is incredibly nervous around new people/things. If friends come around to our house she will run away in terror. Interestingly, she will watch my wife and I with friends, and if she sees us give them a hug or a handshake, she figures that these people are her friends too, and will come out and try to find someone to go to sleep on.

And she's call Tinkle Kitten, because she was very hard work to get toilet trained!

Pics coming!

Same here. Maybe when I'm older.

My sister has a guinea pig called Jiggy as the colours of its fur looks like a jigsaw.

Her other one, Toffee, died a few weeks ago.

We used to have 3 fish, but that was years ago.

They were Wierdo (my fish), Choco (my sister's) and Bubbles (my dad's).

I called him Wierdo (I was young ) because he was black when I got him, then he slowly turned orange over the next few days while I was thinking of a name for him! He started to go a bit silver just before he died. I don't know what species he was.

Do you cry in corners as well?

I , too, had tropical fish, until my parents said they were not getting enough attention and sold them. They were getting loads really, but I think it was more because of the space they took up. :hmpf_bad:

I loved 'em so much! :cry_sad:

*cries in corner again*

No, I meant to cut that bit out. You're on your own there. :sceptic::grin:

Too bad. That sounds a bit unfair. I never paid much attention to mine, but I feel I would now I'm older.

I've got over them now. I just miss seeing something so graceful and living in the house. :sceptic:

I loved the Angel Fish the most, followed by Guppies.

I downloaded Aqua Vita for the Playstation 3 that is a sort of virtual solution.

It's boring, but visually very nice.
