Loganwan Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I am headed to England and France for a two week trip with my wife. I am wondering if anyone knows of any unique sets I cannot get here in the US, and should be looking for while I am away. I know there are some stores over there that occasionally have some special sets. I am taking off tomorrow afternoon, but I will have my computer with me to check for updates. Any help you can send my way would be great. Thanks!
UserNameInvalid Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Better question is: what can you bring us from the US that we don't have here... As far as I know there are no current sets here that you don't have. Besides, all Lego is much more expensive here. BTW I have not seen the Good Wizard in the UK in a long time. Did recently see it in The Netherlands and Germany though. It is a fun set. (I love impulse sets)
Natman8000 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I don't think at this time there are any european exclusive sets, but I know in the store- Hogasoarus Toymaster, or something like that, they sell some older sets. Also, I know that some places in europe they are selling the new Star Wars sets. Good luck searching!
Loganwan Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Thanks all. Of course, as a LEGOholic, the first thing I thought of when my wife said she wanted to got England and France was the prospect of getting something I can't get here. Apparently there is a really cool toy store in Paris, but we will have to wait and see. Thanks again for the help. T-minus 7 hours until wheels up, and then I am stuck inside an aluminum tube for the next 11 hours flying over the arctic.
The Rancor Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 As far as I know, stores in the Uk still only have Summer City for 2009 - no other Summer sets yet. I would like to hear what you find or buy though. It'll be different for you to NOT have all those friggin' safety warnings on the boxes!
