jonfett Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 The picture doesn't seem to be working for me, but I have seen the film trailer and it looks quite funny. I think it is a spoof of the marvel comic "The incredible 4", it seems simaler to me. Jon. Quote

jonfett Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I just saw this film today. I thought it was very good, the animation was excellent (Pixar films always are though) The story was funny and worked well, some of the jokes seemed to be aimed at an older audience, although the cinema I was in was packed with kids. The ending left a little room for a sequel but I don't know if it would work. I would like to see one though. Overall a great film, I think my favourite part/character was the Ice dude (forgotten his name already!) who you can see in the top corner of the pic. Jon. Quote
DoubleT Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 I agree, have seen, a very good movie... im amazed thet Pixar has never made a bad movie... Quote
Luigi Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I saw it too, very pleasant, a lot of fun , the most with Edna "mais si ma cherieee passe demain vers 14h" sorry for the french ^^ To see :) Quote
jonfett Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Ah yes, Edna was very funny.. such a petite little person! I found it amusing when she explained about all the suits.. "now they are also machine washable!" :P Jon. Quote
Vader Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Pixars record for films is fantastic, ive never seen one that i didnt enjoy. I just wonder what will happen when they split from disney soon. :) Best part for me had to be when the ice dude couldnt find his suit due to his wife moving it, i had to nudge my girlfriend during that part as shes always moving my stuff to somewhere safe but when i ask where she can never remember. :( Quote
Jipay Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 I saw the movie ysterday and I had a great time ! The movie was fresh, but I like the fact that it's about real life problems. Like why some father are not happy in mariage and so on. I think I am not the main target for this kind of movies since it's about kids and parents. As Vader, the character I prefer was Ice ! *satis* Quote
Orlego Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 I thought this movie was great as well. Pixar does not like to do sequels. Disney kind of forced them to do Toy Story 2 and now Disney is going to attempt to do Toy Story 3 on there own. I think Pixar left the story line open so they have something they can use once they are on there own. What do you think about Pixars next movie Cars? Quote
Vader Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Not sure about cars, it seems a little to kiddie friendly. But hey who knows it might be their best yet. Quote
mahjqa Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I loved the incredibles. I've seen it twice in theatres now, and I don't think I can resist going thrice. I'd like to wax poetic about anything from the movie (the fact alone that it oozes style made me yoghurt my pants) but for the sake of shortwindedness I won't. Cars seems to be mediocre, but there's still a lot that can happen. Movie trailers in general consist of snaps from the movie, but Pixar has a habit of making trailers with footage never used in the movie. For example, Robert (Mr. Incredible) Trying to fit in his supersuit and hopelessly failing in putting on his belt. (Something I thought was a bit lame) Also, Pixar has also pushed back the release date of cars to summer 2006. They claim that it is to have a summer blockbuster (a lot of kids with free time is a lot of cash in the box office) but rumours have surfaced that it is to improve on 'Cars'. Also, the short shown beforehand (Boundin') was nicely executed, and just a happy-go-lucky tale. Quote
Vader Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 What i liked was that for the first time in a long time we got a short before the main feature, its something that used to be done alot in the past but not anymore. Boundin was very well done and lots of kids would have loved it. Quote
ApophisV Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Have seen it!!! Yesterday in the Sneak Preview..... *wub* Superb! Just Superb!!! I've really loved many great moments of the movie, e.g. Mr. Incredible driving his small car.... :D And especially the scene where he lifts the car and the small kid is looking at him.... Sooooo funny!!! :D It starts today in Germany for real, I'm thinking about watching it a second time.... ;) Quote
Orlego Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 What i liked was that for the first time in a long time we got a short before the main feature, its something that used to be done alot in the past but not anymore. Boundin was very well done and lots of kids would have loved it. They need to lose the narration in the shorts. I usually love the shorts but Boundin was way to long, boring and not very funny. Am I wrong or does every Pixar film have a short before it? Did Finding Nemo? Quote
ApophisV Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 but Boundin was way to long, boring and not very funny. Yeah.... The only funny scene was when the sheep was shaved... It looked a bit like Gollum afterwards... Quote
jonfett Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Oh man, I thought I had walked into the wrong screen when that came on. It seemed to last for about 10 minutes, but was way too long for me! But yes, that sheep sure looked funny! ;) Jon. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 My freind told me it was like a cartoon version of spykids, is this true? I hope not :/ Quote
Vader Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 No its not, theres plenty of jokes in it that are aimed at adults and i have to say i enjoyed it. Quote
