sam89 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 And about the landing craft...is it a normal imperial shuttle? or is it a theta class? Or in other words, what is a Lander? There are pics earlier in thread. Pics of what the shuttle will be, not of the actual set, that is ;-) Quote

androodeetoo Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 This is pretty neat-o news....now we need some pics! I could be wrong, but other than the possibility of Greivous' Magna guards there doesn't seem like much room for many brand new figures. I guess you never know. I sooooo wish they would just re-release the Imperial Inspection....I missed that one and it's forcing me to look at ebay :'-( . (also, i am bummed no new Harry Potter sets were announced). Quote
Cpt.Thok Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 New sets. >:-) I kinda gussed that. The video game demo lets you build an AT-ST and use it, and I do think that the AT-ST will have a Dewback, as it is used on Tatoonie. Cpt. Thok *knight* Quote
mutley777 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 i think greivous's ship will come with him and obi-wan only as they were the only characters that were near the ship. :-( but i also hold out a little hope that just maybe we will get a magna guard or 2 :-P Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I don't understand TLC (okie thats news :-D ). Seriously, a magna guard is a simple fig for TLC, they do not need any mold for it !! The only part that would cost a bit (but way less than a new mold) is the printed head, thats all !! And yes we definitly need more Utapau sets (Obi's JSF + Bosster ring *wub* ) !! Hum !! Anyhow that ONLY the january line up 8- Quote

I'm really looking forward to the minifig packs, and Grievous' starfighter... *prays that it includes Magna guard, like pretty much everybody else in this topic* *sweet* BTW, androodeetoo, I don't think they would release names for HP and *possibly* Spiderman 3 yet. But I'm with you, I really hope they bring back HP... Thanks for the names, Christian! ~Exo-Master Quote

But I'm with you, I really hope they bring back HP... Thanks for the names, Christian! ~Exo-Master I talked to a Lego rep at Toy Fair and he said they still have the HP lisence and that they are definitley bringing back HP in 2007 to coincide with The Order Of The Phoenix (though prob a limited amount of sets like they did for Goblet Of Fire). He said he was "pretty sure" someone else (mega maybe?) has the lisence for Spiderman 3. To keep this on topic...Master X Wing Yoda Man said he thinks these are just the first wave of sets for SW in 2007...what would be cool is a Stormtrooper battle pack complete with printed leg Stormie's and a mix and match Droid battle pack. Of course the ultimate would be a battle pack with Gungan Warriors(heehee). Quote
dunamis Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Magna guard would make my day. Also, the Imperial Lander could come with a Dewback, a couple of pilots and 4-6 sandtroopers. Quote
Two-Faced Batman Fan Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I don't want to get my hopes up too high on the Battle Packs. After all "Battle Packs" could mean a lot of things. For all we know it could be some action figure type of thing like the KK action figuresand you build out different types of clones *wacko* , but that is still unlikely though. I still wouldn't get my hopes up too high anyway. Quote
sam89 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I'm getting quite excited about the possible figures they could include with the Imperial Landing Craft. According to wikipedia, it's crew is 1 pilot, 1 co-pilot/sensor officer, 3 gunners. It can also hold 54 stormtroopers and lots of speeder bikes. So it seems likely to me that we could get a pilot, at least one gunner, and 4-6 storm/sandtroopers. We could also get a speeder bike and a dewback! Although I should't get my hopes too high, of course ;-) Quote

For instance they could avoid pauldron stormtroopers by setting it (box cover) inside an star destroyer hanger bay! As opposed to landing on Tatooine and depoying dewbacks & stormtrooper commanders, etc. It'll be the first set to have all imperials with no hero characters present! Quite a departure from the last few years of sets! The fact that they're doing a large set that has less screentime than the T-16 tells you that TLC has basically done all the vehicles justice now, only a few minifigs and creatures left to wrap everything up! Unless you're waiting for all the old figs in flesh..... X-D Quote
Exo-Master Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Megabloks are doing SM3...-Tilius- Really?!? To bad... (BTW, thanks for the tip off about the HP sets, androo) Anyway, back on topic. I wonder how many figs will be included in the "Battle Packs"...? Hopefully lots, because I only have two battle droids... Hey, maybe they'll bring back the Supers? Now that would be awesome. ~Exo-Master Quote
