marcosbessa Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 This is an experience I made yesterday with the few parts I have at home... (almost all my stuff is still in Tomar, where our 2nd TOMARLEGO has taken place). I used the new IR car base from the Turbo RC new sets. Still don't know if it moves ok, 'cause my batteries went low before I tried it. Maybe it won't have power to move, but it's nice even though, right? I loved to do my first "big" car! Hope you like it too! Quote
KimT Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Nice work. Perhaps you could do a youtube video of this thing in motion when your batteries have recharged? Quote
Dryw Filtiarn Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Excellent creation. I love how you made the seats inside the car and the usage of some other "odd" elements in the model. Does the RC model still run properly with these wheels on it? My experience is that the RC chassis will only properly function with the standard wheels or identically sized or smaller ones. I noticed that when you put wheels on it that cause to much friction the car isn't properly able to steer :( Overall I'm not too satisfied with the RC chassis anyway. Quote
marcosbessa Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 (...)Does the RC model still run properly with these wheels on it? (...) These are just the bigger set wheels (8184)! So there can't be any problem with that! Tomorrow I'll try it with new batteries and maybe do a movie! Later I'll post it here.... Thanks! Quote

Asuka Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 In fact, the construction is too heavy for the base! A very fine and lovely work nevertheless! Quote
shimon Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 wow very nice!! i have a question how do you make the background??? Quote
marcosbessa Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 (...)how do you make the background??? I used a simple white cardboard with cellophane at the bottom, where the car lands. It was the first time I used this technique, but for small MOCs it's very cool! Quote
huck to flat Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 And I've already tried it........... But didn't get good results! In fact, the construction is too heavy for the base! Perhaps get rid of the fruit on the back and make some adjustments? I'd love to see a V2 with it being able to actually go! Quote
marcosbessa Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Perhaps get rid of the fruit on the back and make some adjustments? I'd love to see a V2 with it being able to actually go! Well.... I tried it! And tried much more! I almost left the car "naked"! Soon as I get some free time, maybe i'll try to build the V2! ;) Quote
Guss Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 very very cool ! Love it , there's a lot of nice details, great job ^^ Quote
Spyder Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Great job, I like the interior the best. Those seats are great, and so is the steering wheel. Quote
