sam89 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Here's a pic of the new set: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1503772 Quote
Yuppley Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I wonder where (if) the copter lands on it? Quote
kotua Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 It doesn't include batteries. That means that they're replacable. Seems that the helicopter windshield is back(but probably switched from hinge to click-hinge.) :oD . Why does it say on the side of the box Citadel Of Orlan(it has it in two non-english languages)? Pity they got rid of the lifejackets used by the City firefighters...it was cooler and could double as a bulletproof vest... Quote
gusmoore17 Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Is it for real??? It has stickers of the 2003 City Collection and the box reads "La Ciudadela de Orlan" which is from the Knights' Kingdom City of Orlan........quite strange, isn't it???? 8-| Quote
spotfrog Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 This could be great with a bit of modification. Kotua: That looks like a normal hinge on the windshield to me... Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I'd love to see Lego make some more boats/ships. - esp a cargo boat like 4030 released in 1987. If this is for real, it's a neat boat. The motor looks unique too. Quote
Athos Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I, too, would love to see more ships... though this one isn't really to my taste. Steve Quote
Hobbes Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 The cover on the box looks fake (the water around the bow)... or it's another "prototype picture"... tough call... Quote
xwingyoda Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 More ships is always great :oD But why another floating ship *wacko* I was hoping to have a "normal ship" like the firefighter ship which is truly great and NOT a floating ship like the off-shore boat. Oh well, lets hope for normal ships in the future ;) Quote
snefroe Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 this is weird. the text underneath the images is dutch. It says: "New, powerfull engine" and the other is "Police boat". it looks like a brochure of a shop, not like a catalog... it's also one page of two... where is the other one? you also don't see "lego" printed on the studs... the old hinges of the canopy: very strange, indeed! the text on the box isn't dutch/french (Belgium) or just Dutch (Netherlands), texts look like french/spanish or so..., so you basically have a Dutch/flemish shop brochure with foreign products in it that , to my knoledge, are not even allowed to be sold in at least Belgium... the helicopter reminds me of the old chopper, as some one else said, i like the ship as well, even tho it looks more like a yaught, not like a police boat... to be honest, i 'm very suspicious about this... Quote
Bloke Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 It is for real....I have seen it in the catalogue a while back while inquiring about the new SW sets, the bods at my local Lego store let me flick through it. Dave Quote

Well, first of all the only pieces without LEGO on the stud is the boat piece itself which is a prototype piece. Also about the hinge, that is the only type of hinge that fits with that piece, obviously LEGO is getting smarter by not making as many new pieces. And about the text on the side, LEGO just used that box and photoshoped it but forgot to take that out. And to answer Yuppley's question, if you look at the bottom right of the box pic, you can see a very small side view of it and then you can see at the back of the boat the helicopter is right there landed on it. Anyways, neat set! Quote
MattZitron Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 SO COOL. And of course this'll go with the Batman range, seeings as we're getting a Batboat. Quote
Aeturnus Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Not bad at all..although the skids on the helicopter grr..Looks like an attempt to get back into decent ships. I Hope I can get this one. Quote
Hobbes Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 although the skids on the helicopter grr.. Those are currently used for helicopters. I just built the "new" police station the other day where a helicopter with those skids is included. Didn't like 'em (the heli itself is nice, though). Quote
