V-wing on S@H

If no type of alien, ex. Taun Taun/Wampa are released in this set, I doubt we'll ever see one...

I'm not sure that's quite true. While I don't have any inside info like Sam (and thus am simply theorizing), I would be surprised if we NEVER get a Wampa or Taun Taun. Just having watched these forums for a couple of years, it seems like those are two of the most requested figures (along with other Hoth stuff like a probe droid). With five years left to go on the SW license, I would be astounded if they don't produce these sets eventually.

Personally I think it makes a lot of sense to put the Taun Taun, Wampa and probe droid all together in one smaller-sized set. That would make a lot of folks happy.

Also I would like to add that there are not that many re-releases/redesigns they can do doing those 5 years left on the OT I mean ;-) So there are sets like the Taun Taun patrol, Ackbar MF that will Happen (OK I am in optimistic mode here ;-) )

They could go into the EU if they wish (like they did ONCE with the Tie collection adding the Tie Droid) and maybe in the TV series (if they have the rights), but still they have to relese new iconic MFs/creatures of the OT !!

Also TLC did listen tio fans in releasing the Barge hehe So who knows what '07 holds in terms of SW release (we'll know in a couple of months anyway hehe ;-) )

come on, yoda! slave 1; xwing, ywing, bwing,vwing, tie fleet, MF, atat, atst, atte, ... the list goes on... in the end, all i see is that the number of rereleases, redesigns compared to the total number of new sets every year is quite high. Basically, they're just looking at profits here. Sure, it's nice to see a taun taun set. as if that is going to have a major sale, if it's, for instance, 30 euro...

Not in the 5 years remaining though, especially given the fact that '06 saw the redesign of:

* A-Wing (V2)

* B-Wing (V2)

* X-Wing (V3)

* Slave 1 (V2)

Those are safe from redesign for at least 3 years now IMO.

Here are some sets that will be redesigned IMO:

* AT-ST

* AT-AT

* Y-Wing

* Tie Bomber

* Snowspeeder

* Speeder bikes

And after we can only hope that there will be loads of new sets from the OT and some of the EU (E-Wing, Tie Defender anyone :-P ).

The more you think about what TLC can do, the more TLC does the opposite X-D like the '06 X-Wing :-P

i think that there is a very good chance the x-wing ship will not change from the last one. the set sounds alot like the imperial inspection set which appart from new gray's was the same ship.

The Imperial Inspection set had more than just "minor details": more MFs, a maintenance vechicle, some DS2 scenery. OK I'm not affected by having already had the Imperial Shuttle, but I think the II was a very worthwhile release. I really enjoyed it.

Set most in need of an upgrade: AT-ST

Second most in need: Sith Infiltrator (not OT, but majorly unfulfilling of potential)

What's wrong with the Y-Wing? OK, maybe it could do with a minor overhaul, but again its smart.

If the system-scale ISD is successful, I think a system-sclae Tantive IV in the same vein would be excellent.

Yes "Minor details" since I was referring only to the shuttle itself and NOT the set it came in :-|

Well I'm not suprised it's not in there to be honest. Remember, if I'm right, this set will be anounced somewhere between the 8th and the 15th of July , most likely on the 14th.

I STILL don't like the idea of a NEW x-wing and ANOTHER tie fighter. How about a new republic gunship and a UCS V-wing or Arc fighter?

i'm afraid they're looking at profits first. if those two models sell the best, even as a 2nd version, then they'll produce a third... or maybe it's because of the release of the old films on dvd...

if lego DOES come out with a new x-wing, that is just........just FANTASTIC. given this set has just been released twice already i am SURE people would definitely prefer a new x wing compared to a new republic gunship or ATAT walker.
