Posted June 22, 200915 yr Hi I just found this picture on BrickShelf from barman's gallery from Lego-Inside-Tour What do you think? The next landmark set? greetz Sebastian
June 22, 200915 yr I think it's just another Architecture set. (a bigger one) But it does look nice, definitely something Lego would make. I would buy it.
June 22, 200915 yr No, I think this was only on offer to those people who went on the Lego Insiders Tour. You can see it's a limited edition from the numbering in the lower right hand corner. 17/32... Looks good though, some nice ideas. M.
June 22, 200915 yr Thanks for sharing! This is beautiful, with the classic gable roof and the interesting corner technique on the ground floor. From the numbering I'd agree that it looks like very much like one of the limited sets given out to those who take the Insider's Tour. It reminds me of an updated version of one of the older pre-minifig houses released in the 70s, but I'd have to look at my Collecter's Guide to remember which one.
June 22, 200915 yr Wow, this is truly a nice house. If only it would have a bit of landscape, it could be a real set for sale! I would buy that one in a heartbeat...
June 23, 200915 yr i think thats the "exclusive gift" from the inside tour of the lego factory From barman's (Dutch) posts on LowLUG, I can indeed confirm this. It's Ole-Kirk's 1950s house. According to barman, an exclusive for the inside tour of which only 32 were made and 21 handed out to participants.
June 23, 200915 yr Very cool! The skylights are a nice touch. Wonder if we will see this released at all.
June 24, 200915 yr Wonder if we will see this released at all. Probably not. I'm guessing that only 32 will ever be made. It looks really nice, though. EDIT: Nice find, too. Edited June 24, 200915 yr by ILikePi
June 25, 200915 yr I think it's real...If it is, I will probably get it! Did you even read my post (and everyone else's)? It is a real set, but probably only 32 of these exist. Also, the Inside Tour costs around $1,500... It would be awesome if more would be made and be sold to the public, but that will probably never happen.
June 25, 200915 yr Looking at the pic I would assume, that building OKK´s house wouldn´t be a too big problem. Standard parts, easy and cheap to get. Start building, folks!
June 25, 200915 yr there is a " 17/32 " on it .. does it means there's only 32 of this model ? anyway that's a cool set, I want it too^^
June 25, 200915 yr Author Looking at the pic I would assume, that building OKK´s house wouldn´t be a too big problem.Standard parts, easy and cheap to get. Start building, folks! that's what I think, too. I just want the building instruction, because you can't see the inside or the back. I also would build it virtually in MLCAD and provide it for everybody else.
October 22, 201113 yr (Bump) There are 40 pictures of the "Lego Inside Tour" (LIT) 2009 "Ole Kirk's House" set on nori-gallery's Brickshelf gallery: Edited October 22, 201113 yr by DLuders
October 22, 201113 yr Thanks, I was looking at this the other day, started working on it in MLCAD. Didn't know there was a thread for it. Also, it looks like he added more pics the other day when I saw his Brickshelf folder. Jamie
October 24, 201113 yr I finished the LDraw file for this. The file for it, will be up as soon as it is modded. It may not be 100% accurate, but, close. I had to guess on the inner roof area. But, built it up as I would. It looks right from the outside. The piece count for it can to 863! More then I thought it would be. Enjoy, Jamie Edited October 24, 201113 yr by jamie75
