KimT Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I know I can't but perhaps some of our members are going to attend this Con. This is the spot to discuss and plan meeting points. Quote
madoka Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I tried buying tickets 6 weeks ago, but they were already sold out. Is there any way to still get tickets? Quote
Mariann Asanuma Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I'm going. In fact, I'll be at the LEGO booth helping out. So if anyone is going, stop by. I tried buying tickets 6 weeks ago, but they were already sold out. Is there any way to still get tickets? Madoka, sorry, but unless you want to pay ridiculous scalped ticket fees, there's no way to go. The tickets sold out in April. Quote

Dadster Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Thanks a ton for the Press Release Info!! As a long-time comic fan, attending SDCC has been a dream yet to come true. Can't wait to see all the pics and hear about any rumors! Quote
dieselboy m Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I tried buying tickets 6 weeks ago, but they were already sold out. Is there any way to still get tickets? Actually, a couple days ago Comic-Con International released a limited number of passes on their official eBay account due to cancellations and such. I also had originally missed out on getting tickets because of the sell out, but was alerted to the passes released and took advantage of the deal right away. There were quite a lot actually, but as I write this there are only two 4 day memberships left, check them out here. So, if anyone is in the area and wants to go but missed out on tickets before, you still have a chance to get passes at cost. I'm going. In fact, I'll be at the LEGO booth helping out. So if anyone is going, stop by. Did you do the San Diego Comic-Con International logo sculpture? I love it. Quote
Lego12 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 I have a friend who's going that will pick up exclusives for me and such, but alas I won't be going. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) I have a friend who's going that will pick up exclusives for me and such, but alas I won't be going. It would be a good idea to tip your friend off to buy a couple extra of those exclusives. He/She can buy them for fifty, and sell them for hundreds! Edited July 25, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Mariann Asanuma Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Did you do the San Diego Comic-Con International logo sculpture? I love it. Thank you. Yes, that's mine. Here's what it looks like if you can't go. Quote
Glacarcheo Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Has anyone seen the Bionicle mural yet? If so could I please have a picture? Quote

Mariann Asanuma Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Has anyone seen the Bionicle mural yet? If so could I please have a picture? Here's some pictures I took of the Bionicle Mosaic. In case you were wondering, there were 875 6x6 white plates, each with a different mosaic pattern that made up the whole mosaic. We pulled the bags out one at a time randomly, so it was kind of a "mystery" build for the first day, because you couldn't really see what the whole picture would be. This picture is while Mark (he's the one in the picture) and I were working the building event. It took two days and many Comic Con attendees to help us build this. Here's the finished model. Mark and I also worked on a giant Bionicle Mask. The original idea was to put it on the mosiac, but it turned out to be too big. So we ended up just having it on display. I wrote about it on my Model Building Secrets' Blog You can see more on my Flickr Photostream Quote
