Where did that 50th anniversary guy come from? Was that book a limited release or something. I remember seeing a collectors guide but nothing like this.

OMG- I have the Joker but I gave it to my son. I know he's rolling around in his Lego box... Must...get...him...back.

It was from the limited edition of the Collector's Guide. The hardback also came with a couple of special bricks as well as this minifig.

Correct. Here it is:

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?B=810004

It came with the minifig and only one other chrome gold brick with printing on it. two bricks: a yellow 1 x 8 brick with the words "LEGO® Fan" and "ANNO 1958" printed on, and a 2 x 4 chrome gold brick with the years "1958 - 2008" printed on.

I updated my list with some really old minifigs that are worth a lot. :classic:

EDIT: Fixed a mistake I made...

Wow, Greedo's worth 20 bucks? I got the Cantina set for free from a neighbor. :sweet:

Wait, Watto's worth 50 bucks?!?! CRAP! I gave mine away when I was younger.

Yeah I knew that but when and where was it released? I don't remember seeing it on the Lego sight.

This must be the craziest price for what it is worth... :oh:

I saw that too  I don't think it is 'worth' as nearly as much as they're hoping for.

It's probably worth less than the Watto fig since it has been so horribly defaced!

It was first released by collect-it.de, the publisher, as a limited edition hardback of approx 3,300 copies in August 08, after the paperback edition was already out. Obviously they didn't sell all since it then later appeared at S@H, but only very briefly - they sold out the remaining stock much more quickly, probably due to wider exposure and cheaper shipping fees than collect-it.de itself.

--> If she want to get rid of it she will be force to give it away for free... or she must give money on top of it...

And pay rent for a display space.

I agree with the suggestions for most expensive minifigs BUT I do have an issue with the use of Bricklink to establish the price. Bricklink is generally the most expensive place to buy anything - I've bought almost 100 SW sets over the past 6 months from stores and auction sites, and they've ALL worked out cheaper than the cheapest price I could find on Bricklink........
