[MOC] The Penguin's Confederate MTT.

Gentlemen! It gives me great pleasure to present you my latest SW MOC: Confederate MTT! )

How could such a great CIS fan as me, not make one? )

First of all I must say, that I made it as I see it: that is I did not base it on the one shown in CW cartoon. I never liked their variant, with those ghastly-looking pale blue markings..... I think it looks "sick". )

I tried to make my version to have a mighty look, to give you a certain impression, that's it's a vehicle to be taken into account on the battlefield. )

MTT looks good in grey and your Wat Tambor looks really awesome.

That is great! The chosen colour scheme looks good, and those gunners are fabulous! I'll make my own, and fail miserably. My fingers are too big to hold small brushes!

Someone here ought to try and make a tan AAT using the CW design.

No, not quite. ) General Pingvin is 100% purist LEGO.

And Wat Tambor has a custom head, mask and markings non LEGO body. )

No sets in paticular. A penguin is a wise bird: has something in each of multiple nests. So I gathered the required parts and made it. Note, that I changed some details according to my taste. )

Indeed, they are not sold in Russia. )

No, of course, I didn't use any pen or things like that. I used special minifigure paint (I used to paint and play Warhammer a lot ), that can be found in any Games Workshop store. )

Actually its almost a copy in terms of brick location and details.

So is it more like a MOD of that set? I.e. change the color scheme?

Or did you do something fundamentally different?

Yes, indeed, I used the old brown one as a base for mine. I changed the colors, some minor details, decorations and patterns. ) Plus, I modifyed the front and back doors, made it a bit higher and a stud longer. For some reason, I didn't take pictures of the inside compartments, but there I made a cargo space where a speeder was supposed to be. )
