TheLonelySquireOfGothos Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I really like that first one LonelySquire! Your photography isn't stellar, but that is some quality humor right there. The seoncd one I'm not so sure on though, because it actually makes sense that the Imperials would want camoflaged speeder bikes; brown for forest, white for snow. It jsut seems like normal army tactics to me. Sorry, my camera is not too good, it's a 5 MP from about 3 years ago. About the speeder color, the Empire doesn't seem like the type to care too much about camouflaging anything, at least in my opinion. It's pretty clear in the films that, when it comes to large-scale battles, brute force is really their only tactic, and only in a few happy coincidences is anything really camouflaged at all. But hey, maybe that's just how I saw it. Thanks for the comments and critiques everybody, I appreciate them. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Where do you get the inspiration from? That's hard to pinpoint. Since I'm trying to do one a day, I just start brainstorming. Sometimes I collect a lot of Star Wars figures together and look at them, and other times things just pop into my head at random times and I remember them for when I do a shoot. Now, number two in this little series. Yes, the joke stems from the same place, but the context is, of course, different... Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Another very funny one Cloney! Keep up the funny work! Quote
Stardusty Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I have a feeling that arf-arf ( ) troopers will kill your sigfig when you sleep because of these hilarious jokes. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I think this one was a little harder to get if not for the first one, but great job! Quote
KimT Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Clone O'Patra why aren't those photos part of the LEGO Star Wars Photography Pool? Quote
The Legonater Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Soon enough I get the feeling he'll take the one I thoguht of... nevertheless, these are great, Clone O'Patra Anyways; Quote
Flare Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Soon enough I get the feeling he'll take the one I thoguht of... nevertheless, these are great, Clone O'Patra Anyways; *snip* I'm tired, I can't think well, so: Which one is saying the line? The guy on the starfighter or the guy on the ground? Quote

Clone OPatra Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Is it a joke on "A long time ago…?" Otherwise, I don't understand. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Is it a joke on "A long time ago…?" Otherwise, I don't understand. Either that or that is General Grievous' Starfighter; does GG ever call it an antique in CW? Quote
The Legonater Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Either that or that is General Grievous' Starfighter; does GG ever call it an antique in CW? Nah, that one's just pure coincidence. It is indeed a play on the classic opening phrase. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Nah, that one's just pure coincidence. It is indeed a play on the classic opening phrase. It would be a coincidence if GG did actually call it an antique in the show, but I don't think he ever does. I have watched every episode and I do not recall it. Quote

Although I have to ask, why the GG starfighter? Was ot what you had assembled or is there a particular reason? It's definitely not the most advanced personal craft that's been made as a set. Quote

Masked Builder Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Luminara to me is probably the only good looking Clone Wars figure so this came about. Quote

I only think there are to many "clone wars vs normal" themed photos. I would like to see others. Edited January 11, 2011 by Blackknight112 Quote

Flare Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Heres my first one. Sorry if its not too good, but I have more ideas on the way! Quote
Rufus Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Hopefully the yellow thingy is as recognisable and universal for everyone as it is in the UK! Quote
KimT Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Nice one Rufus. Where did you post this on flickr? I can't find it in your flickr stream. Quote
