Greetings! I picked this little guy up at LEGOLAND California last Friday as they were just being put on the shelves. First off, I must say I was totally surprised when I saw it, as I had no idea LEGO was making this! I am sure the timing is not a coincidence as Star Wars Weekend is coming up at LEGOLAND California June 13th and 14th.

Now on to the pictures!!! Sorry if the pictures turned out blurry, my camera was having trouble focusing on the chrome at such close distances.

First off, the front:

It's your standard stormtrooper, with a printed front and helmet, but in chrome!

Underneath the helmet, there is just a standard black minifig head.

The back is also printed! Good job LEGO!

Everything that comes in the packaging.

Perhaps a little armor envy?

The packaging is nice and simple with the original LEGO Star Wars logo:

Sorry, that is the only picture of the packaging I have. It met with an unfortunate end soon afterwards.

The price is $12.99 USD for the anniversary magnet. For those keeping track, the item number is 4560075.

Well, that just about wraps things up. Now I am going to head back to the park and pick a few more of these guys up before they're all gone!

Absolutely amazing, and great job on the pics, it almost looks like it's cast in solid silver.

I honestly think it's a better result than the golden C-3POs, plus I'll just be able to buy this for a reasonable price, unlike the other that I never was willing to cough up the money for.

Thanks for sharing it! :sweet:

GREAT JOB  i look forward to watching this thread-topic grow because im shore it will :classic:

once again great find and lucky you the first on EB to own one, unless someone else allready has one or a guest?

It just dawned on me... this will add a whole new range of chrome minifig parts to the ever growing "Museum of the Absurd" that I'm building by trying to get every part in every colour ever.

I hope this isn't the last we see if this idea. This is exactly how to do it TLG, much better than random package insertion. Thank you! :sweet:

I like the chrome look to the Stormie :classic:

I hope that we will see more of these chrome magnets packaged like that.

A dream magnet set would be Gold C3PO, Chrome Vader and Chrome Stormie.

I doubt that would ever happen though and nice clear pictures.

I would imagine it would be hard to get pictures of the chrome without too much of a reflection so you did well.

I can understand a Chrome C3P0 - he's gold and shiny!

I can understand a Chrome Vader - the glossy black makes him look super sinister!

Chrome Stormtrooper? It looks nice... but... why?

Because it's cool
Because the Emperor needed a new disco ball, that's why.

Eurovision's pernicious influence is everywhere :sadnew:

Actually, your explanation makes sense. I buy it :sweet: Can we get a John Travolta disco-struct pose with Palpy making eyes in the background? Please? :cry_sad:

It is a good surprise, and it has been a long time since the last time we had a set announcement and a review in the same day. TLG is doing a very good job with this chromie. It looks awesome and I really hope it will be easily available worlwide.

i would love to see an army of these (it would be a very expensive army, but nothing is too much for the emperor  )

now we have this character, we can think we will have more like this one (maybe for each special anniversary).

Thank you very much for this great review, PDQAg! :classic:

I of course voted for

Outstanding :oh::thumbup:

simply because it is outstanding!

That's really a great surprise!

I hope that it'll be available in Germany, too, and still until end of September when I'm going to buy some big Lego sets. Then I supposably would buy it if it isn't too expensive.

If anyone can pick up an extra one, PM me!!

I really want one of these!

Thanks, Jamie

My parents are going to Disney World in a week and because of this I'm sending them there with specific instructions to get this if they go to downtown disney. This looks great and it's nice to get a surprise once and a while from TLC.

Oh my!

I mean that is better then the last two. The Vader's torso print wasn't chromed, but this one is.

It's just too sweet for words!

My first post!

I was just at Disney World this weekend: No Chrome Stormtrooper. I did get like 300 trans clear cheese slopes though... so awesome.

Hopefully the Lego Stores will get these in. I hate hard to get exclusives.

Perhaps we'll even see some of those 85000 Chrome Vaders packed like this?

Toys "R" Us in Australia did something similar, but not as attractive, with the chrome C-3PO when it got released in limited quantities over there.

:cry_sad: hopefully they will be there in a week but I doubt it.
