Smithy Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Hi I'm Smithy Been lurking here for a year and thought it was time I joined. I've had lego for as long as I remeber. My main interest has been Technic lego every since I was given the 8040 pneumatics universal set. Second was the amazing 8860 Super Car set which took me over 2 weeks to build. Over the years I saved up to buy 3 or 4 models a year. Favourite sets were the technic cranes and diggers. In 2005 I used most of my parts to built a 3 meter high electric crawler crane. It could lift over 10kg to that height. Unfortunatly I moved flat and had to dismantle it. After moving I decided to catalogue all my parts and to sell them on bricklink. It was a hard decision to take but I was getting old (35). After 6 months on bricklink I was selling quite a bit but started getting orders for like 100 parts, 1 of each, costing £10 and decided it wasn't worth it anymore. I still buy one or two sets a year. My lastest being the Technic Bulldozer with remote control. My avatar is very close to being an actual photo of me! Quote

Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Welcome. I love your city. I have visited it three times. I would also like to see some pictures of your crane. I have never built much technic but always saw the appeal. Quote
