Brickdoctor Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Great job, Plissken. The OT characters must really hate the PT characters - they're hunting them for sport! Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Plissken, that is very nice! That's one of my favorites! Quote

Peanuts Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Nice! How'd you get his arm like that? And there's people who say it was unhealthy when the arm is separated from the body Nonetheless, great one, WampaStompa. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Going old school, here's my first with just a title… Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I don't seem to recall those torsos and printed legs being available that early. Somehow for me this was less of a funny and more of a nostalgic reminder of recreating Star Wars in LEGO before the theme was introduced. Quote
Peanuts Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Great one Makes me really nostalgic ...to a time I never lived to see. Quote
prateek Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Great new pictures everyone Another one from me, without words, just called "Buddy Vacation". Enjoy. IT'S A TRAP! Great wave of new funnies everyone! Quote
WampaStompa Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Looks like a rubber band. Thanks George.... No rubberbands involved....its just the way he hold's himself :) Quote
Artanis I Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) I don't seem to recall those torsos and printed legs being available that early. Yeah, would've been made with a plain white torso, plain white legs, and the hairpiece (if it actually existed in '77 - it was introduced in '79) would've been black or brown. The blaster was introduced in '82, and the tap piece in '84. Funnily enough, the round plate wasn't introduced until 1980 either so these minifigs would've been WAAAY ahead of their time in 1977! edit: oh yeah, and the minifig torso, legs & standard grin head weren't introduced until '78 either... how did we miss that! Brickdoctor Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) edit: oh yeah, and the minifig torso, legs & standard grin head weren't introduced until '78 either... how did we miss that! Guess we over-thought things. If you don't want to use the really old people, uh, Duplo people debuted in '77. (albeit at that time as LEGO Preschool elements) EDIT: Alright, here we go; LEGO Star Wars, in 1977: Edited February 1, 2011 by Brickdoctor Quote
Artanis I Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 EDIT: Alright, here we go; LEGO Star Wars, in 1977: *schnip* how far we've come... and in 10 years we'll be laughing at today's sets. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 how far we've come... and in 10 years we'll be laughing at today's sets. [snip] Who needs to wait ten years? Flick-fire missles, stickers, juniorization - I could laugh at today's sets right here and now. Oh, and your pic was funny, too. Ha ha. Quote
