Oh and silly me, xwingyoda I just saw your other topic thanks for all the pics! I'm loving the minifigs, although I am not sure I'm THAT keen on the holographic Emperor. It is still a VERY nice touch however.

i would be very cautious with rumours like this. there's been rumours about a rerelease almost from the last day of production of the originel AT-AT, so unless an official source confirms this i'd categorise this rumour as some one's wet dream...

Yes it could very well just be a "good" dream with an AT-AT release, just think of how often we all have dreamed about old LEGO sets, suddenly appearing in the local toyshop. Anyway I think this could be true. I was thinking of buying an extra AT-AT on Bricklink, but I think I will wait, an see if this is true or not. Just love that set, but in general I hate re-releases. Give us some original new sets, not that old stuff.

IMHO, since TLC/LFL extended their licensing deal until 2011, I believe an AT-AT re-release or redesign over the next four years is a near certainty... Lego wouldn't be cruel enough not to give us another one, surely.. ? :-/

I mean, lets take an off topic brake and think about it this way:

'07 will doubtfully see any new sets from ROTJ '06 already had loads of them !!)

So, they have a choice between ANH or ESB (its only logic).

What can they do from ANH: another Falcon ? Nan, too early and the next redesign Falcon should be from ROTJ (with a new Lando and Nien Nunb). And I think its too early for a new Cantina and speeder (probably in '08). The only set they could redesign is that bloody droid escape pod with another R2 and C3PO :-X

Also, TLC only released 5 sets from ESB: Falcon redesign, AT-AT, snowspeeders (both versions) and Tie Bomber.

Therefore, I am positive '07 will bring us new Hoth sets such as:

* the much anticipated Taun Taun patrol

* a new "MF set like the Imperial Inspection" with a redesign AT-ST, Gun Turret (we already have enough radars) + snowies, Hoth rebels and a new fig: AT-ST pilot !!

* AT-AT re-release or redesign (unless they want to do an Endor version ??)

* We need another set at around 100$: Rebel Transport ship (just need to be a little bigger than the Barge).

* We need another Tie, hence a redesign Tie Bomber !!

Reading this TLC ? (probably not hehe), so bring it on !! Bring it on !!

Well it wouldnt surprise me if lego gave us another AT-AT, if they do i just hope they change the cockpit so that you can fit 2 pilots and an officer. Some rebel troops would be good also, hopefully we will see other hoth sets before they do a re-release though.

I would love to get my hands on an at-at, I could have buyed one, but that was in my dark ages, i think lego will release a new one, perhaps with captain Needa X-D,

but i'm not quite certain about this, i mean the only set i can imagine being rereleased is a republic gunship, i mean i've read hundreds of posts of both AFOL's and kids which really wanted a new gunship, that, plus it's such an iconic ship of the new trilogy, makes me believe they will rerelease that one fast... (just hoping *pirate* )

but, if there's going to be a new at-at, it will almost certainly replace the turbo tank, do you like that? do you want to be responsable for that?! i mean the vehicle with the best suspension ever! (only heard that, didn't get my hands on one hehe :-P )....

oh hech what am i saying, lego will rerelease one anyway :-P

I would love this to happen. I am envious whenever I see a friend who has one. It is one of my fave vehicles from my fave Star Wars film. I have been praying for a re-release. I just hope they manage to keep it as good as the original release, and don't change anything too major.
