And there's people who say it was unhealthy when the arm is separated from the body :oh3:

Nonetheless, great one, WampaStompa.

I don't seem to recall those torsos and printed legs being available that early. :look:

Somehow for me this was less of a funny and more of a nostalgic reminder of recreating Star Wars in LEGO before the theme was introduced.

Great new pictures everyone

Another one from me, without words, just called "Buddy Vacation". Enjoy.

IT'S A TRAP!

Great wave of new funnies everyone!

Yeah, would've been made with a plain white torso, plain white legs, and the hairpiece (if it actually existed in '77 - it was introduced in '79) would've been black or brown. The blaster was introduced in '82, and the tap piece in '84. Funnily enough, the round plate wasn't introduced until 1980 either so these minifigs would've been WAAAY ahead of their time in 1977!

edit: oh yeah, and the minifig torso, legs & standard grin head weren't introduced until '78 either... how did we miss that!

Guess we over-thought things.

If you don't want to use the really old people, uh, Duplo people debuted in '77. (albeit at that time as LEGO Preschool elements)

EDIT: Alright, here we go; LEGO Star Wars, in 1977:

 how far we've come... and in 10 years we'll be laughing at today's sets.

[snip]

Who needs to wait ten years? Flick-fire missles, stickers, juniorization - I could laugh at today's sets right here and now.

Oh, and your pic was funny, too. Ha ha.

Seconded. Not to mention excessive molds that jack up prices.

 So very true, George G.

Although personally I feel it was time for 'It's a trap!' jokes to die a long time ago.

How can "its a trap" jokes be out of date? Unlees you get into the trap of doing them all the time....

It's a trap!

No seriously, I think that line is overused. But it still makes for a good geeky quote now and then.
