xwingyoda Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I think that Xwing has 437 parts (100 less than Slave1) so it would make sense to have it under 59.99 Quote
mutley777 Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Well apparently the 6212 X-wing will be Hoth-based, and will most likely include R2-D2, Chewie, Han, Leia, Luke and another pilot, maybe Wedge. nearly a month ago and the info was spot-on sam. take a good look all those who doubted his information. xwingyoda Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Indeed Mutley !! There will always be people that will not trust what respected members of this site/community (especially Sam) say until they have the "lego rep communication" stamped on the post :-| Whatever, leave those "infidels" alone in their dark corner :-P If EB had coins it would read "In Sam we trust" :-D *yoda* Quote
Deinonychus Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 If EB had coins it would read "In Sam we trust" :-D *yoda* :-D I know a place where we could get some of those minted Quote

prateek Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 TLC is adding lots of figs but also adding price as it seems *y* / *n* |-/ Quote
Echo Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 ... Well that sucks. It is hardly differant from the '04 X-Wing! Quote
Poohbear Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 ... Well that sucks. It is hardly differant from the '04 X-Wing! Yeah, depending on your perspective, but X-Wings for LEGO seem to be following the Slave I trend. At first the Slave I was released (7144 IIRC). Years later it was "somewhat" released as the Episode II version with major changes for the redesign. Now it's been rereleased again with seemingly no changes but as builders find out, it has quite a few. Hopefully things will be the same. Quote

Steff Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 anyone knows, who took the TRU pic? Did he buy the set and can give us more pics? ;) I am wondering, why TRU holland have got this set, because TRU Germany will get it in october :( Quote
Aeturnus Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I found an image of the new x wing on brickshelf looks very like the dagobah x wing ..or is it just a image created by somone . It seems to have Leia ,Han solo,a couple of pilots(luke being one of them) r2d2 and chewbacca. Bring out Queen Armadala in her Royal ship or something new... Lego says "just imagine" well I say you and I have to as their designers have none. Even when given such a diverse range of material as the six starwars movies. Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Okie here is a quick update for the newbies to this thread ;-) This is a REAL set found at TRU Holland !! I read that the person taking that pic will buy a new cell phone and will post more pics so be patient hehe !! And I inquired with TRU today and they are not aware of such a set but they are morons and don't know anything about the products they sell :-| The price is 69.99 (same as the Slave1) so its safe to assume that in France it will be 59.99 since the Slave1 is 59.99 ;-) *yoda* Quote
Poohbear Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Here's my question, who else is extremely dissapointed that new Star Wars LEGO had no prescense at Comic Con besides the already released ISD Playset and Sail Barge? I know I am as I was expecting something absolutely concrete which we now have...no thanks to LEGO's Comic Con participation. Quote
kotua Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Finally Princess Leia comes in a set less than 99.99USD! Pity its in a re-released set though. I haven't gotten chewbacca, Han, Leia, or that other pilot dude, so I might get this set for those figs, and to have another X-Wing. As long as the price its not above 39.99, I might buy it. Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I totally agree with you Poohbear !! Considering the time and money Lego put in its participation for Comic Con, we really did expect something a lot better !! Fans like me are immensly pissed at TLC stupid management !! They haven shown anything !! The minimum was displaying that xwing and the two new UCS sets: AT-ST and Tie X-1 !! I was also expecting new products for '07 (SW and all the other licences !!) and they gave us NADA !!! I wish TLC were doing what Hasbro is doing :-| *yoda* Quote
Vader Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 And lego wonders why they continue to lose money :-| Heres a thought lego why not use events like the con to show new sets and how about doing a little research through sites like these to see what people want! So not only is this set the same price as the slave 1 but its also 100 pieces less?? man that sucks! >:-( Quote
Deinonychus Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I wish TLC were doing what Hasbro is doing :-| *yoda* Wow...normally that statement would make me shiver with dread...but I gotta agree this time :-D Quote
vahkimetru Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Lego is always my favorite toy, but I do like SW Action Figures to an extent... And when I saw Hasbro's display online, I said "WOW! Lego ought to have one that's better or equally good, this one is great!" Toy fair was better! C'mon Lego! I once met a Lego employee, sort of on accident at TRU, he was delivering a display. YES, I'm sure he was Lego not TRU, he told me, but when I asked him if he knew about EB, BZP, RS, etc. He had no clue. Lego has got to look into these sites!!!!!! Quote
mutley777 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 ok. from what i have been reading elsewhere this price in the second pic may not be the price for the set. can anybody here confirm this? hopefully it will be cheaper :-P Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Indeed !! Hopefully it will be cheaper than Slave1 since it has less parts BUT its TLC we're talking about :-| *yoda* Quote
vahkimetru Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 $39.99 is bearable methinks. The other price made my head spin. X-O Quote
Deinonychus Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Yeah...seriously here people...who honestly believes that the price on the shelf is what that set is going to sell for? Has nobody ever seen something on the wrong part of the shelf before :-P It looks pretty much along the lines of the other two X-wing sets which were around $40 US if I'm remembering correctly. Those sets had the little pilot tram and Yoda's Hut included respectivly and it appears as if the secondary piece has just been replaced with more Minifigs. Personally I'd rather have more Minifigs, even if they are ones I already have, then not-too exciting secondary pieces. And if the set isn't different enough for you or you feel like it's not a good value then just don't friggin buy it! I think it's great LEGO is changing it up a bit instead of reissuing the older sets again. It keeps the set fresh while at the same time keeps a very popular vehicle on the shelves. (Have you seen what the other two releases go for online these days?) Little kids will love it! and that's who it's really for...little kids...not full-grown men living in their parents' basements surrounded by dozens of little bins with LEGO bricks seperated out by type and color who spend hours online bitching about how LEGO is ripping them off and who don't know what it's like to kiss a girl. As LEGO fans we're lucky. I've seen many examples where LEGO listens to the adult fans and takes steps to cater to our wants. You have no idea what it's like to be patronized and looked down upon as a collector until you deal with Hasbro. Compared to them LEGO is like a loyal girlfriend almost. And besides...LEGO is reportedly releaseing sets this September...so there's more to come, and thusly another chnce to be impressed Quote
sam89 Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 And besides...LEGO is reportedly releaseing sets this September...so there's more to come, and thusly another chnce to be impressed Nope, they're only releasing the X-wing and the 10175 UCS TIE Advanced. Quote
