Hobbes Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 It looks like some people just don't check regular prices anymore: Advent Calendar Or they just don't read anymore: MIB - or is it... For you non-german-speaking folks out there: The second auction sells the box (and only the box!) of the shuttle! "OVP" stands for "OriginalVerPackung", which is basically the same as "MIB" or "MISB". The key here, however, is how he phrased the auction: he didn't say "Shuttle mit OVP" or just "Shuttle OVP", he said "OVP vom Shuttle", which means "Box of ... Shuttle" or "Box from ... Shuttle". Auctions like this are very "popular" in the cell-phone category. Tons of boxes were sold (or at least paid for) like this. Didn't think I'd ever see this in a toy category. Guess people stop at nothing for money... on the other hand, if you don't read carefully and have enough money to waste it, you don't deserve better... *wacko*
snefroe Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 isn't it generaly known that many ebay buyers are very often not well enough informed about the lego products they're bidding for... nothing surprises me anymore in this regard....
Jipay Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 happened to em to bid on this kind of empty box. The auction was not well described and I decided to give up my bid by using the "seller changed the description" option. After all, he somehow deserved it. As soon as I did this, all the other bidders on this auction did the same :-D It was a long time ago so it's not really new for lego products, unfortunatly I might add.
